Quote:Which allows the prestige to convert into pure distilled ebil?Oh god.
Help.
Someone, stop me.
I had a thought.
An ebil thought.
A reaaaaaaaaaallly ebil thought.
You know those Buddhist Sand Mandalas?
Yeah, you know where I'm going.
I still want to be the #1SG in game. I'm willing to work towards it, and keep fighting.
And once we reach the ultimate height...(and we'll have to agree on this)...
We take screencaps of everything...
Document our meteoric rise...
Kick each other all out of the SG...
And Fulmens disbands the SG. -
Quote:Already done. I'm cutting into my own Freedom project though. That 2.5B is like 3 days worth of inf and with the recent spiderbots exploit I was only catching up with #1 a little even avg'ing 1B a day burned.Granny will be making a contribution based on proceeds from her auction
(see other thread in this forum).
That said, if someone is already planning a big contribution to the 88's,
consider bidding on Granny's trinket with it - the proceeds will still end
up in the 88's. While it's true that you'd be boosting her prestge rather
than your own, it's also true that you'd get a pretty nice shiny for it...
Cheers,

There is a whole section of the market for buying recipes and even crafted IOs. Though you can pop them or merit buy them as well....it'll just take longer if you have tons of inf already.
-
I was considering donating about 2.5B more to my similar to '88s project on Freedom but for this enhancer I'm game to donate it to '88s on virtue even though I wouldn't normally pay this much for one.
So count me in as a bid of 2.5B.
I would be happy to do the transaction through gleemail. -
I know most (if not all) badge missions are not auto-completable. Otherwise it wouldn't suprise me if missions with significant rewards weren't either.
I often use it to clear arcs that my toons have levelled past so I don't have to waste time fighting level 15 trolls when I'm like 40th level or whatever. -
Quote:A corollary of this is that sometimes the min level has a lot of action as well. Especially when the set bonuses are REALLY nice. But the stuff in between in usually dead.I think we've all learned this lesson the hard way.
Once I had a great idea to blanket a level range for a particular Kinetic Combat recipe, because hey people wanted them and from what I saw they were mostly selling way under value. So I laid out a bunch of bids on an alt and went away for a while. Checked back, had a pile of wins, crafted them up and listed the IOs.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
I mean, eventually they all sold at a nice markup, but it too waaaay too long to be worth my while, even on a parked alt.
When I'm slotting junk I shop around and find deals in the 'off brand' levels, but most people don't bother- they shop where the action is, and that's at the 'max level' for whatever recipe or IO they want.
I "owned" touch of death NE procs at all levels (25-40) for an issue. I made less inf on that for 8-10x the work than I did off "owning" a couple of the level 50 IOs which did good volume. -
Quote:He was flippantly arrogant BEFORE the malware ever came up. He admits earlier in the post he was trolling to get people's goats. Since I had previously respected him for all the work he put into helping badgers. I think mostly I was offended that someone I thought was a good solid player decided to troll the market boards for no appreciable reason. The malware was a genuine misunderstanding. I'd love to have a language expert as well, but I doubt I could slip that past the CFO in my divisional budget.Well, I have a suggestion... fire your IT guy and hire a language expert..
As for Beef being flippantly arrogant.. what do you expect? You accuse him of something that isn't true and had no basis in fact. I'm pretty sure most people would react that way! THEN you post a pseudo apology and inject a few insulting jabs while remaining quite condescending, which is a tone I find throughout your posts... maybe that wasn't intentional as well huh? Don't be that cop that shoots first then yells freeze!
Nice to see you'd so flippantly lay someone off in this economy too.....I mean you do realize when you say something like that that there is a real human being with that job, right? -
The easy solution in times like these is to simply delay slotting IOs for a bit. If you are buying salvage to craft and sell...well hopefully your margins are wide enough to absorb the input price increases.
-
LotG +7.5% are always popular (100M per or so)
Kin Combat has 2-3 recipes which run high (80M or so)
Numina and Miracle uniques are ok (50-80M or so)
Pretty much anything which everyone can slot and would want runs like that........with a couple exceptions like Perf Shifter +End proc which only goes for like 15M even crafted. -
I'll let Fulmens decide if Pandaemonium on Freedom is an "88" or not since he started the craziness. Either way I'm about to crack 100M prestige of which probably 90M is from conversions.
-
Test it and let us know.

Yeah.....the worst AE bug yet I know of came right after people discovered that the new shiny ssk code didn't make mm pets exemp down in AE. The amazing thing is for all their supposed datamining, the powers in charge of the game didn't notice that 50% as much inf was generated in like 3 weeks as had been in the entire game up to that point.
There was a week in there that I KNEW something was really, really wrong because I was making inf off anything and everything I posted to the market. Purples spiked from 100-200M per range to 800-1000 on redside. I ran alot of lib tv farm for like 2 weeks and made an absolute ton of inf. I felt pretty good about myself until I learned that people were capping their 2B inf from nothing in like 90 mins in AE (and probably slotted a lot of toons with purples based on what I posted).
The current surge isn't like that one in that its been slow moving....but it still looks like a bubble that'll go back down at some point. -
Alot of the problem is also that there is an outstanding AE exploit which is discouraging people from fighting normal content. And almost nobody turns tickets in for common salvage rolls.
-
Quote:Amerits aren't the most efficient way to create purples. At their current prices, people will be encouraged to farm level 47+ non-AE content to pop them. This will reduce their prices to whatever the new equilibrium is. I expect purples are past the eventual new equilibrium but not to their high point before they start declining yet. So I expect them to rise and then come back down, though not as far down as they were before.I lean toward the prices of purples increasing.
Here's my reasoning:
General 'good' recipes can be had for two a-merits. 7.5's, healing unique's, etc, etc.
Those seem to go 'on market' for about 100 millions, last I looked.
Purples can be had for twenty a-merits.
For those recipes which are supply-limited, the price should then tend toward parity with a-merit's disparity. Namely, most 'good' purples should wind up around a billion.
The idea is thus: You have a player who has inf and earns merits. Before a-merits, he would have likely spent inf on the 'good' oranges first, since that's more bang for buck. Now, he can save that inf and bid on purples, while he gets the orange goodies with a-merits.
More inf chasing a similar number of purples, prices rise.
We'll see if my theory holds water. -
To my knowledge it does nothing in PvE and is non-resistable in PvP. I haven't tested it in like 4 issues though so perhaps its been "fixed" so it doesn't work anywhere now.
-
Fair enough. I think I have a pretty good idea what that would be then. Sounds like something virtuites in pocket D might enjoy.

Quote:What is furry porn....as a 39 year-old mother of 2 I'm not sure I actually know what that is. Which is sad I did teach a unit in an Economics class on the economics of sexuality andSounds like you need to quit downloading furry porn. We all know that is the leading cause of malware.
porn in the late '90s. -
Quote:Good to know and I re-affirm my apology to Beefcake for using imprecise language and possibly implying he was responsible for malware.Much as I would like to avoid this thread entirely, I do feel compelled to chime in and say that I checked out the link, do not appear to have picked up any malware, confirmed by scans from two different packages. Just to allay fears from any others who might have clicked on it.
-
Quote:My language was imprecise. I didn't intend to accuse you. I also didn't know you owned the ftp server...most people posting here use 3rd party picture sites to post pics which are notorious for malware infections. I didn't intend to accuse you so I'm sorry if it came off that way. That said, you're flippantly arrogant which doesn't engender confidence in what you say. You come off like a teenager who is so unsure he's right that he blusters to cover his anxieties. And the whole thing got started as you said....because you were in a weird mood and decided to troll on the forums.Well, read your first post regarding this isue, you did accuse me. I don't take that too lightly, specially when I own that ftp server through comcast, its my personal server and I know what's on it. It gets scanned and backed up daily.
There are literally thousands of ways to get malware on your PC and you come and blame me. Whatever....lol -
-
Quote:My IT guy didn't say it came from you. Though I guess I could ask him to see if he can tell. Its useful having someone much more knowledgable about this stuff than I am working for me sometimes. I'm not accusing you of anything Beefcake, I just posted a warning because I didn't want anyone else getting malware who doesn't have personal IT support. If its not because of your pic I appologize....I'm not intending to defame you in any way.Well you and your IT guy are wrong, this is my ftp server, and it doesn't contain malware, sorry. And my system is scanned on a daily basis, again sorry, not from me or my ftp server.
You may want to recheck the sites you normally go to, good possibility you got it from them -
Your pic isn't malware, but I picked malware up same day as and I didn't click on anything else new or unusual. Its not your fault if Comcast has malware on their system...not accusing you, just a word of warning since it was the most likely cause. You should consider checking your own system I suppose too....it never hurts.
-
I wonder if the devs will give us bug-hunter for it.....hmmm.........might be able to get badgers in on this too! I'm sure they have a few bucks laying around from all the fighting to get the 2B inf popped badge.
-
I just thought of a new secondary goal for the crazy 88's. Lets see what happens when the prestige trips over 2B.
Or do you guys want to watch me fund Pandaemonium on Freedom for that since I need to get to 700M to get to #1 anyhows? I think its only a trillion inf total.....we should be able to scrape that up over a couple issues, right?
