wassy doesnt venture out of this place. thankfully as well, if she found herself in the villain / hero culture forum (fancy name for entertainment in general forum for those who haven't been in there) I dare say she would kill somebody.

I can think of something easily that would fit the image in question, I just dont want to subtract from the image to force it into the olympics theme. I have another purpose for it.
but I think I have come up with idea 4... -
I have been through atleast 3 wips. 1 of them was too complex to complete in the time allowed. the 2nd I liked too much to force it into the olympic catagory, the 3rd I dont like and now I am trying to get it together for a 4th crack at it.

I can see how it could come across as an unpopular stance as a collecter, but as bayani knows I can see the reason for it and I can support it. bayani takes collecting very seriously and strives to get better and better pieces that fit the way he sees he's characters universe, he also looks to keep he's gallery suitable for all ages. when you put so much effort into creating more then a gallery but a world that is exactly how you want it and someone comes along and draws something that you dont think fits and that will subtract from that world you were building then it would get you pretty down, So I understand the stance on giftart, guilt would make you feel like you have to show every piece you have been given even if it is dumpy or out of character, but in your head you'd be conflicted about it because you are adding this element to this world that is not reflective of it at all. so I understand that entirely and I think if others can see it that way it is not offensive he doesnt look for the girft art he gets, he stays well clear of the request threads and advertises on he's DA he doesnt want people to draw bayani without he's permission I think folks should respect that.
Honestly I don't think anyone goes to the effort that Bayani has to continue getting art of a high quality and in such a quantity and I dont mean that to offend anyone's galleries but having worked with him I know how much input he likes to have on a pieces development. while TA takes everything and will put it on display, which from an outside perspective could drag peoples opinion of he's gallery down if one was being honest, but I can see that to alot of folks getting art as a gift from folks can be sentimental in which case making the picture valuable just for the meaning of being gifted it by someone for nothing.
I can see art from a the more commercial angle as well as the sentimental side, being both an artist and a part time collector/creator. I've gotten to the point where I have seen enough people do average work on my characters (some folks I have even paid for) I am pretty much at the point where I will be looking to only give referances out to someone I think has the ability to pull it off and being involved in the creation process aswell
