It is time. I'll be trying to put it together today, as soon as possible.
-
I can always reschedule. Besides, I'm only about 2 hours from Quebec where I am now, so I do not blame you for seeking such ambrosia as Poutine.
-
Figures it's a week after moving in that I get my internet setup. I still haven't decided on a time just yet, as I'm still trying to work out my schedule. Once I have an idea, I'll give more details. Probably tommorow evening at some point.
-
As I'm starting a new position, in a new town, I'm in the mood to celebrate.
When I get my internet set up, I intend to run an ITF, but with a twist....
This ITF is going to be an all-blaster run.
I'll give more details once I'm set up.
(Moving tommorow, so I'll be without the net until Friday, but likely longer...) -
My brute is a deniable asset of the Canadian Government, originally stationed in the Rogue Isles to monitor and/or destabilize potential threats. He has since been recalled, as his replacement is about to finish his training. Realistically, I'm swapping my brute for a blaster.
-
Not that I know of, but I'd be up to joining, I'd just need to make one.

Neurovolt - an elec/psi dom, is Mental's Loyalist Praetorian counterpart. Significant background differences include the fact that he willingly betrayed the Rikti to Cole during their invasion, so that he could eventually seize control of the Lineage of War. That backfired, and they forcibly changed him back into a human. Eventually I'll write something where he meets Mental, and that'll probably prove interesting.
Keltarn, my SD/KM tank is on the Resistance side of things morally, but Loyalist practically. So he's more focused on the Responsibility and Warden arcs more than anything.
Those are the only two I have now, but that will change. -
How was the TARDIS ride? Run into any Daleks or Cybermen?
-
Hehehe. Are you perhaps mistaking me for myself?
I suppose I should make it clear that I am Mentalshock. -
Kapuskasing, (where I'll be) is about 2 hours out from Timmins. It's right were Hwy 11 curves towards Manitoba.

*Pokes head in and waves*
I've reactivated my account, but I won't be playing too often, as I'm going to be moving north in a few weeks. (Labour Day Weekend) Either way, I'll probably be sticking around.
See ya! -
I'm going to try bringing my brute in. I don't think there'll be any timing issues, but you never know.
-
Happy Birthday, Hulkers!
Might I suggest another Subtle TF to celebrate? I still have that costume saved! -
Quote:Yes, yes indeed. Master Thundershield has taught us well.Yeah, trees are really the highest class of enemy - if you see something that cons as a Tree, run, because even if you can solo a GM it'll mop the floor with you. The bastards have hidden spawns, too, so even if you know they're there, you can't do anything about it... they're just lying in wait, and someday they'll wipe out all of us.
-
It was a good run. Especially since we had a *good* tank.
-
I high-fived him on my Brute, Talon Pyre.
See? I have his hand here!
*Holds up Dean's Hand* -
Without question, my Main Mentalshock would have gone on Omega Team, even though he's of a mutant origin, not magic. Of course, the reason that he would have gone is because he is actually a rehumanized Rikti. Needless to say, he wants to see the Lineage of War stripped of their power, and made to face the consequences of their intended Xenocide of humanity.
My brute, Talon Pyre, probably would not have gone, only because he'd realize the potential shift in the balance of power that would result from the number of heroes lost in the attempt. -
- Discovering that AE does wonders for overcoming writer's block.
- Finding out that when I team with other Canadians, there's a complete change in attitude and personality.
- The gleeful sensation of overkill that comes with Warburg Nukes
- Dying 76 times in a single Old Posi Task Force, run entirely by blasters.
- Most of all, finding that no matter what stresses, or difficulties I might come into the game with, there's always people who will encourage you, and brighten your day. -
So, I've decided to take another approach at telling the story of Mentalshock. This is actually the background story to my AE arc 'The Rikti Civil War', which I may or may not turn into an arc, given the impending upgrades in I17.
(That, and I hope this explains why I haven't played him in so long...)

"They called me Mentalshock from the beginning, but it's not actually the name I would have chosen for myself. It's a name that has suited me time and again, so I've kept using it. It's established.... a history, I suppose. History can be a funny thing. I write this just after the end of the Second Rikti War, so that a record of of who I am exists long after I have gone. By now, It should be common knowledge that Nemesis was responsible for the entire conflict. At least, it should be common knowledge here on THIS Earth. There's a task that must be done, a task that, unfortunatly, only I am capable of doing. I must do this alone. I would prefer the truth of my story dies with me, and that the extent of my doings remain buried beneath the sands of time. As I have been cursed with precognitive abilities, I know that this shall not come to pass. I also know that this fool's errand cannot be ignored, as the fate of two worlds lies in the balance. It no longer matters to me how I am remembered. Hero. Villian. Martyr. I know my course, and I cannot deviate from it. My task.... cannot be explained, it can only be done. There is only one truth I can say that might give you understanding as to why I have done these things. As I once was, so I must become again. No longer shall I be seen on this world. Live in peace.
But let it be known.......
I shall....
Forever be.....
Human.

I turned from my base computer, and shot a beam of electricity into it, frying the circuits, and scrambling all data until it's proper time. My sanctuary had served its purpose, for the last time. It is... unsettling to virtually erase one's own history, even when it is of the absolute neccessity. I keyed open a long hidden storage panel, and removed the large and unwieldy form of a Rikti Mutagenic Chamber. Normally used in the process of turning Rikti into humans for the purpose of infiltration, I would now use it to accomplish the reverse. In order to ensure my plan's success, I had no choice but to don my former flesh to protect the world that was my home from the world of my birth. More than that, I would now have to betray friend and compatriot alike. None would know that this... new Rikti threat was once a hero. I now had to become an identity I thought long dead. For the future, I must become... 'Hostis Humani Generis'. Enemy. Of Mankind.
With no regrets, I activated the device, and climbed inside.

*The alien mothership suddenly explodes*
No, this isn't Independance Day.
I'm back in the game, for now at least.
Let the crowd panic begin!

I've laid claim to Recoil Reverend.
