I scrolled to the end first and decided it wasn't worth reading!
(Kidding!!)
Actually, you nailed it. They're using an answer to one question and disguising it as the answer to a completely different question.
And I think people CAN think that you're a little overly uncaring about learning things before they're revealed in the actual piece of art.
It's called personal preferences! -

I shall be there!
I also need to send you something about a tie-in we passed over many moons ago!
See ya!)) -

I don't want to read that article before I get a chance to read through the entire report.

Quote:In case you haven't found anything yet...If this has already been mentioned elsewhere I must have missed it. Can someone provide a link or more info?
I can think of two ways to interpret that statement and I'm not sure which is correct.
Access To Cool Features Thread!

- Tier 3 or 4 Powers are now available at level 41
- Tier 5 Powers are now available at level 44

While I understand the focus on Origins (as it is a concrete choice that you must make at the start and can never change), they are no more (or less) useless than any other aspect of flavor to the game.
And if flavor was useless, Min/Maxers would just sit around looking at numbers and percentages and try to change them with clicking keys and buttons.

Also...
Now we know why they added in the Catch A Breath emote. -
Steelclaw... You know I love you, man.
But... This is just not funny...
It is NOT funny!!

Thanks, but did you actually read the short thread and the information within?
I couldn't see them because of a bug. Check it out and see if this bug happens to you as well, please! -
Quote:Agreed. In fact, please do sidetrack this thread and any and all threads necessary to point out how Blaster nukes don't have to lose damage in order to lose the severity of their crashes.Oh, I didn't mean here exactly, more just in general. Still, it wouldn't have been the worst side-track I've ever seen on these forums.
I'm certainly happy to hear your opinions on it.
Should I start a thread? "Arcanaville says 'UP WITH NUKES'!!"? -
Hehe, I knew someone would chime in with that
Still... go in and check if this bug happens to you. Check off to hide "recipes with missing ingredients" at the Astral Merit store and see if these options show up any more (even when you have more than enough Astrals).
They don't for me. -
-
Quote:AHA... Even though I had plenty of Astral Merits, only the "Incarnate" subcategory would appear beneath "Account Rewards"... until I turned off the "Hide recipes missing ingredients".From Astral Christy:
All > Account Rewards > Unlocks
Should display two 'recipes' "Unlock Capes" and "Unlock Auras", at a cost of 5 astrals each. they will not display if you don't have 5 astrals and have the "recipes missing ingrediants" selected for the "hide..." settings.
Very weird. This sounds like a bug.
Thank you very much for the response and for mentioning the Hide option.
Since I had plenty of Merits, I didn't think that was the culprit.
The options still disappear when I click to hide that (and I currently have over 40 astral merits).
!!
Thanks! -
Do we have to select the Crippling Uppercut Power or can we just use:
Right, Down, Diagonal-Right/Down + A,B or C?
Thanks for the video!
I hope top check it out, myself, *szoon!

Okay... I've looked a few times.
Figured I missed it. Looked again. What am I doing wrong?
I've not been able to find the vouchers to unlock capes and auras for my low level alts in either the Empyrean nor the Astral Venders...
Did these never go live?
I humbly submit that I am confoo'ZED!!
Where are they in the store?
And thank you!

Thanks again again again again, Von Krieger!!!
Time Manipulation really sounds like a fun, all around buff/debuff set. I'm actually getting interested in trying it out (I pretty much always play damage dealers or tanks!!).
Quote:Oooh... Another technical hurdle they've worked around then. Good job on them. I had started to think we were going to see new options for hiding visual effects before we ever saw this. You can now right click and remove buff abilities that do not have negative effects. Like removing Hasten to stop the glowy gloves.
Just remember that example of Hasten's effects... it's not just the visuals, you're canceling the buff.
I see this as more valuable for ally armors and such, especially during costume contests and the like (I saw a contest recently that had a troll endlessly putting ice armors on everyone the entire time. People did a good job of ignoring him, but still... what a tool).
So, that is a nice little feature/option.
Quote:They've moved away from the Tier 9 nuke type penalties. Synapse has been thinking about maybe lessening the crash from the nukes. But if they did that, they'd have to lessen the damage.
I love the crashless nukes on other sets. And I don't often use Thunderous Blast... However, when I do... I love it's damage, hehe...

Quote:Zwill, very serious question about this...I come bearing tidings of good news:
For the purposes of the VIP Beta (and the VIP Beta only, so no, you can't keep them when we go live), we will be seeding all currently active accounts with 10,000 Paragon Points, so you can spend to your hearts desire in the Paragon Market.
This will be live when Beta comes up tonight (fingers crossed, knock on wood, spin around in a circle and spit over your left shoulder).
Can we trade back the beta points for cash?
And...
Okay, you win. that was the best reply and best use of that image everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
(I wonder if that image has been used over 9,000 times yet...). -

Quote:It was twenty-thousand years ago today,
That Eermeth taught the band to play,
They've been going in and out of hosts,
But they're guaranteed to raise some ghosts.
So may I introduce to you
The cult you've known for all these years....
(You may have been going for metal, but that's not what I saw.)
*cheers*
Billlll... EEEEEEEEE... Heck? -
Quote:You know, I understand what you're saying here...Makes one wonder how many members of the art team are thinking "&#^$ you guys!" right now.
But I think that angle is totally missing the bigger picture.
There was a ridiculous amount of unique/individual customers in agreement about the initial glimpses.
Those bald guys with goatees, wearing the Sexy Flanders thorns outfits weren't an optical illusion of low-grade cell phone photography.
I think everyone should focus on how awesome it is for the product that we enjoy to have such a large fandom. That is a wonderful thing.
The existing game has a legacy and the continuing product has a community of fans that care!!
That is absolutely &#^$ing awesome. And to be a part of that continuing product, as an artist, designer, writer, programmer, coffee-make, etc. is a &#^$ing pretty cool thing.
I think everyone should be happy (except those who don't like the latest changes, of course).
Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone misses the mark and/or underestimates the values of certain things...
Not everyone has a vocal, loyal, passionate fan-base that lets them know about it...
And not every continuing product has a team that listens and responds in kind.
I say thumbs up to the community and to Paragon Studios.
And praise to City Of Heroes for being a 7 year old franchise with historical legacy and a vibrant future.
Yep... I'm drinkin' the cool aid today and it tastes GOOOOOD. -
Quote:HAHA!Significantly improved over the last pics that I saw. Part of me wonders why so much of the new design has to be so... pointy, but then again, they are not the Circle of Rounded, Safe Edges.
That made me laugh enough that I figured I should share it!
It also inspires me to make an AE arc about such a CoT counter splinter group faction thing!

My initial reaction to this small glimpse...
Very very cool.
I wanted to take a few moments and look over them, because I definitely love the look and they look fierce and mystical and awesome. The obscured faces and glowing eyes inside of the hoods and hats are fantastic and a must (and, actually, it looks pretty cool with the Mages now as well) and, i have ot say, that the new garments go well in combination with them.
I am still a little sad to see the staple, almost campy, old guys in robes thing go away for... completely cool rock your magic socks off style... But, I'm not sure that I'd argue against this direction for the Circle Of Thorns (as much of a traditionalist as I am).
They look wicked. It is a change from their current appearance (which I really liked), but I can't say it is a bad nor a wrong change. Some times, change can be bad... but this could be good.
Again, I hate to say that, as I love the old guys in robes vibe... But... I have to be honest and say that these look wildly fantastic.
The hats, the hoods, the obscured faces and the draping garments were all a must.
You covered that... and created a really wicked, fierce mystical silhouette to frame it all.
Nice work.
(And see? None of this was about "NOOO MUST NOT CHANGE..." nor "I"m a whiner for the sake of whining")
Still... I took some time before I responded to the initial glimpses, so I wonder if I should have waited before responding to these images... If I come back changing my mind, don't disintegrate me (I really don't think I will though. Looks fantastic!).
