2. Exemplar effects only affect enhancements when exemped below level 32. At 35, you should still be seeing full enhancement value from your level 50 IO's. Set bonuses and global effects will not be available from enhancements that are more than 3 levels above your current combat level.

Set bonuses and global effects like LotG +recharge, or Steadfast Protection +defense are available so long as the IO is still within 3 levels of your combat level regardless of whether the power is available

Procs and effects of specials like the Numina's or Miracle uniques that require that the power be active are available as long as the power is available regardless of the level of the IO you're getting it from.

Hope that helps.

Any Mind Control/Illusion Control attack is untyped (ie not Positional), whereas Defender style psychic blasts arent.

If it involves whire radial circles, its untyped. If its got a pink projectile, its Ranged (or AoE for a cone)

The following common enemies use untyped attacks:
Tsoo Ink Men
Lost Rectors (I think - they use a bit of both)
Rikti Mentallists
Carnie Illusionists (but not Ring Mistresses)

Don't forget Council Vampyri (Lieutenant and Boss only), and I believe 5th Column Vampyr Mesmerists (minion version).
4. I'm going to post my current plan to see what kind of comments I get for it. This is a respec build, not a leveling one, so it may not be the best for actually getting to 50. I do, however, slot level 35 IO's to give me reasonable ability to exemp.

Balance: Positional defenses only exist as a set IO buff with 5 or 6 of a set, compared to non-positional defensive buffs that don't stack with SR's defenses - Arcanaville, 2007-04-05

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this not resolved now that IO set bonuses for non-positional defense give half bonus to a positional defense?

eg. Thunderstrike's 2nd bonus is 2.5% Negative/Energy defense AND 1.25% Ranged defense.
6. Not sure what kind of issue you're experiencing binding the decimal key... if all else fails, perhaps try /bind decimal nop, then /bind decimal powexecname Sonic Haven.

The quotes are only necessary if you're adding a second command to the bind, or sometimes if you need to add an argument that has a space in it.
7. Sonic1.txt

numpad0 "powexecname Sonic Barrier$$bindloadfilesilent sonic2.txt"

Sonic2.txt
Code:

numpad0 "powexecname Sonic Haven$$bindloadfilesilent sonic1.txt"

This should work if you put both Sonic1.txt and Sonic2.txt in the \piggs folder of your CoH directory, otherwise you would need to specify the path.

For me, I think I'd just bind the DECIMAL key to cast the other shield.
8. Worst I've had was on the Mender Silos arc. Level 51 Jade Spider.

We got the cutscene where the fortunata spouts on about the powerful Jade Spider monster thing, and then trembled in fear as it proceeded to run around the map for a half hour while my teammate and I, and a couple of hero pets chased after it - I don't know if it fired more than a dozed attacks during that whole LONG time.

I at first had it debuffed with Darkest Night, but after a while, I shut that off, since it didn't seem to be doing any good with the Spider not attacking. Turning off the debuff, not dropping Tar Patch, not using Fearsome Stare... no change to the AI.

All in all, that was a very frustrating and un-fun experience.

Just wondering but my account says
Total Paid Time: 4 Years, 0 Months
Veteran Rewards Time: 4 Years, 3 Months
but i didnt get my reward yet has this happened to anyone else?

[/ QUOTE ]

As I recall, the paid time does not include free months from purchased boxes.

I bought CoH and CoV, but not the GvE edition, and my paid time is two months behind my veteran time.

How many packaged products did you purchase?
10. [ QUOTE ]
I used your suggestion for a single key with multiple binds to do something I've wanted for a very long time - a single key to toggle between Combat Jumping and Super Jump. Not exactly rocket science, but I'm a bind n00b, so thank you.

j1.txt file
[whatever key] "powexec_name Combat Jumping$$bind_load_file C:\whatever folder\j2.txt"

j2.txt file
[whatever key] "powexec_name Super Jump$$bind_load_file C:\whatever folder\j1.txt"
After entering "/bind_load_file C:\whatever folder\j1.txt" I was good as gold. One question though: is there ever any lag associated with loading bind files?

[/ QUOTE ]

Loading bind files isn't necessary for a toggle bind. I use:
[ QUOTE ]
/bind t "powexecname super jump$$powexecname combat jumping"

[/ QUOTE ]

Hitting "T" toggles between Combat Jumping and Super Jump (Combat Jumping activates on the first press).
