Or why should one buy a release on Steam that costs the same as the disc-based release?
It seems to me big companies don't understand digital distribution

Take for example PS Store and GL:Emerald Knights...

The other day I bough the Blu-Ray + DVD in the special collection box which had a small Sinestro for $25... This includes several great features and a digital copy. The sinestro figure is what added the extra $5... If I didn't get that it would have been $20

I go look on PS Store and am confronted with several deals...

GL:EK - Collector's Set which comes with a thing for First Flight and the GL comic pack...whatever that is

    $25 for HD
    $19 for SD
    $25 for HD and SD

$20 for GL:EK HD with special feature

    GL:EK (no special features)
    $20 for HD
    $15 for SD
    $20 for HD & SD

OR I can rent that version
    $6 for HD
    $4 for SD

First Flight in the Store is the same price as EK...

These are in no way competitive prices and if you're buying from them you are getting ripped off as you aren't getting all the features you should be getting for that price and there is nothing that makes it up
  2. I bet they won't fix Tim's origin which makes no sense in canon which is the only thing wrong with him thus far.

Krona is the top scientists of the race that the guardians are. He tried to find the secret of the beginning of the universe which was prophesied to cause a massive disaster when someone did see the beginning of the universe.

He accomplished it and was banished... he has come back several times and been captured, locked away, and banished several times...

Among other things he is the one who created the technology of the GL rings, created the lanterns, and has recently taken over the entities and the guardian and merged them... and taken over the GLcorp...

Currently there is a massive event happening in the GL books that many are ignoring where in the Earth GLs have all had to take the rings of other corps cuz their leaders have been put out of commission and the GLC was mind controlled...

Basically Krona is a good guy in a way...he thinks the Guardians have lost perspective and wishes to over throw them and put in their place the Earth GLs.

In other words...Krona = one of the most important characters in DCU history being the trigger of CoIE, the trigger to creating the various corps, and the trigger to the whole Blackest Night thing by proxy of causing the Red Lantern's sector to be decimated by the Manhunters.
  6. Got it, wasn't as good as I thought i would be, but still a great movie.

Extra are good as all DCAU movies are but the animated episodes chosen are lacking... they give 1 small clip of a B:B&B ep and an episode of B:B&B who mainly focuses on BLue Beetle instead of GLs...

Sinestro is a GL in it which is confusing because Sinestro falls within the first week of Hal joining the GLC...If they took him out it would be better., especially since his prssences serves no purpose.
  7. Is it just me or do all the female characters seems to have smaller breasts?

I've been subjected to him for 18 weeks thus far reading DCUO: Legends. He is god awful and the art while tolerable from a aesthetic point of view it is bad for a linear art point of view and that could be due to the writer or artist...

Also... just about all western comic art is bad...they try to make them more anatomically correct and they almost all fail in one form or another. It's just a matter of how bad and to what extent... and let's be honest...badly drawn feet isn't really a major issue

Seems odd that she's the only Kane/Cain not related to a Bat as far as I know. Every single other one is... Also I don't follow slade so obvious as to why I didn't know the name.

btw,,,almos all the 3 issue mini stories seem to happen before flashpoint rather than during or as origins

Harley is far more appealing as the incredibly smart yet ditz with a psychopathic obsession with the Joker that makes her due sick things to impress him, but in general is a good person at heart.

To make her "just a psycho" is just a total disservice and throws out her base character in effect making her some other character.
  13. Prologue:

    The Flash 9-12 -
Barry Allen from an alternate universe arrives and seeks out an anomaly that uses the Speed Force
Prof Zoom is shown to be able to manipulate personal time as well as travel through time and is the one responsible for Barry's mother being killed.

Time Master: Vanishing Point 1-6 -
    Haven't read this...

    Act One:
    Flashpoint -
Barry Allen wakes up from sleeping at his desk and is asked about the "Miss Alchemy" case while in the background is reports of Citizen Cold (Captain Cold), a hero, doing battle with The Pied Piper. He tries to race to the scene, but finds he is lacking his powers when he trips down the stairs and runs into his now alive dead mother.

Switch to Gotham where Batman is chasing Yo-Yo (Harley Quinn) to get info on Joker who has Kidnapped Judge Dent's (Two Face's) children to the ledge of the building around Crime Alley. She refuses to talk so he throws her off the building, presumably killing her. Cyborg and a group of metas try to form a group to stop Wonder Woman and Aquaman who have taken over various parts of Europe.

The group of mutants consist of the Secret Seven - Rac Shade and Enchantress (not familiar with them to say who they all are but I'm pretty sure they are not the names listed in the other comic), The Outsider (presumably Luthor), Citizen Cold (Captain Cold), Sandman, Green Lantern (Abin Sur), The Marvel Family (all combine into Captain Thunder), Element Woman (?), The Pied Piper, Farooq (possibly Static?).

All goes well until Batman declines and the others say without Batman they're out.

Barry Allen, trying to figure out what has happened goes to Wayne Manor to find it broken down and the entrance to the cave open where he finds a desolate cave with a small lab and a picture of the Wayne Family. Batman returns and messes Barry up a little. It is revealed Batman is Thomas Wayne and Bruce instead got killed in crime alley. Barry tells Bruce he comes from a timeline where Bruce survives and becomes Batman and Thomas wants that and is willing to work with Barry to get that world back... but first Barry has to get his powers back. He tries to replicate the experiment that gave his powers but appears to be burnt up and killed instead.

Slade and some pirates I think sail to close to Paris and are boarded and killed by Aquaman.

Steve Trevor makes his way into Amazonian territory looking for Lois Lane, who has been feeding Cyborg info undercover, to get her out of enemy territory... Presumably he is killed.

    Batman Knight of Vengeance -
Thomas has apparently become a Casino owner, Dent a Judge, Penguin one of Wayne's operators, Gordon apparently knows Thomas is Batman. Hush, Scarecrow, and Ivy have all apparently been killed by Batman... while Killer Croc is killed in the comic with a machete to the head by Batman.

    Abin Sur -
Abin is approached by Sinestro to work together to try to stop the Black Lanterns and Manhunters who have taken over a number of sectors. The guardians decide to send Abin to earth to retrieve the White entity from Earth.
Abin Sur tells the ring to find a suitable replacement if he dies while crashing the ship.
It's revealed Atrocitis killed William Hand who let Nekron into the world.

    Secret Seven -
Rac Shade's Madness vest merged with him and he apparently killed the original Secret Seven, revealed to be... Black Orchid, Trigon, Klarion, Simon Magus, Stiletto, Miss X, and Rac Shade...
The other character talked about in this comic is Enchantress or June Moone... and/or possibly Nightwitch? It's rather confusing to me.

    The World of Flashpoint -
Traci 13 and her family live in france before Aquaman flood it. She uses her power to teleport her father away right after her mother precogs it and says its not her fault that she doesn't save her mother and brothers... They skip ahead to Traci 13 and her father living in a secluded HIVE Base and her being more powerful now...

    It's revealed that...
Jay Garrick as flash never existed.
First encounter with aliens destroyed Metropolis
Wonder Woman and Aquaman were to be married but it degenerated into war between the two groups.

Traci returns to the HIVE base in the war room to discover a plan to launch a space based weapon at Aquaman and WonderWoman to end them which would cause something like 118 million deaths... She hides as the leaders come into the room

The various "nations" leader are revealed and they vote on whether to use the weapon or not...

China - August General - No
Russia - Red Star - No
Egypt - Ra's Al Ghul in Damian's body - Yes
Japan - Dr. Kimiyo Hoshi (The good Dr. Light) - Yes
Saudi Arabia - Naif Al-Sheikh (no idea who this is) - No
The US - Adeline Kane - Yes
Germany - Captain Nazi - Yes
South Africa - Impala - No
Kahndaq - Prince Osiris - Yes
    ??? - 13's Father - Yes

    Revealed Atlanteans kill Isis

Traci 13 tries to stop them, defeating Osiris, but is ultimately sedated and the weapon is activated...

Comment - Adeline Kane... Kane's are related to the Batfamily either by blood or by story. This character is as of yet unheard of, but I'm betting she has something to do with the Batman story.

    E = 0.00000000000000000000000000167 kg * 90,000,000,000,000,000 m2/s2

    E = 0.0000000001503 kg*m2/s2 or 1.503E-10 Joules

Hardly a firecracker. In fact, I doubt it would even be measurable by anything but the most sensitive of equipment.
    Sorta right...

If I'm reading your math right...

1 hydrogen atom = 1.5 Joules of energy.
According to wiki a joule is equal to the kinetic energy of a tennis ball moving at 23 km/h (14 mph)

In a matter/anti-matter reaction we are releasing the energy of 2 atoms which makes a simple 1 atom anti-matter weapon = 3 joules of energy.

Or I would think... 42mph tennis ball.

That's enough to sting someone decently... if we're talking 2 or 3 atoms then that be an 84 or 126mph tennis ball...

So if you could deliver that in rapid succession you'd have a non-lethal anti-crime weapon. that isn't dangerous

edit... well the weapon itself wouldn't be dangerous... where ever you buy or store the ammo might be...
  15. Blame all the bad costume decisions on Jim Lee as he's apparently the one that redesigned them all

Tim's costume has me torn... I like it, but he chose that costume, name for a reason, and he chose the full cowl for a reason and with switching the costume it makes the journey lose meaning. However I do like the costume and shows an evolution in his costume design.

The smoggy girl character in the titan's pic could be Secret for Young Justice

Wonder Girl's costume looks like a gypsy costume, meh.

If Barbara Gordon takes back over the mantle of Batgirl because she can walk now...I'd be pissed. She stopped being Batgirl before she was shot and it would be wrong to just take it from Stephenie...which implies either the writers don't those stories and/or Something bad is going to happen to Ms. Brown...again.

-copy paste forgive the bold- Strongest positive reviews since X1 and yet the worst opening of the franchise, lower even then the hulk, speculations as to why.....?

    .
because even though reviews are generally positive all of them pretty much say the same thing. It's a confused vibe movie that doesn't stand out but doesn't suck either.

Because most art in the western comic industry sucks... Really he's not as bad as people make him out to be when compared to other western comic artists.

or 596 quadrillion atoms to vaporize a person
    or 222 micrograms of antimatter

    if i did the math right...which i probably didn't.

basically 40 megajoules of energy to vaporize a person
180 petajoules in 1 kilogram worked it out from there...

1 atom of antimatter would be enough to create a fire cracker amount of energy. It'd sting so it'd make a decent weapon. 2 or 3 more would likely be enough to disable a person for a bit.

An important thing to remember with Superman is that even if you can equal him in every facet physically his brain still operates faster than yours so it is a necessity to have AI and/or train your body to move at the instinctual level and to self induce the "flow" state. you can only equal Some Supermans in this aspect with real world devices (as far as we know) by tons of martial arts training, multiple AIs in the suit, and a neurologically linking system...

Depending on what superman we're talking about we can only accelerate to a certain point before it no longer is capable of keeping up no matter what.
