  1. Okay, last questions I hope

For a level 50 Rad/Energy defender about to enter PvP (whom is going to respec!), what you would choose as must have, may like and dont need skills within the rad/energy choices.

The priority will be self sufficiency (so relying on strong attacks and and self enhancements more than team enhancements - sounds unfriendly i know lol!)

If it helps, power pools currently include concealment (stealth and invisibility), leaping, fitness, speed, and phsychic mastery.

Whiel I am posting, a few other questions incase anyone has an opinion/time to answer:
Is phase shift any good for PvP?
Is whirlwind any good in PvP?
Should I drop physchic mastery and choose something else, say medicine (to obtain "heal self" skill?
And the age old question, flight or jumping!?

    Any advice really appreciated

  3. Okay great, makes sense. What levels are toons exempted down to - i assume there is a list of zones and their levels?

Probably a dumb question, but what is an SO? (ive gone blank heh)

  4. Hi Guys/gals,

Just roughly, at what level can I PvP and potentially have some fun.

It worries me that everyone else be be level 45 - 50, and until that time it may not be worth pvP'ing as I would'nt stand a chance.

Is there a rough level when PvP starts to become interesting (I am not bothere about being great, I just want to have fun and have a #chance' of winning some battles!)?

I thought that I read that characters are 'balanced' during PvP, could anyone give me a very basic explantion as to how this works?

    Regards
  5. I have finally reached level 6 with my Fire/Traps character. The character will be involved in PvE, but at some point later heavily in to PvP.

At level 6 I had the opportunity to choose a third skill. I chose concealment, and selected stealth. My intention was to reach invisibility (for myself, not to grant on others) as i will be playing alone a lot adn i thought it woudl be useful for PvP (especially as I can lay traps and then hide hmmm). I think that invisibility is the third consealment power available.

Trouble is, I would also like to fly, and I see this useful and fun in my game playing.

Is it possible to have some of each skill, and if so how would I plan for it (i.e. would i pick a flight skill at the next opportunity, and can i skip "grant invisibility" awhich i do not want, and move directly to invisibility at a later stage, and then subsequently choose a 'low level' flight skill aswell?)

    Yes I am confused aswell!

Any tips woudl be really great, cheers guys
  6. Hello all, sorry for this noobie post.

Would dominators be effective and fun to play in PvP? I have read up a lot (obviously not enough!) but cannot decide on their PvP'ability.

The only stiplulation are that I would say is that I will probably concentrate on ranged, rather than melee attacks (yeah im a chicken). I will also play a lot by myself and so would need to be fairly self suporting adn fun to play the character on my own.

Mainly i wanted advice on the main primary and secondary skills to use (and avoid) for PvP

Any other on particularly useful (or unuseful) sub skills also appreciated,

REALLY apreciate any help at all

    Thanks
  7. Hi all, hope all is well!

New to the game, and I am breeding a corruptor for PvP.

Currently I am just at level 3, and have selected Fire and Traps as I thought this may be a fun skill set to play in PvP (the traps look intesting, adn fire potentially powerful.)

If anyone could offer some advice or most importably any upcoming pitfalls while i build my character, i would be most appreciative.

Mainly, I get opportunities to use and "build up" sub skills. But are there any that I should be concentrating in building and other sthat are not so important (in your opinon).

Also, if there are any "no turning back" decisions to be made at certain levels, anything to watch out for woudl be inetrestin to know (for example, do i select fling over speed running in your opinion)

I'm not being lazy - im reading everything on the net about the game, but a headstart would be useful if it may help me direct my time on the best skills for PvP.

    Regards

  8. I was interested in which (1) character type and/or (2) skill sets that you liked to play most in PvP.

Also why? i.e. maybe because they are fun, or because they kill more or die less that the average PvP player?

I know that everyone has their own preference, but I thought that this discussion may be interesting and also give me an idea which way to go as it is quite worrying starting a new character from scratch and not knowing (at all!) which way to go.

    Thanks guys-
