Nvm, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to play that often now. Good luck with it

    Your Blasters...

    Ice/Devices
Fire/Fire (Deleted. Yes, I hated it)
  3. Dark/Dark
    FF/Sonic
    Rad/Rad
  4. Just figured you want our trollers, not our opinions on which are rarest. Oh well...

    Ill/Kin
    Earth/Rad
    Grav/Storm (deleted)
    Fire/Rad
    Fire/Kin (deleted)
    Earth/Storm
  5. Most popular: Fire/Kin, Ill/Rad, Fire/Rad

    Least popular: Fire/Emp, Grav/Sonic, Mind/Sonic

I'm not considering Plant or Thermal cuz they're too recent (which makes them obviously popular).
  6. Oh well. Sometimes I hate IO's :P I still love SR anyway.
  7. Call me lazy, but I've never enjoyed playing around with Mid's trying to figure out which sets can max my toons performance. It's handy alright, but I can't spend over 10 mins doing it.

I have been quite inactive since I11 release and therefore I've never teamed with many high lvl WPs.. 'til last weekend.

I know WP offers a mix of defence and resistance and shitloads of regen when in certain situations. What I didn't knew is that you could nearly hit Defence cap with it. At least it's what this Claws/WP scrapper I've teamed with claims to have.

Sure, he had this crazy amount of IO bonuses but I never thought he could hit ~35% Def for both Melee and Ranged dmg.

My first thought was "that's bull". And I hope it is. I love my SR scrapper and I would hate seeing WP surpass or have as much Defence as I do, added to their insane regen and nice resists.

Summing up, all I want to know is how much defence can a WP scrapper have?

    Mace

Excellent. Thanks Eddy. Any skippable powers on Mace side? I'm thinking Clobber, Pulverize and maybe BU (even tho I always end up picking BU)
  9. False_Fiction

    Mace

Howdy.I think I've read something on US forums about mace no longer doing knockback, but only knockdown/up. Can any1 confirm this? I'm thinking of rolling a WP/Mace, but if there's any key power with knockback then I'll probably go with /SS or /Axe instead.

    Cheers.

    Offender?

Go Rad/Sonic. It's fun and good at just about anything. With some experience and a nice build you can even manage to solo some AVs
  11. Kin/Nrg is playable. Like any other combo in the game. My point is: it's not a synergetic combo. /Rad debuffs foe's defence, making it easier to hit crucial powers like Transfusion, Transference, Siphon Speed and FS. /Sonic resistance debuffs paired with kin's Dmg buffs, makes you a pseudo-blaster (with great survivability).

Anyway, if you're decided on taking that combo, I'd skip the following powers:

Kinetics: Repel, Increase Density, Inertial Reduction
Energy Blast: Power Blast, Sniper Blast, Power Push. (I like Aim for critical moments where I MUST hit the target or before nova).

Take stamina (it is skippable, but you'll feel better having it) and leadership (assault/man, tactics and vengeance). Hasten is handy, but skippable.

As for Epics, go Psi or Power Mastery.

I like the animation? >.> And i like knockback. And it helps when im going with my blaster friend he kills, i hold at bay ^_^. Should of gone controler i guess.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Keep in mind that powers like Transfusion (Heal) and Transference (Endurance) require the foe to be next to you. If you knock them away, you won't be healed/endboosted. Knockback is not Kinetics friendly. Energy does look cool, alright. But then again, so does Rad.
  13. Unless you're dead set on taking /energy, you might want to consider changing it for something else. /Nrg knockback doesn't go well with Kinetics.

/rad and /sonic are my suggestions.

    Ice/What

I see theres no love for /Ice. Still, I might give it a go. I won't go /mental cuz in a few weeks there will be sheeeetloads of'em all around and I hate being that common.

    Ice/What

After over 24 months of CoX I'm giving Blasters a go. First with Arch/Fire (good fun and rare combo) and now Ice blast. I'm trying to figure which secondary to go with: /Ice (slow cap sounds good), /Nrg or /Elec. I'm leaning towards /Ice for thematic purposes but I don't see myself picking many powers from it (only chillbain, BU, Ice Patch and Shiver). /Nrg should be better if I ever want to do some PvP and /Elec gives a mix of control and extra damage.

    What says you?
  16. Happy b-day Cynic

Sorry for the off topic. Proceed!
  17. Earth goes well with anything. Got 99 levels of it and I might go for an Earth/Thermal some day.

any reason why you want dark over rad?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Terror, hold, Cage, Sexy pet, stealth with good res numbers, -50% Dmg toggle, decent heal... It gotta be good for something. Rad might be better for 1on1 matches, but I think Dark might be useful for other variations like team arena.

I find it a myth saying Dark/ can't be good for PvP (especially considering Psy blasters are coming).
  19. False_Fiction

    Dear archers,

Nice then. I was thinking of getting SS n' Stealth (for invisibility) so I can walk into the mob, pop Aim+BU, drop RoA and try to FSC right before I get the aggro. Should be tricky and it certainly will get me a lot of debt before I get it right, but if it works it will be great fun.
  20. False_Fiction

    Dear archers,

I know Psy Blasters are coming and all but I'm sticking with my lowbie Archery/Fire Blaster. My simple question is: Does RoA aggros right after I select the location where I want to drop it, or only when it hits the mob?

    Thanks in advance
  21. If those are the only options, I'd go with the nuke just for fun.
  22. There be no burn/fear issue with Dark Mastery (TT ftw). I think Burn is totally skipable for a Spines/Fire. The AoE damage is just too good already. For a Claws/Fire/Dark it's a whole different story. Excellent ST damage and pretty good AoE with TT+Burn.
