Thanks for the reassurance everyone. Money's rather tight for me/most presently, so it's good to know.

That's... less than comforting, _Rave_. I just made a third attempt, same error message. If £18 vanishes, then a very unhappy and slightly irate customer I shall likely be.
-
Just tried with PayPal, 'An error occurred during PayPal payment.' I have enough funds for the purchase, but two attempts later and no dice.

Lives in everyone's shirt pocket.

'Go and speak with Seer Marino' -> 'drop mission'

Thanks Coolio. When it happened I almost panicked, given that I was in a SG which had its base vanish to default several times a while ago. At point of crash, I'd been editing for the best part of six hours. Lot of work (sitting on my backside) to lose had it gone poof.

Reducing player-created-content XP/Inf rewards to two-thirds or three-quarters of standard mission rewards would go a long way to redressing the one-hour fifty culture which has stamped out the whole point of levelling your chars: Learning to play them effectively. I hear a lot of complaints from my friends, all of them being competant, experienced players of their ATs and powersets about how [insert player here] is incompetant. And all since Mission Architect.
Powerlevelling is bad for the new players as they spend no time at all hitting fifty, don't know how their chars function, don't know where anything outside Atlas/Mercy is nor the other details one learns through exploring the game world.
Ask yourselves, you pro-powerlevellers; would you enjoy playing through one of the high-end TFs/SFs with a Tanker who doesn't know when to Taunt, or didn't even take the power? With a Corruptor who didn't get a single debuff? An Empath who never heals anyone?
Farming forces prices too high for anyone but farmers to afford. Some of us would rather not feel forced to farm just to pay ridiculous prices of pretend-money for something which gives a few extra % to a build.
Rant over, and back onto original topic: No. Nobody but nobody wants to feel forced into doing anything. MA is broken, but still optional. If people lack the willpower or hells even the raw curiosity to explore the rest of the game, fine, let them choose not to. I have no respect for powerlevellers or farmers, but I support their right to choose to do something which I find entirely dull. -
Hide and seek's a lot of fun in Perez, lots of places to hide there. I once had great fun in Pocket D playing 'Inspiration-tag'. Happy days.

Because Talsorian weapons' blades are monomolecular (one molecule thick). It's impossible to bludgeon someone with a sheet of tinfoil, but it's possible to cut them with the edge.

Never had this kind of crash happen to me before:
'Assertion failed
Program: ...City of Heroes\City of Heroes\CityOfHeroes.exe
Time: Mon Jul 06 06:36:31 PM
Process ID: 636
File: c:\src\utilitieslib\utils\superassert.c
Line: 1857
Expression: 0
Error Message: CRT abort() called
ERROR: swDumpStackToBuffer - timeout (258) waiting for dumpHeap is NOT corrupted
Last windows SYSTEM error: Not enough storage is available to process this command.'
Does anyone have any clarification they can offer? -
I like this idea. Why not make it cost one reward merit plus a small payment of inf, say 500 - 1,000?
-
In addition to the above, bring back the skull-headed wooden club! It was excellent!
-
Pretty much. I blame the hour of posting for my lack of clarity. Simply put, remove the need to click accept for placing each set of slots. One just places slots until one has used all those available, after which one has a single click of accept to move onto placing enhancements.
-
As it stands, respeccing is a clunky process of picking a power, clicking accept, picking another and so forth until hitting the slotting stage, which is two/three/six slots at a time with yet another click to accept.
What I wish to suggest is the accept-click on each stage of slotting powers be removed. Instead, you have your remaining slots held in a 'pool', which you can spam with wild abandon wherever one wished, with a click on the same slot to remove and relocate it. Gone would be the need to accept every single faltering stage of the slotting process during the respec.

The clue's in the title, really. It's an emergency fix so the French and German players can get access to their characters.
Just imagine how thankful the Union and Defiant players would be for such a fix, and how vocal they'd be about the glitch in the first place. My heart goes out to them it really does. -
Grand stuff. Can't wait to get back into the bottleneck and blend my Brute through ranks of handily-contained-by-cave-junction Vth Column troops.
-
True. It'd be realy nice if they'd hire some with more sympathy towards us roleplayers when we're griefed but hey, ideal world, no?
-
Hmn, that's not so bad. As long as it's not taken to steroid extreme then more customisation is a good thing.
-
Patience young Alphadawan, the GMs probably got a lot of support tickets yesterday.
-
After a little search-engine fu, (not safe for work) are you sure you want muscular female body types? Are you absolutely sure?
-
Confirmed, access granted to Union and Defiant.

;evillaugh$$l Muhhuhahahahaha!
I have two other charnames I'm proud of. Song: Peacebringer. Orrery: Warshade. Both not played at all due them being bluesiders, which I've grown tired of these days. There are yet others, but not used enough or interesting enough.
