Well, looks like I can't see all the live GR stuff until at least Friday. Because my convenient pre-paid cc takes 3-5 business days to complete loading the cash onto it. What's even more frustrating was that on the bank's general help line, I was being told 2-3 business days, and I was told in-branch 24-48 hours. (Oh, but if I set up an account with them, I can get the funds transfered instantly onto the card. I left them 20 years ago because of lousy customer service, do you really think that this kind of runaround and conflicting information is going to make me want to set up another account with them?)
(And if anyone wants to know, it'll be at least 2 1/2 years before I can get a regular cc, because I had to declare bankruptsy over my student loans 4 1/2 years ago.) -
Anyone else having trouble finding the new Syndicate costume set or pieces? I've been going over things at the tailor and can't find anything.

As Kheldarn noted, even though you can select Freedom and Virtue they aren't working apparently since people can't get the characters to show up.
Thank for the info though. Pity I can't really participate in all the testing. I've been in beta for a while now and have been mainly working with the Praetorian content. Now I'd like to see how the epic/patrol sets work with the alignment switched characters but I don't have any characters high enough level on test -
When I attempt to use the Character Copy Tool, I receive the following message when selecting a server:

Oddly enough, I do not get this message when selecting the Freedom and Virtue servers. -
It looks like a pair of fire/dark corr for us!
Rerolled Dust Raven. He's a punk kid who turns out to have a natural link to the energies running throughout the Shadow Shard. He was born and raised in Paragon City but fled to the Rogue Isles when his powers got him a criminal record he couldn't easily hide from.
Strikeshadow rolled Kaudiru is a demi-shard creature, part human, part Shadow Shard. After being "rescued" as a refugee he met Dust Raven and helped to awaken his powers. He followed Dust Raven to the Rogue Isles mainly as a curiosity. -

I also like blasters, mainly because of the massive damage and the ability to deal it from way over here where the critters aren't.
As for sets, I like Dark anything (except Dark Armor). I'm fond of Fire. For blasters I really like Energy. For my melee defensive sets I like Willpower and Regen the most, followed closely by Invulnerability (I basically like all the sets I can turn off SFX for). I haven't played much with Shields but I don't much like it (mainly a fun thing, as I really love using emotes, and Shields kills that).
I'm intrigued by the idea of a dual corr team, especially the idea of two /Dark Miasma. Dark Miasma has got to be my absolutely favorite set in the game. Unless I have a concept which begs for something else, I will pick Dark Miasma over any other buff set.
I'm also liking the idea of a Brute/Corr duo, as I like Brutes. I'm still learning the finer points of managing Fury, especially on team. I've discovered if anyone has a -recharge debuff or controls, my Fury is a non-entity. So either I'm doing something wrong or that combo just doesn't work.

My partner and I are looking to start a new duo of characters. Only we're not at all sure what to try out. We'd like characters that are fun to play together more than anything, but are hoping to have something that also will allow us to take down AVs and mow critters down at near max difficulty.
I like melee types, Tanks, Brutes, Scrappers mainly. I'm not fond of Stalkers though. I can easily get behind a Blaster or Corruptor. I also really like the Dark sets.
She likes Blasters, Controllers, Scrappers and Corruptors. Not at all fond of MMs and Tankers. A huge fan of Mind Control and also likes Dark.
We both like VEATS and Kheldians but neither of us have much experience with them. We're also willing to combine hero ATs with villain ATs since Going Rogue is coming up.
Any suggestions? -

Sounds simple to some, others are baffled by how to do it. I found a happy little website which explains everything, includes screenshots (how ironic) and covers how you turn that shot into an image you can then share on these message boards.

It's that kind of talk too in there that ruins games for me. It shouldn't exist even though it does. It removes me from the moment, and the game itself. It sucks games like Horizons (Istaria or whatever now) have awesome communities that make you want to play the game, but the game itself is trash, where with this game it's great.. well was great, more like okay these days, and then there's those people in those channels that talk like jerks and ruin the experience completely. I feel saddened by it. There's one other game I won't mention, and the community is so perfect... if only the game would improve on a few things.
As for the "other game" not mentioned, if it's the one I'm thinking of, I'd have to agree on both counts. -

My son has just started playing the game and is playing on Triumph so I've rolled up a few toons to join him. Are any global chat channels centering around activity on Triumph where we can look for PUGs, TFs, Raids and so on, and how active might those channels be?

I'm looking for information about how exemping affects enhancement slots, enhancement bonuses and IO set bonuses. I seem to recall reading a guide on exactly this subject but can't find it (or maybe it was part of another guide about something else). Could someone please point me in the right direction?
