OK, how's about 12:30? Gives us all time to wake up and get something to eat before we start.
How long is this TF, by the way? As I said earlier, I really need to be done by 7pm, as I have people coming over in the evening. Should be ok, but just wondering. -
Anyway.... bringing this back on topic, does anyone have a preferred start time? How does 10AM BST sound to everyone? It's just a suggestion

I'd be happy to join you with Tarah on Saturday, so long as we're done by 7pm.
She's a lvl39 Kat/Inv scrapper and badge-hunter-in-training -
Sorry guys, Tarah's gonna have to miss this one - I've been invited to a barbecue, and I doubt I'll be back in time for her to join you. Enjoy it anyway!
-
Chi Tarah might be available for this, but there's a possibility of RL commitments getting in the way. I'll let you know for sure this evening.
-
Gratz Lorri! Well done on the big 5-0.
It was nice to team with you on the way. I seem to remember you being unwell due to the heat when we last teamed (a CoT train mish I think) so hope that's all over now. -
Real life has got in the way I'm afraid guys, so I'll have to pull out. Sorry about that
I will be on, just nowhere near long enough to do any TFs. Hope you all have fun though. -
As well as Saturday 11-7, I'll be online sometime after 5pm this evening, depending on when I get back from work. I'm free all evening, so happy to do whatever people want to do. Hopefully we can get at least one of these done tonight. Send a tell as soon as you see me on - I'll go solo until I hear from you.
Tarah's a level 38 Kat/Inv scrapper, just in case you wondered -
I'd be happy to join you on either with Tarah - she's 2 bars away from 38, but should get that sorted this evening. Anytime between 11 and 7 on Saturday is good for me, but don't worry if you want to do it some other time - I won't be offended

As promised, Tarah's build plan. She's 37 at the moment, so the final few powers may change slightly. Here goes:
1 - Resist Physical Damage, Sting of the Wasp
2 - Gambler's Cut
4 - Temporary Invulnerability
6 - Air Superiority
8 - Flashing Steel
10 - Dull Pain
12 - Swift
14 - Fly
16 - Unyielding
18 - Health
20 - Stamina
22 - Lotua Drops
24 - Kick
26 - Soaring Dragon
28 - Invincibility
30 - Tough
32 - Golden Dragonfly
35 - Hasten
38 - Unstoppable
41 - Build Up
44 - Conserve Energy
47 - Laser Beam Eyes
49 - Super Speed

Notes: I didn't play Tarah up entirely using this build - it's a respec job done in the high 20's after consulting with fellow players. It seems to work well. I've exemplared for task forces and it felt like the right skills were available to help me manage sufficiently. After Unstoppable, I see the rest of the powers as almost Quality of Life powers (i.e. not essential, but adding to the fun of the game). While I don't intend taking over this thread, I hope all this has been helpful to my fellow K/I scrappers, and any thoughts, questions and comments would be welcome. -
That could come in handy to us other Kat/Inv scrappers. I like charging in with Tarah (with a measure of caution where necessary) and hacking away until there's nothing left, so a look at your build might be a nice idea. I'll put Tarah's up next time I'm on, though it's by no means perfect.
As far as Invincibility goes, I can't quite make sense of my scribbled-down notes but I've got one ToHit Buff pencilled in, along with some End Reductions and some Defence Buffs (I think that's what it says - I wrote it a while ago...) -
For what it's worth, I think text-speak is fine if used sensibly, though I prefer to use proper English myself when possible.
The one exception I do have to the use of text speak is in written reports and essays - e.g. some twit in a university group gathering the others' work together and submitting the whole thing in text-speak. Annoyed? You bet we were! -
Gratz on another level 50 alt
Here's a challenge for you - see how many you can get before Tarah hits the big 5-0... (nearing 37 at present, so you've got a while) -

claws being catlike you could say leaping but haste from speed pool will add survivability by allowing dullpain to recharge faster etc. Flight and TP just dont synergise unless you can come up with something special.

As I read this you are saying Flight and TP don't synergise, which is why I responded as I did.
As for the rest I know of no cats that can dull pain or speed themselves up.

I hear cheetahs can be quite nifty... -
It's not just you. My lag was atrocious. Somehow the team I did Citadel with managed to bear with my slowness, not to mention the stupidly long zoning times. Didn't have time to explain all this to my second team before I lost the connection, at which point I got fed up and couldn't be bothered trying to log back in. So apologies to the team Tarah joined, but the PC wasn't playing ball.
I used to steer clear of COV due to the lag problem. Hopefully COH won't go the same way... -
I just wanted to thank everyone for a great taskforce tonight. It was my first, and very enjoyable, despite the PC probs I was having. Cheers again, and feel free to call me up if you want me anytime
-
I would join you on the 7pm shift tonight, but I've already signed up for Citadel at 8. I'd be up for any taskforces on Tuesday evenings (from 5:30), Thursdays (from 9pm) or Saturday afternoons (usually 11am til 7pm) though. That's when I can almost guarantee having enough free time for a TF, but I may be able to fit one in at other times, depending on RL commitments. I'll keep an eye on the boards, but feel free to send a /tell if you see Tarah online.
-
I should be up for this with Tarah - will email you in-game this evening just to confirm.
-
Having not done any taskforces yet, I'd quite like to join you on one at some point. Sadly, I can't make the Moonfire TF, but hopefully I'll be available to bring Tarah along for at least one of the others you're planning to do. As it is, I don't really think you need another scrapper on Moonfire

of course scrappers are known as the nutters of the game and rightly so !!
so much fun to play and like people have said if your on at odd times you can solo effectivley
go enjoy and remember that the mob isnt "arrested " till the body stops twitching
[/ QUOTE ]
I like that! It's exactly the way I play. Tarah was the first alt I created when I got the game, and I spent many levels of newbieness faceplanting all over the Hollows. Thanks to a lot of patient team-mates, my gameplay has improved dramatically since then and she's now up to level 35, cutting her way nicely through whatever comes her way. I chose the Katana/Invulnerability combo and I think it works well overall, although those pesky CoT missions can be a nightmare due to the fire and ice damage. She can solo well, and hopefully she's a help to whatever team she ends up on.
Decoy Fodder's a martial arts scrapper, and that's fun too, kicking the stuffing out of Hellions all over Atlas!
Basically, I wanted a character which would allow me to charge in (exercising all due caution, of course) and deal out some damage, so the scrapper suits me down to the ground - although I do use the "RUN" option when necessary, to avoid Tarah ending up on the ground...
Just my thoughts -
Gratz Peak!
I actually work next to this guy, and it was him and Java that got me into the whole CoX universe in the first place. Loved every minute of it so far!
I'll hit 50 myself... eventually...
