This was my first forum thread so I thought it fitting that it be my last.
When I posted this I had just joined BMT after playing the game for a number of years. Joining BMT changed the game for me, I went from mostly soloing to always having a team or event to jump on.
Looking back I now realize it was not joining BMT that changed the game but rather it was discovering the greater Champion community. You are all what made this game great from the drop ship challenges, to the weekly Hami raids, The task force Tuesdays to the weekly mother ship raids and all the task forces and trials in between.
Thanks for the all the good times Champs, I'll miss you all. -
I would be happy to kick a thousand or so in if this becomes a real option
-
Quote:Sorry we couldnt get it for you. Let me know next time you try and I'll definatly come to help.Thank you all for coming.
Due to some bugs in the system, everyone but me got their Accolade.
The reason is that advancement seems to be random for the Swiss Draw. We've made several tries. I only got to the third round once. But since for some strang reason I was alone in the fight, I didn't got the badge.
I'll try again soon.
Thanks again for those who came. -
Sure count me in
1) @Thul Sorapa - Lady Clara
2) @BigMoneyHustla - BigMoneyHustla
3) @iltat - Master Pingu

Quote:... and one very stupid moment by yours truely. Sorry about that first run, I was looking for the tank to target through and never saw the green. Wont happen next time!Great runs today folks. We did 3 trials total with about 18 people in the league and managed to get Bunker Buster, Anti-Anti-Matter and Loves a Challenge. Came very close to Green Stuff but had a few unlucky moments.
Thanks everyone who came out to help today and great work! Congrats on the badges! -
Count me in @Twisted Humor - Mentu (BS/SR Scrapper)
-
Cobalt, thanks for you're run as BMT mod, very sorry to see you go. Hope to see you around sometime.

The Egyptian guy in the purple and yellow costume (Mentu) is me @Emperon. The Guy in the black and yellow with the glowing red eyes (Nu Blood) to my right is @Level Up.

Quote:No doubt, I'm not saying there is a "dislike" of new players. I couldn't list all the players I've seen go out of their way to help other players. Yourself, Cobalt and Horus we're all extremly helpful when I first came to BMT. What I'm saying is I dont understand the concern over them. Some may be nightmares to team with but some here already are nightmares to team with. I think there is an equal chance that some are going to be great to team with.I wouldn't necessarily equate a concern about F2P players with a dislike for new players. I can't speak for everyone, but there are many veterans on this server that have assisted new players with the game and welcomed them with open arms. It's more the fact that in other games F2P has attracted a certain crowd known to be... generally unpleasant. Many people have experienced that first hand and therefore are concerned as to how that would affect our community as it currently is.
-
Me and the Kings Army will be sticking around on Champion. Going F2P means one of our co-founders who left years ago may come back plus I'm looking forward to teaming with some of the new folks that will be brought in by this.
One thing I never understood about alot of the vets here is their reluctance to PUG or team with newbies. Some of the best teams I've been on have been PUGs. The first time I teamed with Prvt Slacker, Angie B, Shaytanna, Demobot and several other great players were on PUGs. I only got into BMT because @Level Up PUGed with someone from BMT who invited him.
One of the best times I had in this game was before I knew what BMT was, @Level UP(Ir0h), @Twisted Humor (Twisted Humor) and I (Fire Fox II) teamed with Angie, her husband and a few other people. It was a great team and we had lots of fun. I am willing to bet there are a few F2P people out there that will be awsome to team with.
Sure there will some that are no fun to team with but they're easy enough to boot from a team. Now granted I dont think I'll be running any Dr Qs or MOSFs with new F2P players until I've teamed with them a few times but over all I'm cautiously optimistic. -
Yup Champion Rocks! I played for years on various servers before finding my way to Champion. Once I came to Champion this became the only server I play on.
-
So that's what they mean by Peep Show!
Happy Easter Champs! -
Thanks Infini, this helps alot!
One day I will get a hang of mids and the art of builds. Until then it's good to know we have a great in game comunity and helpful players like yourself. -
Ok so, I think this is better but Im sure it could still use a lot of help. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the tips Syntax. For some reason I was under the impression the soft cap was 85, no clue where I got that from.
To answer your questions Fly is a must for concept reasons, I do have the 60 month vet reward and I dont really have a budget. The higher cost just gives me more reason to play.
Again thanks for your tips, guess it's back to the drawing board. -
Just finally started using mids. This is my first attempt at broadsword/super reflex scrapper. I could use some help. Any suggestions?

Kings Row, It was the first new zone I went to when my first toon left Atlas for the first time. I remeber just loving the grittiness of it. My Supergroup "The Kings Army" is still centered around King's Row and I run all my tips there.
Croatoa is not far behind. The fact that the bad guys are based off of Irish lore plays off of my Irish pride to suck me in. That and when it was first introduced and I just happened to be writing a research paper about the Lost Colony of Roanoke. -
Welcome to Champion Tux! Most important rule, Dont feed the penguins!!!

Hey Champs
Razer is giving away some gear on facebook. You need to refer 10 people to qualify for a 2nd drawing. If any of you are on facebook check it out. If you register you would be doing me a favor and getting a chance to win some sweet gear. -
But you have to bring cupcakes or bacon. You get bonus points for bacon flavored cupcakes.

So you think you can love me and leave me to die...
