Not even just updates, but fixes?
I'm revamping original arcs to try out the new and "improved" features of MA but finding most of them to not be improved at all... in fact some are worse.
Escorts are buggy, betrayals work only half the time, destructible objects don't always work right, some speech is never displayed, etc. I went back to improve arcs and am now having to fix arcs that originally worked! And how can we attempt to be creative with what we have when what he have doesn't work right to begin with?
I hate to whine about MA but I feel like it has become sort of a joke in CoH largely because giant holes were exploited and devs spent so much time filling those holes that they haven't actually worked on things that could make MA more enjoyable from story standpoint. Even just a list of some upcoming ideas would be nice, or some proposed fixes coming in future updates. I'm not expecting an entire issue to be dedicated to MA anymore, but would love to at least know there are plans...

I searched for this topic and couldn't find anything but wasn't exactly sure what to search for so hopefully this isn't a dupe.
But I was wondering - are there plans to bring the new character interaction tools into mission architect? I'm talking about how in many new missions in CoX you click on a character and hold a "dialogue" with them, and then they can either become an ally, betray you, etc.
There is no easy -- or even hard -- way to duplicate this with any satisfaction in MA. Are there plans to add this feature soon or sometime down the road. It would be neat to allow us to have the same story-telling mechanic that so many of the new CoX stories have, and would allow players to have more freedom in making unique missions!
Thanks,

Wow, can't believe I didn't think of that...that might work quite well!
Thanks! -
So quick question, sorry if it's been asked already...
I want to make a mission that is a battlezone and that has a bunch of dead heroes laying around, and I'm wondering if there is any way to do this.
I've made the heroes as an "Ally" and as a "Captive", trying to make the animation "Unconscious" for all states, and making them "Do Nothing" when rescued...but in all instances, after 3 seconds of "being rescued" they stand right up and just stand there.
Is there no way to make it so that they stay laying down? I think this would be a neat feature to have, and the limitation is annoying me!
Thanks,

King's Row, Paragon City
Tonight I battled the Skulls and the Circle of Thorns in the battlezone of Paragon City once known as Perez Park. With the help of fellow heroes, I was able to take out enough Skulls to calm the Superadine rush that seemed to be sweeping through the park and overflowing the surrounding city hospitals. I, however, was not able to draw a connection between the Skulls and any benefactor; their supplier, regretably, still remains a mystery. My original hypothesis that the Vahzilok could be their benefactor has now been dismissed. I have noticed during my patrols that the Skulls take every effort to clean their turf of the Vahzilok in King's Row. The Skulls do not worry with the Circle of Thorns or The Lost, though. Could the Circle of Thorns be the mysterious supplier, with their human experiments and cult magic? Or what of the mysterious Lost, who seem to infest King's Row and Perez Park quite often?
My search will continue...
Furthermore, I have begun to switch tasks and focus some efforts on the Skulls' enemy, the Hellions. Through my latest adventures I have been able to uncover stolen artifacts from the Hellions and clean the street of some of them, unsuccessful in attaining any knowledge of their current status or plotting. They, too, seem to have a benefactor, as they would have no purpose for their stolen artifacts. As often as I have found the Hellions in the sewer system, could they be in deals with the Vahzilok, or the Lost, who inhabit the sewers regularly? Could a greater war than the turf battles on the street be brewing between the two sides' benefactors? The Thorns against the Vahzilok? The Vahzilok versus the Lost?
Time will tell...
The Circle of Thorns has also proven to be very interesting to me. Their experimentation on humans through magic reminds me of the scientific experimentation the Embassy does to its subjects. I have recently raided yet another Embassy location in Nevada, where I have stolen hordes of dossiers and filings pertaining to heroes and villians I see walking the streets of Paragon today. The files not only suggest a shadowy funding of the Soviet Defenders of the Motherland, an age-old group formed through scientific research during the Cold War, but also contains the funding receipts for many scientific and mystic experiments located right here in Paragon City itself. It seems that the Embassy has more to do with many of today's current heroes than many would think...
And there's a small file on a mister Marcus Cole as well...

My sources have led me to believe that the Superdine drug being supplied by, and created by, the Skulls is falling from the hand of a mysterious benefactor of the Skulls. In a recent mission into the drug warehouse of one of the Skulls luietenants, I was able to destroy quite a few drug creation labs, and to uncover that there is a partner in this current drug rush. Who would profit from an alliance with the Skulls?
So now my attention is focused on the Skulls and their current excessive drug selling. There appears to be a large focus of this selling on their turf in Kings Row and, even more, in the dangerous Perez Park. Surrounding hospitals are overflowing with addicts and overdoses. I must stop drug rush and discover who is helping the Skulls, and if, possibly, the Embassy has any connection
My offer is this. On Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at approximately 7:00pm (eastern standard time) I will be entering Perez Park to stop the rush at its source, and to hopefully get some questions answered. Any who wish to help would greatly be appreciated at that time to meet me at the Atlas Park gateway inside of Perez Park. Let yourself be known and I will gladly work with you on this ever-important mission. All are welcome, especially healers and defenders- your services would be greatly appreciated and I would be in debt to your kind service. This mission is of utmost importance.
My sources also note a possible involvement of the Circle of Thorns as well

At last I have come to an end with the Vahzilok for now. With the aid of a fellow hero, I was able to confiscate the stolen cadavers before they were used for the mysterious research of the people of the sewer. The task was a hard one, but the success was a milestone in the war against these hideous beings.
I was, however, unsuccessful in finding the truth behind the identity of the Vahzilok ally. I must now investigate that more. Currently, as I take on the Skulls and their selling of the Superdine drug, I must try to dicover if they are, indeed as I suspect, the mysterious ally of the Vahzilok.
What possibly could the Skulls and the Vahzilok be working on?
My fight continues...

Paragon City, Atlas Park
With the help of two very exemplar individuals, today, I confronted the Vahzilok in an ongoing attempt to discover the purpose of their recent kidnappings of wealthy industrialists. I seem to have stumbled upon a plot that encompasses more than the sum of its parts. Not only are the Vahzilok kidnapping civilians, they are testing on them and creating human cadavers. Also there is a strange alliance with the skull gang. When in the sewers today, hoping to find the Vahzilok in their home, my team came across an extensive amount of skulls, and in a separate, personal mission, I uncovered secret Vahzilok information from a skull member.
The plot seems to be thickening. I will get to the bottom of this, in hopes that I can find connections or answers that involve the illustrious Embassy. All shall not be for nothing. I have reporting these findings to encourage a close watchful eye over the sewers and the streets. A strange plot is brewing within the sewers, and an even stranger alliance seems to be forming.
This and more of the re-emerging 5th Column. I must research my stolen dossiers, for I fear Ive heard that name from an Embassy file before

I am Mr White (no period after the "r") on the Virtue server. I am on during my usual patrol hours (6pm-1am eastern/standard time).

I have an offer of assistance to any who can help my cause. Heroes with shredded and forgoten pasts. Loners with no memory or their lives. May I remind you all of the dossiers I have stolen from the Embassy. Unfortunately, I have not stolen my own. My past is gone to me. Anyone with knowledge of the mysterious weapons programs, your assistance would be repayed tenfold.

I come with a message that is yours for the taking. The Embassy is coming to Paragon City. I have tracked them meticulously, and theyre agents are already here. There agents are recruiters for the war they prepare to rage against the world, a war fought with super soldiers genetically crafted and super-evolved to the peak of human and mutant condition. I know this because I was one of their weapons one of their projects.
Little is known about the shadowy Embassy, a European based centre for research and development of the paranormal. Behind the picturesque think tank face is an embedded, corrupt, and secret organizations with aspirations in political and world domination. Millions upon millions of dollars and hours are spent producing perfect weapons for a war of races. Everything their funding, their reaches, their locations are well kept secrets, covered by lies and mysteries.
But I know their secret.
At least some of it. I became what was known as Project 7 in a line of weapon Projects that still continue today. I was to become the leader of the genetic war. However, despite their induced evolution and propaganda, I managed to reject my cause and escape, with a handful of dossiers pertaining to the whereabouts of past projects, dormant human weapons, secret bases, and field agents. I found nothing on my past
So now I am a man without a past, without a recollection of who I was before I came into contact with this shadow organization known only as The Embassy. I have traveled the globe seeking to destroy the organization using the minute set of information I have stolen, both during my original escape, and over the course of the years through warehouse raids. I have tracked their agents to Paragon City, a melting pot for potential weapons of the Embassy. Unfortunately, their plans still remain secret to me.
So I, former Project 7, have taken the alias Mr White (without a period this denotes definition, which my life has none of), and have brought myself here for the purpose of stopping the Embassy, and finding my past. I advise all to be respectful; I am a man who works for one person, and one person only me. The side I am on is MY side, the cause is MY cause. I am willing to help others, if the cause is just to my cause.
I have given you this information to use as you wish. Beware, the Embassy is coming.
