I'm guessing that Accuracy will be nerfed.

[/ QUOTE ]

Man, Jack. Sounds to me like those constant whiners are wearing you down. That sounded downright disheartened, disillusioned, and sarcastic. Like a man who's lost sight of where the fun came from originally.

Don't let them do it to you!
2. Awesome. I was just wondering if we could do something like this. I'll join as soon as I get home this afternoon.
3. <ul type="square">[*]Team-only effects (Recall Friend, Leadership pool powers, etc.) should affect SG members even if not on the team. This will help Raid-style missions immensely (like Hamidon, or raids on other SGs) when team-size is a limiting factor
4. SG Improvements:
<ul type="square">[*]Notification of SG members logging on/off (perhaps re-notify on Zone, as with Friends notifications)[*]Sound to accompany SG chat messages (as with Team or Private messages)[*]Ability to change SG Colors or Chest Emblem after SG creation [*]Ability to specify the number of ranks [*]Ability to specify the priviledges of each Rank [*]Ability to set SG colors differently depending on Rank (e.g: Leaders are Green/Gold, Lieutenants are Green/Silver, Members are Green/Black) [*]Ability to select showing SG Rank over players' heads (Not a change to SGs themselves, but to our display options)
6. I've been wanting to dive in and look at Gnarly's SoD source code, since he provides it (or did) on his web page. If its still available, I should be able to go in and make modifications.

I've been wanting to update it to take advantage of ToggleOn and ToggleOff, definitely. In theory, using these two new commands will eliminate issues of drawing weapons and such. You'll no longer need to use Unqueue to turn off sprint and such as he does now in those cases. Also you would no longer have to engage Hover to disengage Fly, and other mutually-exclusive workarounds. All in all, it should make the sum total of bind files smaller by a good margin.

You really wouldn't need to do anything to it deal with Kheldian travels powers. Nova form only has one travel power, and it's inherent, no on/off needed. Peacebringers have versions of flight and hover. The only thing to do is to turn on and off SoD when you switch forms. The only enhancement to the interface would be to allow the input of your Flight powername and Hover powername if different from those.
7. This should help us out a lot. The new Update 3 includes a couple new /commands. Namely: "powexec_toggleon" and "powexec_toggleoff"

Should be able to use our hover/fly binds with this and not ahve to sheath weapons or unqueue attacks I'd think.

That's kind of what I was looking for too. I wanted to be able to travel with SJ but automatically switch back to CJ as soon as I stopped (for the defense bonus). I'd been using Gnarly's fly binds with my flyers for some time, and I was thinking that it would be great if could toggle CJ/SJ the same way it toggles hover/fly when in fly mode.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmm. Interesting. You should call it the JoD binds: Jump on Demand

I would think, though, that you could accomplish the same thing just by making a single bind on the space bar (or whatever key you use for jumping). I don't have my binding hat on at the moment, but it it would work on the same principle as the SoD binds: When Space is depressed, SJ kicks on; When it is released, CJ is on.

1. DA, Ice Armor, Stone Armor - the f/x are going throug a redo and the powers will be made stackable. I'll tell you when as soon as the schedule is solid.

[/ QUOTE ]

Stateman, I had a thought regarding making these powers stackable, and a comment on why *not* to make them stackable.

Obviously, in making them stackable, the powers will have to be tweaked as well, since otherwise you'll end up with some resistances really high. For example, all the Dark Armors give resistance to Negative in addition to whatever that particular Armor's focus is. Letting them stack will make the Negative Resistance possibly unbalanced (though this is arguable given the rarity of the damage type).

Assuming my assumption is correct, and a tweak will ahve to be made anyways, then instead of making these stackable, perhaps broaden the current powers. I like the fact that that they are currently situational, but when its all-or-nothing, you end up dead (thus the reason why everyone is wanting a change).

Here's my idea: leave the armors as-is, but broaden their scope. If an armor's purpose is to protect versus Lethal/Smashing, also give it a small amount of Elemental and Energy resistance. For example, if an armor currently gives 30% resist to Smash/Lethal, perhaps it could also give 10% to the other damage types. The reverse also applies: the elemental armors would give a big boost to elemental resistance, and a small boost to other resistances.

In this way, the armors are still situational (You'd still want the elemental armor on versus very elemental enemies), but no longer a liability (i.e. that Brick amongst the other outcasts isn't going to one-shot you with his smashing damage while you protect yourself from EVERYONE else's elemental damage).

I know DA scrappers use enough END as it is. Making these armors stackable isn't going to accomplish much because they'll run out of END in 3 attacks instead of 5. Running out of endurance is worse than the current state of the armors, since at least currently I can have *some* resistance up, but if I'm out of endurance, it doesn't matter what could or couldn't stack.

Except that these same enemies spawn in Steel Canyon and Skyway City.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but not in Hazard-Zone sized groups.
11. [ QUOTE ]
We'll also be tuning down Trolls and Outcasts even more - to make them like Skulls and Hellions (fewer powers, etc.).

[/ QUOTE ]

I have to agree with the sentiments of those that thought making the outcasts and trolls different than the vanilla Skulls/Hellions was a great thing. Please don't take the powers away from them (well, maybe Hurricane *grin*)

In my experience so far, it seems that, for many people, its just not sinking in that the Hollows is a Hazard Zone. Its the same thing that, in the past, happened with Perez. The first time someone encounters Perez Park, they don't know what to make of a Hazard Zone. Then they end up face-down on the sidewalk because they were used to small groups of mobs, not groups of 10 mobs.

It is a Hazard Zone, it should be, well, Hazardous!

If (pre-Expansion 2) the mission was from a different Hero's contact, you will not get the badge, even if you helped them.

Why? Because we keep no record of that on your character. We only track what missions your character did for your OWN contacts (so you don't get asked to do the same mission twice by your contacts).

[/ QUOTE ]

Positron,

At the level 30-34 contacts, my character recieved duplicate missions *many times*. And by many I mean I must've done the Oberst von Burek (might be mispelled) mission 4 times, for from 2 different contacts. Almost all my other non-StoryArc missions at that level duplicated as well, and I would frequently get the mission repeated by a different contact, though most were duplicated by the same contact.

At one point I had the same mission in all three of my mision slots, so I could show my friends to prove that I wasn't smoking crack.

This obviously isn't related to the badges, per se, but your comment about being sure you don't duplicate missions made me think of it. Something is broken somewhere, either with my character, or the mission completes that write to the DB for this series, or something.

Do you keep track of every mission a person completes for their contacts, or for every Unique mission they complete?

People say street-hunting is monotonous, but nothing is as boring as doing the same exact Devouring Earth mission for the 3rd time.

Character is "Spelling Bee" on Victory

Edit: This occurred Pre-Expansion2
