Oh, also, make sure that you have their powersets. I also like to say my travel power and pool powers. If you want more detail, things like height, eye color, etc. is good info too, but thats getting pretty specific, hehe ^^;

I..uh.. have the powersets for the two "completed" ones....
were you speaking "in general".... or did you not see them...
where would be a better place to put them? -

... If you did, that's great but if not you *must* link to their owner's site (and have permission to use them).
Otherwise, it's a nice idea and a good start!

Those I do have, I'll be including on the character's individual page... but at least one (the one for ADG) I have no idea where I got it... ive been trying to find out who the model is for over 3 years with no luck.... Im almost HOPEING someone runs across it and goes "Hey JERK, thats MINE!"
but yea, As i said I just started this last night, and into this morning... so it will be getting more "legal" as I go...
as to it being sparce... do you think its "bad"? I mean I could go walls out and make it all flashy... but if it isnt a benifit to the page.. why bother? -
Well, Last night I decided to start putting up my characters on a web page... with their ingame bio, concept images, refrence shots stuff like that.
I know it isnt "art" per-say... but I was wondering what you artists think about it.
Basically:
Is my signature enough of a clue
are the pages adequite(only the first two characters are "done")... in sofar as would the information and pictures given be adequite for you to whip something up... too much of anything, too little.. too small too big..
If Im going to put up pictures, and make my characters "accessable" to the casual artist (as well as anyone I ask/hire for a commission)
I want to make sure Im "doing it right".
any help/suggestions would be great. (the link is in my signature.)
I know its pretty sparce, but Im sort of going for "Cheap functionality", and this is what ive got to work with. -
hehehe.. I just cant get enough of watching that little girl die.
-
yea, I must have been asleep before so I missed that wip.... and I seem to have little splotches on my screen from something or other so when I squint very hard... It looks sort of like you had dirty fingers when you were drawing ;P
-
Good freaking GOD....
Thats amazing!
I still dont see "pile o' bodies"... but if those come out well... I may kidnap you to "flesh out" a commish for the Riving (lots of blood, gore...flayed bodies, stuff on fire... typical teen princess stuff)
-
yea, I really like the style... I like the subtle deformation, and all the "rumple" detail on the baggy clothing..
-
I only use refrences, Falcon.... thats probably one of my biggest problems..
I dont have a real good sense of a drawings "core"... everything is kinda drawn from the outside inward... so they are shape first, form last (if ever)
this creates the constant problem of having things look out of proportion, because the basic shape of an image often doesnt take into account the angle and poise of certain bodyparts... especially when we start talking about the characture of human form that is comic book art..
it also means that the "roundness" of solid figures constantly gives me problems, because there is no in picture que to determine where the basic structure of the image is in relation to its outline... -
I didnt even try to do the feet.. i just sort of put nobby things at the end of her legs ;P
and by "hand" I assume you mean the complete lack of a hand? or do you mean arm? :-/ -
Fine... I came on..
this is SORTA what ive been doing since the last post... (I started it one day a week ago, and cleaned it up today)
its not great... but I dont quite know where to go from here, or if I should just chalk it up to "doodle" and start over with something else.

I like it... If it keeps moving along like this, I might have to bribe you for some comish work
-
I love the detail (like crimps and curls in the clothing, etc..)
my only real suggestion... is the pose.
its not dynamic at all :-/
I dont know what you're art looked like before (sorry) so I cant comment on "how much its improved"...
but I think all the "detail quality" is there in this picture... the only thing missing is the sense of action, of motion... of potential and kenetic energy...
...but make no mistake, I think its great work, and far better than what I can acomplish. -
those are gorgeous, I cant wait to see more winners
-
Im not sure how he was able to tie in the concept of "prestige AT's" to the idea that missions could directly relate to a character's "profession"...
but I like the idea of, perhaps, taking a collection of missions that evolve the "backstory" of your character somewhat... could be an alternate way of aquiring BSPs, through a system similar to respec taskforce/trials, thus enabling them to be more benificial, and also directly limiting a players ability to aquire too many of them (if they had one of these "solo taskforces" every 10 levels..?)
would cut into the sense of "this is just a fun cool way to evolve your character's personal history"
but at the same time, since they are individual (scaled and organized for soloing) it would be more like "living" the characters past... instead of "talking" about it. it would also be a cool introduction to the task force system already in place, and give new content for characters in every stage of the game. -
well, the wolf looks awsome, simple, and emotive.
I agree, the puny human meatsacks need a little work, but Im not artist, so you'd have to pick up pointers from someone else. -
Ive seen a lot worse in "flame replies" jug...
I dont think your saying anything "new"... and it's certainly said with a measure of respect and decorum. If anyone gets offended... they're probably the people you'd WANT to be offended and leave in the first place -
hehe, I wasnt saying she was off to "do her bit for the boys"....
but the whole idea of getting her clothes "removed/lost/misplaced/stolen/destroyed" through the course of an adventure.... IS Jane... its like her thing...
So, I thought I'd point you in that direction, if you had never heard of her before. -

Not sure what you're referring to. The only ones that come to mind are
-Jane: Tarzan's lady
-Jayne: from Firefly

no, and no....
This: Is Jane
It just seems so fitting for Belle, as you'll see if you get through the article (though its much more about the model, Cristabel, than the strip itself) -
Buckeye.... have you ever heard of "Jane"???
-
thanks Krochet... Im sort of hoping this thread will inspire some creative juices in the community...
imo... anyone can write out a page of "history" about a character... but it takes true skill to convey the sense of a character in confined space. -
