I have only seen one AR/fire blaster.
I never seen a AR/TA blaster yet although heard a few exist.
I havent seen many ice control/TA controllers. -
out of those two, I would go vigor since the other stuff is already capped anyways. Plus can never have too much regen. It helps get that hp back full for those times you get hit.

Disclaimer: This post is long, if a person dont have time to read it, that is fine, come back later when you do have the time and it's ok if you dont read the post at all because you don't have the time. Yes, there may or may not be spelling and grammar mistakes, just like any other thread on this forum. I know that, no point in pointing them out. The format of this post is single spaced sentences with an extra space between paragraphs. I'm not a mind reader and dont know everyone's format preference but if it the point is not clear, just ask in a respectful manner or dont worry about it. If this format is not for you, this may be a good time to stop reading as the rest will be a waste of your time and at this point is not responsible if you choose to continue and waste your time. There are not many questions in this post; this is not a post about help. Help is really not needed here but if you insist on offering it and it is turned down, dont get rude. Once again, I am not responsible if you decide to not heed this and feel like you wasted your time trying to be "helpful" anyways. I'm not trying to be rude for turning down your help, but really, none is needed here. Criticism, negative criticism, or "constructive criticism" that isnt actually constructive, is not needed here. Apparently I have a hard time distinguishing between people trying to be "helpful" and people who are not here as some "helpful" people have ways of showing it that I find odd. So lets do each other favor and just let it be. Just post your version about how you would play and keep to the topic. Lastly, this is my experience and my view, if your view is different, that is cool too, do tell, but please be respectful. The point of all this is so people now knows what they are getting into. If this is fine, continue reading. If not, it would be best to move on to another thread. Of course this is free country and you are free to do what you want, just keep in mind, so am I and that alone is enough reason for this post. Not trying to be rude at all, just letting people know exactly what they are getting into. For those that dont know or dont see the point of this introduction, this is to prevent any problems from past threads to carrying over to here and to keep things strictly on the subject at hand. If all of this is ok, read on and have fun. If you have anything to add about your experience with AT, by all means share. This is my AT build that fit my play style which may or may not be fitting for everyone else's play style thus I'm making not and guarantee, assumptions, vouching, or suggesting that my way is the way to build the AT nor am I insinuating, suggesting, or trying to prove that my opinions are fact. They are just my opinion and if your opinion differs, that is good too. Please share your version here but try to be respectful of my opinion and others as you would want them to respect yours.
This disclaimer is not to cause problems, flame, troll, and excite a riot or anything. It is to just clarify things so things will not be misconstrued, misinterpreted, misquoted, or wasting anyone time because they didnt know what they was getting into. That is all, nothing more nothing less, no disrespect intended, just trying to prevent repeat negative actions on threads from happening.
Remember words on the screen are words on the screen. There are no physical social queues, tone of voice, nor other things that can be picked up in face to face contact. While it is best to not direct anything personal at me, or probably anyone else for that matter, keep in mind how the words can be interpreted by just reading. Let's not make a big deal out of nothing, again. Remember everyone is not the same nor will perceive messages and words on the screen the exact same way as you may have intended them to come out in your head. Reason for this disclaimer is to prevent the same things that have been happening in the past from re-occurring and that is all. Remember, as mentioned before, this is not to be rude at all.
I just dont want anyone feel like their time is being wasted, or feel they was blindly lead into a long post, or got the wrong assumption. On the same token, I'm not responsible for your time you feel you wasted, or offer help and feel dejected for it being turned down as I'm politely turning it down and all "help", "constructive criticism", "suggestions" right now. "Thank you for your concern and trying to help but I have the build and any other build the way I have found that I have the most fun with playing in the manner that I find the most enjoyable for my experience." Any help on a personal basis is turned down also in a polite manner also- "Thanks for your concern and trying to help but I think your help would be more helpful on someone else who is probably itching for that type for information you have available to share. Thanks for understanding." If you choose to not heed this information, then all I have to go by is what you write and what I perceive, which may be right or may be wrong but I'm leaving nothing to chance this time. If I missed something, it will be added to the next thread.
: End Disclaimer
I played blasters in the beginning and then melee and got hooked on tanks/brutes. Then one day decided to roll a Dominator. 1-50, easy stuff solo. Since it was the first of my earth/fire doms and one of the only other non-melee and only other toon to even touch IOs, this is one of a kind in the stable.
As far as powers go, I picked up all powers of the primary besides stone prison and all of the secondary even though salt crystals and combustion wasnt used or even assigned to the tray. They was picked during those times nothing else I wanted was available and or used as a mule for a few IOs. This toon was built before players could switch sides and before fitness was inherent and have not been respeced up this point due to the semi-retirement of it and only come out of retirement to try out the alpha content on a non-melee toon and then back on the shelf thus far since the third day incarnate stuff went live.
Primary-
Fossilize was the first power I picked up and eventually slotted it SOs and 5 slots. 2 Accuracy Enhancements and Three Holds.
This probably was the power I most commonly used. The hold lasted a long time and easy to stack with the current 5.52 sec recharge.
Stone cages- Used sometimes, if ever but only 2 Acc SOs
Quicksand- It was used fairly often. Two Slow Enhancing SOs and called it a day.
Stalagmites-Fun stuff, good stun, fairly good recharge so it got six slots. 2 Accs SOs thee recharge SOs, and 1 Stun duration SO. This leaves a bunch of the mob stunned for up to 20 secs without domination, which is enough time to dispatch them.
Earthquake-Fun stuff to watch do its stuff. Six slot with Kinetic Crash IOs. It increased the knockback effects plus I got some extra regen, kb protection, and recharge. Probably some other stuff I hardly noticed.
Thermal Vents-Another good power. It's good off the bat for me so I only 4 slotted it with one Acc, two recharges, and one hold duration, all SOs.
Animated Stone-Another good power. It's like having a built in tanker without bothering with teams. So I popped in 5 Expedient Reinforcements and called it a day. Never had problem with him before IOs and never had problem with him afterwards. This is a very useful pet.
Salt Crystals-A "meh" power to me for solo so I let it stay off the trays with 5 slots for Call of the Sandman. I had the whole set drop in the 40s and couldnt sell them for even 1 inf so I decided to use them and delete one. This made two things that I didnt care for somewhat useful.
Secondary-
Flares-One Acc one damage SOs. Not used much but good in a pinch when somehow recharged was much slowed and didnt have a choice in skipping this one.
Incinerate-Good stuff, three slots 1 acc and two damage SOs
Fire Blast- 4 slots 2 accs two damage SOs.
Embrace of fire- 3 recharge SOs
Combustion- Another power that didnt have must usefulness for me but became somewhat useful for two Siroccos Dervishes I had laying around for 10% regeneration.
Consume-Wasnt used often but when it was needed, glad it was there. Three slots two end modifications and one acc SO.
Fire breath-One of my favorite fire powers for this one. 5 slots two accs three damage.
Blazing bolt- Had three devastations hanging around, just wanted one more but accidently bought two, thus five slotted with it.
Blaze-Also good power. 1 acc. three damage, 1 recharge all SOs.
Of course there was the standard three recharge slotted hasten and Stamina with Health full of IOs of the Num. and miracle type.
Patron powers-
Charged armor-5 slotted 2 end reductions and 3 resistance.
Surge of Power-Gremlin mode. Just three resistance. Rarely used but fun stuff.
Mu Guardian-For those few times that the living stone pocket tank needed someone to drain some endurance from the mobs. Three recharges.
Alpha-Spiritual Core Revamp-for the recharge and stun duration as a side effect.
Judgment- Fire of course.
This was one of the easiest to make survive non-melee toon I played thus far. Pre 32-drop down earthquake and or quicksand, fossilize one and then destroy them with whatever power I choose. After 32 air drop the pocket tank rock soldier into the middle of the mob, stalagmites, quicksand and or earthquake and then go to town. If boss is involved might pop domination might not, but if domination is used, a fossilize worked and let the rock go to work. If not, volcanic gases fossilize and kill the boss one by one while the rock keeps the rest busy or the mob is too busy running in slow motion while falling down and or stunned from stalagmites. So many different tactics work with this toon it was never a boring monotonous day. But alas, her storyline ended and after coming out of retirement for the DA arcs, murking them and going back to retirement, there was no purpose for her until the next big thing comes along. -

Not interested in farming, but a fire/tw brute, would be an interesting journey it seems. It looks like a build that seems more of an offensive attack set and even more of a beast in damage. I'm going to go try it out.

Quote:I never said the disclaimer was short. What I trying to say is that the "disclaimer says in short...". AKA, in that post a brief description of what the disclaimer covers.I saw your disclaimer in this thread, it's anything but short. If you put half the effort into proofreading your posts as you put into making that disclaimer, the disclaimer wouldn't be necessary.

Quote:Redraw never bothered me at all nor messed with my momentum mechanic in a noticeable manner that I detected for me. If it is an issue that people look into, then redraw can be a setback. How did you find the redraw issue on a Fire/TW Tanker? With Healing Flames, Consume, Fiery Embrace, and Burn, I would think that you'd be constantly switching back and forth between primary and secondary abilities. I would think that this would really mess with the momentum mechanic.
-
Quote:That is fine. I can extend the post a bit next time to make sure it's longer than the disclaimer.I for one refuse to read your threads with disclaimers on them. The dang thing is longer than the post itself in some cases.
I only look to see if any interesting responses exist in the thread. I mean, at least for those, I don't need to spend a full minute scrolling. (Yes, that is exaggeration.)
Hey, you have any experience with Fiery Aura/Titan Weapon tanks? -
-
Quote:1)Turned off hover when I needed to use burn.Pretty much all of your experience seems similar to mine with both TW and Fire. There are just a few things I want to ask:
1) Hover. I'm under the impression that you can't use Burn while flying. Is this true, and if it is, do you detoggle Hover when you want to use Burn or do you just skip using it altogether?
2) How did you find Build Momentum? I thought it always messed up how Momentum worked and in the end just screwed with my attack chains so I dropped it.
3) How do you deal with ranged enemies without taunt? Did you pick a ranged attack from an APP or do you just run over to them and hit the in the face?
P.S. I think you could drop the disclaimer here. It is about as long as the part of the post that is actually about these sets, and it distracts people from the actual topic.
2) I liked build momentum and always take it. I fidn it good for me to use when I didnt want to wait for the intial slow animation.
3) Just ran over to them and hit them in the face.
The disclaimer is not leaving yet. I think it makes things that need to be clear very clear so there is no more misunderstandings or less of them. -
Quote:Team work is a skill in this game I think. In a totally unrelated thread, someone brought up a point I thought was intriguing related to just how one measures "skill" in a video game, and what types of features should be involved. For example, is it skill that makes someone better at a game with twitchy/reflex-related gameplay and if so, how important of a factor is that? What about general game knowledge and then figuring out ways to leverage that uniquely? Is it doing things no one else can do? Is it min/maxing?
How do you define what makes a player "skilled" at playing City of Heroes? Further, do you think it is easier to spot someone playing well or poorly, and how can you tell the difference between doing something good accidentally from doing it purposefully?
Lastly, is skill important? Necessary? Does it even exist as a factor in this game at all?
I know this post amounts to nothing more than a bunch of questions, but I am legitimately curious about differing viewpoints on this.
Now every so often there will be on overzealous and or new player that may not use the proper power at the proper time, like phasing an enemy everytime that power is recharged. Annoying a bit, yes, as it can prolong the fight but not so much a kickable offense or one that is of a worry. Sometimes instead of telling them "they are doing it wrong", it's best to try to suggest a better opportunity to use their powers. Or with kb or immob, maybe explain to them that immob nullify the effects of ice patch or it wouldnt be wise to scatter the mob all over the place and sometimes even go as deep as to explaining why. But me I dont care as long as the mission is getting done, no one is dying much, and players are not doing extra crazy that actually risks the failure of the objective, then I dont care how they play. Some people are not so patient and will kick a player if they mess up once without time to send a tell and a reply, aka the player was kicked before the mob even started to get up. Some will take it a few times before kicking, hopefully at least explained what they was doing that was not helping the team. Kicking with no feedback probably will result in nothing learned besides that they got kicked from a team for using their "awesome" knockback. -
Quote:I would like this. Or maybe a little bit exited on a level of a squirrel high off speed stuck in a church on Sunday if they made this weapon for titan weapon set or even staff. I have a good concept for this weapon that would fit like a glove.I was just thinking "Halloween is almost here, wouldn't it be nice if we had a scythe weapon." Then I thought about which power-set would it work for. I came up with two, the titanic weapon and poll-arm weapon sets.
To top this off, this new holiday weapon would be a rather great way to draw more people to buy the power set too, for those who were feeling festive.
This is too good of an opertinuty to miss, marketing wise.
So I predict that we will have a scythe weapon this October! -
Quote:Well with the mids thing it could of been short and sweer like "Hey try mids." "Na, I dont like it for what ever reason." "Ok then good night."Evil_Legacy,
Ive been browsing the forums for a couple of hours now (cant sleep and bored) and I have to see Ive seen your name ALOT, on all kinds of different threads and the one thing that struck me is ...
In almost every single one your being aggressive/argumentative/defensive etc
Its actually a little silly, you can tell this because I've taken the time to stop and comment about it.
The little fiasco from earlier in this thread about distrusting Mids, was frankly so ridiculous I currently suspect that you are a troll.
Giving you the benefit of the doubt, and some friendly advice. Try to chill a little man, at the end of the day its only a game and who cares if others dont share your opinion on a particular topic? If your happy with it the roll with it.
-Again this post is kinda ... odd to say the least but Ive seen your name in so many 'arguments/disagreements' in the last hour or so I just felt like commenting on it-
Now to try and sleep.
Peace. zzzzz
Nope, it went to tryign to forcing down my gullet. Actually out my threads, you must clicked only on the ones that have lot of comments or just the problem ones. There are plenty where things go well. Three within the past couple of days, and about half dozen more prior to that and tanks vs brutes went well also. And some more prior to that. You must of only read only a few or the more populated one. I get aggressive is I'm being attacked, disrespected or when some bloke try to force some program upon me after I said no. It dont matter what my reason is, but if I say I dont like it feel like it, or hell, maybe I havea grudge against mids, but the point is NO means NO and unfortunately some people dont get that and thus yea, get rude with me, I'm sure as hell going to be rude back. Like I mentioned in other threads, I'm not just going to let peole be rude to me and then thank them for it as they wouldnt do it I came to their thread and was rude to them.
Either way, the newer posts now have disclaimer on it and most threads dont need any kind of "help", program tips or none of that nonsense so I guess this is dead and problem solved now. I guess in early threads I was very unclear of what kind of help I was lookign for thus I got anything out the woodwork, so that was my fault. Now on my new threads it is clear as day and anyone that even tries in any manner tries to pull that "help" crap is clearly just trying to troll as it is clear exacty what I'm looking for and not looking for. Especially with that herostat thing and any other shady looking programs out there. It could of ended very simple and easily if some people would have learned to take a simple no for a freaking answer. I dont try to force programs no matter how awesome I think it is, upon others and all I asked is that it is not forced upon me. -
Quote:Ah. interesting.By the way, per the Forum Guidelines:
"Trolling is defined as deliberately posting derogatory or inflammatory comments/threads in order to provoke other users into negatively responding. Trolling or accusing someone of being a troll is also a form of trolling and is not permitted."
Just sayin'....
Yet, you seemed to conviently missed when I was called a troll in this very thread and did not respond to that person.
Just what I was talking about. People quick to point out flaws of mine and bring up rules but look other way when someone does the exact same.
Oh right, I forgot the rules only apply to me, not anyone else. Thanks for pointing that out.

Quote:I just looked at Evil_Legacy's post history and she's surprisingly coherent and well-spoken in every thread but this one. Troll detected.
But I guess somehow his/her post is just a minor thing not worth pointing out but mine is the most grieveous crime up there with murdering 300 people by a slow death using torture devices and sending their pieces to their family members by mail with a note taunting how they screamed and begged for mercy as I gouged out their eyes after showing them pieces of themselves. -
Well at least it seems more populated than Victory. A little bit easier to find teams on triumph even durign the day than victory on their best days. And the people are as just as friendly but more of them on triumph.

I like it better than the CoT redesign, but some the hairstyles/clothes look a bit silly. The new masks are ok and glad to see some other gender in there. Although, silly hair and all, I'm glad they are finally giving the skulls some love. -

This is with Single Origin Enhancements only although the IO for kb is mentioned but I use other methods
My fiery aura is a resistant based set that I play with a more offensive strategy than other armors. Most critters in the game are not very fire resistant if at all and take a good amount of damage from blazing aura and burn without even using a power from the secondary.
There is a knockback knockdown hole and an immob hole. The immob hole is one that I barely notice during gameplay but in later levels, the fiery aura tank do find itself being bounced like a basketball at times. There is an IO for this and acrobatics also fills this hole. In the case of taking acrobatics, combat jump fills the immob hole too although I rarely use combat jump. On one set that I took fly on, a little spin in the air didn’t bother me so I skipped any of the other kb/kd resist/protection powers.
My fiery aura is specialized in fire resistance of course but also have good resistance to smash/lethal especially with tough and some and enough for me resistance to cold, energy and negative energy.
Titan Weapons when coupled with fiery aura is not much of an endurance issue but I slotted one end reduction in each power to make it even less of an issue, especially when fighting freaks and their Super Stunners. It not much of endurance hog as any other set that I played when coupled with fiery aura and slotted with one endurance reduction per attack.
Blazing aura is the largest of the endurance using toggles in the set. Usually I put two endurance reductions in this power for good measure and don’t bother taking and or using it until after its slotted and after consume.
Consume and Healing Flames- Two powers I never skip. Healing flames is up in relatively short order in less than thirty seconds. I slot with recharge and heal and not for the resistance. Not many hard hitting toxic damage mobs to come across and that slot I use for heal and recharge.
Consume is good when battling mobs with end drain especially freaks and or Malta. Low on end or they sap the endurance, hit consume and it's good as new. It's up at about every two minutes or so, which is enough for me for to be there when I need it.
Titan Weapon- Powerful set, good cone attacks and an aoe. Arc of destruction is awesome when slotted. There is no power I skip from this set besides taunt as I just couldn’t fit it in for my purposes between the primary powers and the other more useful for my purposes, Keywords-MY PURPOSES, of the secondary powers.
Fiery Aura/TW shines when there is a large amount of mob available to defeat as it dispatches them in short order. In cases where mobs are scarce, some of the powers seemed wasted.
I found this combo to be a fun set to play and good for teaming and solo with a good damage aura, endurance control, and resistance. It's a good break from the WP and electric armor stable although my fiery armor feels like a sort of alternative electric armor. Instead of specializing in energy resistance, it specializes in fire resistance. Electric armor has quicker recharging endurance recovery but a slower recharging heal. The tactics is nearly the same but the fiery aura tank tends to defeat mobs more swiftly than my electric armor but both are equally good for me. -
Quote:Yep that's why every thread after this one contins a disclaimer to clearify that and more. At the same time it's bad call to assume that they are the intended audience.Posting it on a public forum available to people outside your intended audience was a bad call then. You can't blame it on anyone, because you made your text available to people that weren't included in the "intended audience".
Quote:In my opinion, people were more than polite when they asked you to clarify, until you pretty much slapped them across the face and told them to deal with what they were given. How could they have been any more polite?
Quote:I don't see the relevance. If I posted something in French, there would likely be people that could understand me, but pointing that out does not help the part of the audience that doesn't speak French. I haven't read every text that was ever published, but usually it is a convention that the author and not the audience, who translates the author's thoughts into a coherent text. -
Quote:Never said you in particular was making a big deal about it and no I'm not intentionally misunderstanding you.I never made a big deal about it. I'm just wondering why you are making such a big deal about people asking you to clarify your post. Even I make mistakes, but I can admit that and do my best to fix it if people point them out to me.
I'm no longer sure if you're intentionally misunderstanding me or not.
Let me make this really blunt: your post was really hard to read while the other posts you pointed out weren't. They might all have contained mistakes, but for some reason your post was much harder to read.
And if the post was that much harder to read then maybe they was not the audience I was targeting at all then. Then maybe my post was readable and maybe the post was formatted for the audience but just not them just like maybe a Chinese speaker that may not understand English may not get what we are talking about here at all but that doesnt mean that it's unreadable because they cannot understand it.
Point being, if it's that hard to read there is better ways to put it than the way that most people put it. The few that have corrected other posts, I've seen them put it in much nicer ways. Yet, they come here with attitude that I'm here to cater to them and yet they have no obligation to show any bit of the slightest respect but I'm suppose to show them the utmost. I dont think it is suppose to work like that and I do not work like that.
In the end either point out the mistakes but do it evenly and fairly or not at all. If people single me out like I'm the sole person on the entire forum that make mistakes, then of course I'm going to have a problem with it, especially if they make and or made mistakes too.
There are other posts about electric armor and willpower and if this post was not suited for their level of reading then they could have silently just moved on to one that is formatted for their taste instead of making a big deal about it. But they did not do that and instead made a big deal about it and I in turn made a big deal about them making a big deal about it, being hypocritical in their accessment, and tryign to enforce a standard on me that that is not enforced elsewhere renderign their standard moot, especially when most of them dont even follow their own standard that they are trying to press on me. -
Quote:As mentioned before, maybe my text is formatted for my intended audience and the ones that cant read it maybe they wasnt included into that group?Easiest set of rules is something I'd call the obligation to the audience. Simply put: the author is responsible of formatting his or her thoughts into a text that the audience can easily understand.
Quote:Which one is more likely when a dozen people tell they are having a hard time understanding you, a conspiracy against you or the fact that maybe your posts genuinely are difficult to read?

And there was others, judging by their response although seemingly overlooked by others, that seemed to be able to read it and reply based on the subject. Funny no one once mentioned them and it was was more than one person. -
[QUOTE=DSorrow;4358870]You missed the point of what I said, sorry if I wasn't clear. What I wanted to say was that you don't need to have your text 100% correct by an arbitrarily chosen ruleset (there are as many rulesets as there are communities using the language), but it needs to be readable. If your audience says they are having a hard time connecting with your text, you need to do something about that.
Quote:True and if you did type in those languages and I couldnt understand it, I wouldnt make a big deal about it. I would assume that the message was not for me. AKA, I was not the intended audience instead of saying that you must change your post to my standard so I can read it.There is a reason words are spelled the way they are, and that is so that other people could also understand them. To really make this gap between the author and the audience apparent to you: would you understand me if I started posting in Finnish, Swedish or French? Basically just switching to a different ruleset of language. Nope, and that is why I'm taking the effort to try to make myself clear in English.
Quote:Yes, but the magnitude of the error could make all the difference in the world. Let me really blow this out of proportion so as not to leave anything unclear: I misspell a word / a pilot crashes a full passenger plane into a mountain. There might just be difference in magnitude between those two errors, am I right? -
Quote:Actually most that I pointed out actually did hinder my ability to read them. It's not double standards, it really is pretty much this order of magnitude: you claim 1+1 equals 100, person X claims 1+1 equals 2.00000001. To most people, your error is huge while person X's error is meaningless. Sure, you can point out that person X made the same number of errors (one in this example), but their error doesn't have much of an impact in any outcome compared to yours.
Sorry to be so blunt about this.
EDIT: I'd like you to think about the following: do the errors in the posts of other people jump at you and actually hinder your ability to read it, or are you intentionally looking for them? The difference between those two is huge.
And how is my errors making such an impact on anything? Sounds like my errors is being blown way ut of proportion while others are being downsized. An error is an error. It either exist or it dont. And when different errors do exist there should be a set written down rules for this and this threshold and not made up on the fly as it iseems to be now. If such set of written down rules for this forum exists, please kindly point me to that thread as I missed it upon entering.
To me, that post and many like it was not hard to read. So by who standard are we talking about? And who standard should we use? Apparently there should be one if these rules are to be followed.
But your question in your edit section is the same one I'm asking about my post. Are people just intentionally looking or is it actually hindering their ability? As especially in regards to standards, and which one to follow, it was easy to read for me.
and my errors was sure as hell not 1+1=100 compared to their errors being just 2.00000001. That is just a prime example of blowing up my errors and downsizing others. On any math problem test, the end result would be the same. Both are wrong either way. And the person that get it wrong is a little hypocrite in their behavior if they turn to the person that even guess that 1+1 equals one hundred and say "Hey, you are dumb! You got it wrong!" and make a big deal about it when they got it wrong also, regardless of how much or less, it's either wrong or it's right.
Either there is a standard or there is none. So by the logic you presented, either I'm wrong as hell with my formatting and thus there should be a mass correction of the many threads that also have errors or people make mistakes no big deal. Not I made mistake and it's big deal and other people make same type of mistake and it's no big deal. That is text book double standard. -
Quote:My exact point so why is my mistakes such a big deal then? Why point them out but not others? I mean hell, since it's a buisness in strict grammatical correctness and no mispellings and proper format, then it is either to the English standard or not. If it is no point in invoking the professor's rule set, then there was no point at all even in mentioning my grammar/mispellings/format. Either go by the rules or not. Not invoke them just to invoke them on a select few and expect them to follow the rules to the strict sense while turning the other way when other's flaunt them same rules
Second: Just because someone else claims 1+1 equals 3, it doesn't make your claim of 1+1 equalling 123 one bit less wrong.
EDIT: On single spacing, double spacing and indentations: single spacing within paragraphs and double spacing between them is interchangeable with single or double spacing it all and using indentations between paragraphs, AFAIK. The formatting and presentation on these forums just make it much more clear if you just double space between paragraphs. I seriously doubt any* post on these forums is a term paper for a professor, so I don't see any sense in invoking a professor's ruleset here.
.
And yea I get ya Second point but it doesnt mean they are right and always right thereafter. -
From the looks of it it wont never end regardless and it's not about the last word either.
And no there was no reaction, no emotions, none of that, just mere observation of how says this about standards and stuff but turn around and dont write exactly to those standards they try to force on others.
In writing terms, what I said still stands.
Look, if proper writing grammar is going to be pressed on others than they too at least write in the proper manner by the book themselves. If formatting it the issue then they to should write in proper English writing formatting which singel space for paragraphs and double between in one document is not proper English formatting. Easier to read, yes, maybe, but not proper. Now decision needs to be made on is this about ease of read or formatting? Is it about improper grammar and improper formatting or just my improper grammar and formatting? Thus far, it's coming off as just about my grammar and formatting and I'm sure as mentioned earlier if you go into a store and they charge everyone one price and then when it's your turn they charge you higher price you wouldnt not be happy camper and probably would wonder why. Exact same concept here.
Why is my improper grammar and or formatting or anything else they can find is such a big deal yet, hundreds of mistakes in many other posts are ignored? And when I do point it out, it's rude and frowned upon but yet, it's ok for it to be done to me? There is obvious double standard here and the expectation of me just to shirk off to a corner without inquiring why is a mistaken assumption especially when I can bet here if they was in my shoes would have major issues with it, as it was displayed when I did point out their mistakes.
But I dont think another thread will happen like this again, at least, not by accident as now every thread I make has a disclaimer that in short points out exactly my mindset, what I'm looking for, what I know, and what I'm not looking for. The new threads as they are created will continue to have one for now. This is a way to decrease and or nullify any mistakes of intentions.
