If you solo a lot, then Shadow maul is quite a nice attack to have. You can take that second to line up 2-3 mobs to hit them, its good for bosses and just when you want to get scrappy. Yes it has its downsides and is especially annoying when you miss, and yes, if you really are tight for space in your build, It is possible to skip it once you are past 32 and get the awesome MG. But I have it on my stalker, and like it...when it hits.
As for Patrons, I love my ranged blast and hold. A stalker with range and a hold is a scary thing, even in PvE. -
Thats pretty much my build!
Not sure you would need the extra Tactics though. -
I find this strangely interesting.
Hero side it would have to be Talos. Auction House, easy acces to Green line/base portal, access to PI ect, fave place to go for invasions, also hunting BP Spirit masks, close together shops when in lvl range and its pretty.
Vill side it would have to be Cap, but then its pretty much designed to be the central hub of the Isles as you can get to every zone (apart from the PvP zones and PD) from it. It has everything you need, and if it doesn't have it, then it will take you to where you want to be.
Me thinks that the Market Houses have a greater effect on popularity of zones. -
Scuttle forth my spidery minions and go blast the **** out of stuff
WE it is then -
Well the stats on Mids for both:
WAWG/Web Envelope
End - 7.28 / 12.7
Rch - 30 / 20
range - 80 / 80
Cast - 1.87 / 2
Radius - 10 / 15
Duration - 20.1 / 20.1
So the WE is more end heavy, but has a slightly wider radius, and quicker recharge time with only a slightly longer cast time.
I just find the idea of using Bile Spray a bit..well...un- thematic. The idea of having an extra spider does appeal though, just for entertainment value, which is what its all about. This is a toon used for an all SoA team after all, not much stands up for long as it is, which is why im not that fussed about getting WAWG. Also, I'm not really intending to take any of the melee attacks, at least not yet, thats what the widows on the team are for -
I was looking at a Crab Spider build for my SG all SoA team so I'm buildling him slightly different to how I would normally. I thought it would be a lot of fun to get the pets, stay at range blasting and lobbing grenades. I then saw for Black Scorpion patron (who else could you have for a Crab?), you get more mace blasts, a web grenade that while heavier on end looks better than the WAWG, and a Boss level pet, giving me the same amount of pets as an MM.
So I'de like to know some views, are the patron powers worth it if I can fit them in? Would 6 pets be overkill? Is the Web envelope actually better than the WAWG?
Thoughts please -
My first 50 was my stalker, who dinged soloing a Malta boss from a paper mish.
My second 50 was my domi, who dinged on a LGTF from just a normal mob, but was with my SG.
My 3rd was my Troller who dinged from an AV during STF with my SG mates
My 4th was my Tank, who dinged after bashing Battle Maiden round the head with his glowey stick, also with my SG.
Will have to come up with a good way for my blaster to ding. He is 48 now! -
I finally did a sewer trial with my SG last night. We didn't manage to complete it in time, but at least it was different. Not sure I want to do it again though.

I've been here for 15 months now, and have done quite a few things, but what is still left to do:
-The Shadow Shard repeatables, but I have done most of,if not all the TFs
-Eden Trial
-Sewer Trial
-A base raid
-RP'd, but aint too fussed about that one
-Played a PB
-Played a WS past lvl 4
-Played a Brute past lvl 6 (I have played every other AT at least to the teens, all but a fender into the 30s)
-played a toon on Defiant past lvl 4.
-Hami, on either side
-
I think any guide posted up by Illusion Master/The Phantoms pretty much speak for themselves, and as said deserve a thread to themselves :P

I tend to have a basic set of binds for every toon, and then use the numpad to be more specific.
WASD to move around, often using r and f to target things or to run in a general direction.
Q = target enemy near
E = target enemy far (for cones)
then i use my numper keys to use powers with the most used in 1-5.
My numpad usually has a calling bind in numpad enter, and numpad0 is my most important power. So on my domi its Domination, my /Rad its Rad Aura, my dark its TG. my tank its taunt ect. The numpad 1-9 often get used for all sorts, from situtational type powers, to costume changes ect.
I also quite often bind x and y to the slap and smack emotes for when im bored.
I really should get a better keyboard and mouse, to make it easier to use all the binds i tend to set up. -
Plant is now very evil in pvp due to seeds of confusion and the change to how it works in pvp. It's naaaaasty.
-
Aye the blasters, and my self included, hated those evil Seeds of Confusion.
I'le be bringing the domi tonight, failing that, i'le bring my stalker
See you there Max! -

Hi Guys - havent posted in a while - but thought i would add my 2 inf on this one
what about applying a multiplyer to the debt equal to the number of people on the team.
so if you are soloing - you get the base amount of debt as it is now, if your in a team of 8 players - you get 8x the debt - after all you get xp 8 times as quick.
That way it will take you longer to get rid of the debt, and so make you more liable to not just rush in and die all the time
[/ QUOTE ]
Now THAT is an idea! I'de probably still rush in though...on my 50s at least -
If they increasesd the debt, I wouldn't play my toons how I currently do, like a complete loon.
When I wanted the debt badges, I just capped my debt from dieing constantly in SC to a mob and running back out again. Pretty easy to cap yourself like that.
Debt is pointless, I'le agree, and I often barely notice it. I think the Devs wanted to make it easier for people to hit lvl 50 and so get more out of all the end game content they are creating.
The idea of an inf debt is interesting, but how would you work it out? Lowbie toons might go broke from this, and players with huge amounts of inf wouldnt care. A percentage of the inf you have on you? I'de just leave it all at the BM.
I'm off to go play my toon like a loon, its more fun that way -
Elec/Elec
Another Blaster may be coming though, just not sure what! -
Illusion/Rad
Thinking of making a plant/ something though. -

Heya Max, that late night arena stuff was awesome fun, was so cool to see what my Domi was capeable of!
Fear teh Conuze -
Perhaps I'm not really a villain at heart after all...
-
Only thing i'de say about /Psi, is that it can feel like its a bit low on the damage output, and is a pretty slow starting set. And then you hit 38
-
I'm sorry you feel that way Claws, but if you take a look at our forum, we do have a set of rules posted up, and the time limit is 14 days now. The people who are past this time are those that have let us know they will be away from the game for an extended period of time, and asked if we can keep their slot.
With space very tight in the SG atm, spaces are being created only to be filled out straight away. The SG rules are up there for all to see, and we encourage our members to do there best to follow them, allowances are made when we are informed of an absence.
So im sorry if you did let us know you would be away from the game and u were kicked anyways, but the rules are there to keep the SG as active as possible. The rules can be tough on some players that have multiple alts.
So I hope you find a SG that better suits your play time, and isnt quite as stringent as we are.
