I wanted to get 5 (6 now) friends together and have us each hold up the scorecard emote to display the number of an arc for people to try. The idea was that we would advertise one arc for a while, then switch to another. At first we would advertise our own arcs, but we could take requests or even use the mechanism in various contests.

Are the tickets that you get from playing an arc the same as the tickets that the creator gets from other people playing and ranking their arc?
If they are the same, that means that someone with a popular arc can make thousands of tickets without ever playing the game -- tickets that are valid to exchange for valuable items.
If they are different systems, that means we have yet *another* form of "currency" in the game: inf, prestige, vanguard merits, reward merits, player tickets, architect tickets. -
Can a "published" arc be edited by the owner? If so, does the arc's rating and status get reset? It would be frustrating to have a glaring tyop in the dialog and be unable to fix it without losing all the ratings. However it would also be bad to take down and significantly change a well-regarded arc without affecting its rep.

And add me to the list of people who believe that after 60 months the developers need to do away with veteran rewards, or at the very least move to a 6-month or 12-month reward structure. It is getting ridiculous that we expect the developers to come up with fantastic, wonderful rewards every three months. Can you imagine the uproar if the developers announced the 63- and 66-month rewards were costumes and tailor tokens like the 15- and 18-month? Move the rewards to annual and they can make each one special.

This seems to be a common misconception. There are only three tiers of pool powers: the first two are are tier 1 (Hover and Air Superiority, for example), the third is tier 2 (Fly), and the fourth is tier 3 (Group Flight).
[/ QUOTE ]
If this is true then no one would talk about "Tier Nine" powers in the primary and secondary sets. Clearly "tier" in CoX context does not mean the number of steps necessary to choose the power. It means the number of the position of the power in the list of powers. Swift is a tier 1 power that you can choose at level 6. Hurdle is a tier 2 power that you can choose at level 6. Health is a tier 3 power that you can choose at level 14 provided you have either the tier 1 or tier 2 power already. Stamina is a tier 4 power that you can choose at level 20 provided that you have two powers from tier 1, 2, and 3 already.
Per Castle: This vet reward will allow you to choose a tier 1, 2, or 3 power from a Travel pool at level 6 without any prerequisites. The tier 4 power prerequisites have not changed. -

whats up with the reciepi drops ??? Its like you folks have taken up a policy to not give anything good away.
One the coolest things about this game was you could play and get blessed with a 40 million inf purple to sell now you guys have gone out you way to stop that
[/ QUOTE ]
Recipe drops haven't changed. Purples still drop (I got one last night). Mobs still drop Pool A recipes. Missions still award Pool B recipes. Task forces and Trials award enough merits to get a random Pool C or Pool D recipe -- except Cap, Katie, and Eden. In fact, many trials and task forces now award enough merits for multiple recipe rolls. -
I wonder if it is possible for a single power pick (pet upgrade) to give you two actual powers (group upgrade and single upgrade) with two icons.

Build Up power not granting full buff
Server: Virtue
Zone: Various - non PvP
Character name: Gas-Soaked Rag Man
Time: various
Location: N/A
Mission: N/A
Mission Contact: N/A
Bug Description: My level 46 Fire/WP scrapper is having a problem with Build Up. He is getting only 46.4% damage boost from it, rather than the normal 100%. The To Hit component is unaffected, and he still gets the expected 20%.
When build Up is triggered, the damage monitor shows his damage bonus going from 3% (from IO set bonuses) to 49.4%.
He is not (and never has been) in a PvP zone. This happened in a mission, in Peregrine Island, in Orobouros, and in Talos.
A few people in the channel mentioned that they were experiencing a problem with build Up giving lower than expected damage bonuses, although no one mentioned a bonus as low as 46.4%. Others were seeing between 60% and 82%. I did not gather their AT and level information.

I love these events, but it would be SOOOO much better if it was an actual ... surprise!! no announcement on the boards posting future dates, or a reminder it's this weekend. I mean really, even if we had rikti spies get us the info, you'd think they'd be smart enough to change their plans...
[/ QUOTE ]
When they make these events a surprise, people complain that they missed an opportunity because they had other plans. With advance notice they can arrange their schedule to not miss the event. -
My only complaint about the costume sets option (and it is a minor one), is that a fairly obscure costume/pattern combination that I use on one of my favorite heroes is now a set. I've never before seen a hero with my costume, and yesterday I saw three -- one of which had the exact same coloration. I was a little peeved. But then I decided to think of it as SexyJ's homage to ME! He saw ME and thought I'd make a good model. That made it better.
I won't say which one -- I can just imagine the replies of "Oh I've been using that set for years!" -

Similar in concept to our character creator, it allows you, the players, to create missions and story arcs for your characters and others to participate in. Youll be able to pick the map, villain group, and objectives, as well as write the dialog and any clues needed for the missions. When you are satisfied with it, you can upload it and have other players across all servers play it and rate it.

WHOA.
Lois, this is NOT my Batman glass.
What were you talking about? user-created content? Freakin' sweet! That's one of the things I am looking forward to most in Spore. They are releasing the creature creator this summer, which will allow players to create a universe of life forms so when the full game is released in September your new life won't be alone. -

For all of that, I gained 2 levels on a Brute (23-25), 1 Level on a Controller (14-15) and 13 levels on a Defender (19-32.)
I did not do any task forces, and did almost none of my own missions, spending most of the time sidekicked to level 38-40ish mentors doing their missions (My SG was trying to get a bunch of characters to 39 for the Eden Trial.)

That's a lot of detail, Castle. Someone could figure you out... -
Hi, Eric Stratton, Rush chairman, damn glad to meet you.

I got BadStorm's avatar as the first result as well.

CoX uses the term "critters" quite a bit to refer to targetable NPCs. Specifically, the "effects" section of a power (as reported in City of Data) uses the term exactly as shown in the guide: if (target = critter). Arcanaville (who is cited in this report) also uses the term. Do a search for "critter" on these forums and you will find it is very common.
I thought this was a very clear and concise guide that explains the differences between attack type and damage type. Yes, if a player doesn't understand the difference between defense and resistance, it is more complicated. However, the answers are out there.
