I have a mission with a glowie which requires you to prevent it from being destroyed. The ambush that attacks either attacks me or sits and does nothing out in front of the object if I'm not there to attack.
Also wondering why my EB escort does not continue fighting after I fall dead, he start kneeling like a ho and gets his [censored] kicked. Its sad how he gets punked like that. -
This may be simple but, can someone tell me how to skip the first level and immediately test the second? I have finished the first mish and completed it solo and it was the only time I tested the second. When I go to test, I don't get prompted (or don't see it) to test the second mission.

No one with a brain uses a full or even partial set of Sovereign Right. The Aura IO for this set should be more like the LOTG Recharge IO - it should offer increased damage AND the Aura effect.
[/ QUOTE ]
With HOs maxing damage and accuracy with 3 enhancements, this post becomes much more irrelivant. That is if you don't mind not getting IO bonuses from those enhancements. Only soulbound purple set is a argument against this and then, not everyone want 3 sets of souldbound, when procs are so effective in pets. -
Does glacier and choking cloud build each others hold mag enough to actually make choking cloud not suck?

Use Dark Pit liberally against squishies, followed up by your ST hold

ST hold? which power is that again? -
sorry if it says already but just wondering if stealth+hide+stealth IO= stealth cap at 50? As i understand it, this is correct?

The difficulty of leveling and equipping toons decreases the number of people who can get involved in competitive PvP. Make a paid PvP expansion where you can auto level to 50 and get unlimited loot for a toon, but can only play in the arena and PvP zones
[/ QUOTE ]
AMEN to this, in know people including myself who have done the grind several times and am not interested in pve for more than half an hour per toon per day. We like PvP, its the only logical place for CoXers to go. Some people i know have quit the game entirely because of that god-awful 1-50 PvE grind. Now while we realise you need to make money, we also realize taht we have been playing the game for over 2 year or more. As a result reward veterans who want to PvP and have more than one level 50. Or impliment the above idea. Please that 1-50 grind is so dang brutal, especiall 30-50, its a nightmare. You are still going to get your monthly fee out of me, if anything im gonna stick around longer knowing that i dont have to dread that grind! -
Can someone set me up with some kind of storm/sonic guide?

Dont forget to add to stalkers they have only 4 secondaries to choose from

I almost always lead with breath, followed by envenom on my attack target.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a level 38 bots/poison, and I've noticed that when I lead off with NB, I tend to take the alpha strike, plus the next couple of attacks, before my bots can do enough to grab their aggro. (NOTE: Being the squishiest of the squishies, that is a BAD thing!)
Sure, NB slows baddies' recharge, but until they use up their attack chain, they attack like normal.
What I usually do is set my pets to attacking first, and then throw off my debuffs (envenom, then weaken and NB, or if its a particularly nasty baddie, envenom, then paralytic poison). That way, they take the aggro from the mob, and I can still debuff the heck out of 'em without (much) fear of drawing aggro.
I throw envenom on first in almost any fight (after the bots attack, of course), even before the hold, so that the bots get just that little bit of extra -RES time to do more damage. Doing it in this order, I can take out a purple lieutenant (most of the time...some are more resistant to lasers than others...) before the hold wears off.

4) Neurotoxic Breath: [...] The cone is immense-, easily the broadest Ive ever seen, at a good 60 degrees.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, Terrify probably has the largest cone in the game, seeing as how you can hit enemies you can't even see with it...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes.
NB seems to be quite a wide cone, but also quite short...I don't know if I'd say 60 degrees, but definitely not a line, either
Terrify does seem to be the widest cone in the game, personal experience putting it very close to 180 degrees, but it is, like NB, quite short.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why would you lead off with NB? that is suicide, what i do is target the biggest baddy in the mob and hit em with weaken which often causes them to miss me even if they do get an attack off before i jump outta site. this brings one to all of them at me and i instruct my ninja crew to "attack my target", which totally hammers the baddy who runs after me. If more than one come at me i hit NB (after my initial weaken pull and attack target instruction) and make sure i cone most of em, while at the same time casting envenom on someone else and reaplying weaken or hitting someone else with it (on for example 6 aggroed minions) the Key is that when my pets are instructed to attack my target they usually take all the agro after my initial weaken pull. I find that sending in your pets without debuffing is a recipe for death and dmg of your pets and consiquently you will be healing and using a bunch of end. If one was to do what i just said but also add a poinson trap as security in case you do agro a huge mob, Im sure it would solidify the technique although i dont have PT yet as my ninjas/poison is level 33.
I would suggest to you all that crushing field in the dom/troller grav primaries could easily give terrify a cone width run for its money and i have/used both powers as well.
Question: Does anyone know anything about the changes to poison trap which took place after this review was written? My mm (ninjas/poison) is level 33 and I think PT and NG would be great additions to my melee oriented pets, which are much more suited to NG especially. -
couple of questions first:
Does weaken and envenom stack?
Antidote: Disorient, Hold, Sleep, Slow, and Immobilize effects and leaves them resistant to such effects for a good while as well as res to cold and toxic. Is it me or is this power the shizzle? i cant imagine not having this on say your jounin. Can anyone comment on this power in pve and pvp. From experience with other toons, slow and -regen powers in pvp are the bomb. Would this not be a huge help in pvp and pve?
pvp: does anyone have anything to add to pvp info or recommend a ninja/poison guide? I have a 33 nin/poison and i am going to be pvp ready at 38 (WB). I saw a /poison mm own a tanker in RV. He had no fitness, and he took conceal, medicine, leaping and leadership. Just wondering what peeps had to say about this topic.
comment: I have leadership as well, seems very great for mm's -
I totally agree, i need blaze, but i will take it a 41 because as you know, blaze gets nerfed in WB because we are made to be level 38 toons in WB which mean blaze would be one slotted unless i missed something but i think im right. I totally intend to take blaze next and i agree it is a must have.

Mind/Fire dom:
forget that im taking fitness, leaping, medicine, and leadership. I am also (at 38) taking mez, dom, tk, terrify, and mass confusion as primary and flares (sob), fire blast, fiery embrace, consume, and blazing bolt for secondary.
Here is why: mass hypnosis., and total dom dont do so well in pvp i find cuz of acc check, duration and recharge. fire breath is slow anime, incinerate is melee range danger, combustion is blah, short range, and blaze is only good in RV because of the level 38 spawn in WB. IM taking Mass confusion for masterminds despite the prevalence of tactics, many cant fit it in until after level 40. I also want more than one true click aoe. Consume is for end because i dont always get dom up quick enough for end recharge and i will have some toggles. I have heard fiery embrace and blazing bolt are very big dmg so i thought to take it for an openning attack and maybe a post held toon attack.
Any one care to comment? -
I agree with everything here for the most part. I would suggest though that crushing field is a big part of my toon (43 grav/ff troller) and my friends (47 grav/psi dom) We both think that with this power which as a short recharge, short animation, large radius that will hit npc baddies quite a distance from your target out the corner of your eye(aoe). I find that ill walk up to a mob and the nastiest of them get grav. dist. single target, then i hit the crushing field and every one is pissed (lets say 3 orange one red and i hit the red first) then i -tab-, GD again, -tab- lift, -tab- propel and then i hit crushing field again, personal force field and let my (bubbled) singularity take over while i heal self or wait for some more end. A bubbled sing is nearly invincible. Then at this point if you didnt use wormhole at the beggining its up, so i drop pff and worm hole the group and you know its gonna hit them. They will be disoriented and you can repeat the process. This also works with bosses. My points is you can really control and keep the mob your fighting where you want them with this power because its always up. I slot crushing field for 3 acc (2 if you have tactics) 1 slow, 1 immob. and 1 reduce endurance (very important it costs 15 end) and enjoy. The containment from this will work wonders for you and your singularity. I found myself pwning bosses with this build on invincible and although its tough to kill in PvP your survival even against several opponents (WB)is much higher that most other squishy or even non squishy sets. The forcefield is great for pvp and i agree with most of what you said. I would say however that force bubble is the bomb in PvP, only ranged can do anything unless they have repel resist (energy aura)I recomment heal self either for pvp or pve, it can be used in your pff to your enemys displeasure.

I hope you figure that out, with my nb/ea stalker i stand toe to toe with tanks and drain the crap out of their end. I dont always win but man i have had some long scrappy battles.
-
I have no idea what you are talking about saying that stalkers are dead after an assasination if they dont kill: retsu, overload, and elude etc. are for this very issue. Also regen and nin has heal and my dm/nin has two heals so the fact remains that scrapping is not an issue, and -acc (stacked) is obviously not part of your consideration.
-
I cant help but think that snow storm has been useful for me in pvp with the -fly toggle which stays on em.
-
can someone direct me too a ninja blade/ea pvp guide that is post I8 friendly, I am in the process of tweeking my guy to encorporate heal self and i am gonna ditch my pet and repulse toggle despite its potential for pvp. Why? cuz the only thing which my toon lack other than psy/fear defense is a heal, and I think this will really turn the tables on pvp.
-
Still looking for that I8/9 compliant grav/ff giude........
PVP update....People this toon RULES for PVP, I have key pvp powers force bubble (which keeps melee toons out of range and sends them flying)...I bubble my singularity then personal ff and heal self (very important) when im getting low on health, which btw allows me to take on ~4 guys at once only spines impale gave me any sort of trouble because of the -fly (when pff was not up of course, this just grounded a slowed me a bit nothing major...fly im still not sure about as a travel). Planning on taking tactics so i can see hidden stalkers get hurled out of range. I cant stress to you how good force bubble is for pvp and pve, i respeced out of repulsion field because eventually the draining of end for each knockback will get to you. WIth force bubble you could kb a stadium full of toons and its all the same end. As far as i can tell gravity is one of the least resisted powers out there, I dont know of anyone who has resistance so my primaries mess people up and the containment dmg is nice. Wormhole is great for tping toons right into your control range so a potential pvp chain... worm > holds > force bubble {launches (held maybe) toon} > (containment double dmg) propel > holds > propel... Very good pvp toon and if you happen to end up on a pvp team your bubble buffs with tip the scales of the battle as everyone knows deflection and insulation shield are uber powerful. Watch out for Living Aether on infinity server in WB and RV. -
Are there any I8/9 compliant grav/ff guides out there?
-
I have a mind/fire dom, he is at level 38. I have not used him for pvp yet but plan to after I respec into leaping. I have most of the powers you suggested and was wondering if you could recommend a patron power or skipping it and taking another pool power? I have medicine, hasten (speed), fitness, and leaping will shortly replace fly, my pve travel which i mainly took because of my wings. (SORRY GOOFED)
