for some reason my start button menu wont let me right click any icons or drag and drop items into or out of it. any one have any ideas? I ran scans from AVG, Ad Aware and housecall (trendmicro.com) and no viruses or anything.

wouldn't it be great if CoH put in its own version of mids hero planner? you could build your character at a special building and you could have two options IF you chose to use it.

option 1 when you lvl you could have your powers automatically chosen for you as well as slots. but its still up to you to enhance them.

option 2 when respecing you can use your build to auto fill in power choices and slotting for you.

you would still have to actually buy/craft what ever the enhancements though.

What I don't understand is why NC didnt make a bigger deal about it. I myself only run the arc when a toon needs too for thematic reasons which isnt as much these days with vet and booster options available.

I didnt know a thing about the change till i happened to run it on a toon for the first time in months. if fact the forums is the only place that knew anything of it. all my friends thought it was either new content or a bug leaked content

I just happened across the arc getting Hero 1's letter and it was all new to me (granted I am not prone to doing the related arc so it threw me for a curve). My question is how do you get to unlock the other letters? can you do them all on the same character or is it a random letter from the same arc (I'm intentionally not saying what arc I did to get the letter least I spoil anything for any one)

ironic that you have to turn off gaming mode to fix that problem. The others on those forums werent having the exact same problem I am but time will tell if that fixes it. thanks

Grandma's Boy is by far one of the funniest movies I have seen in ages. I would recommend it to any one who isn't easily offended. I would love to have some red name take on the movie he he. mainly because of the game development work environment. allot of the things in the movie about what it is like in the work environment are pretty realistic with the exception of employee behavior.

nothing like that, keyboard works fine and thats the only thing that happens, it is completely random but I notice it most when it does it while im watching movies. when I watch them I am not doing anything on the computer at all so its nothing on my end.

ok well not really, but if you watch the movie Grandma's Boy at exactly 12:01 (chapter 3) in there it shows lineage 2 and city of Heroes 2 on the dry erase board on the wall!

also I just spotted another CoH sighting in the movie. there is a CoH collectors edition box sitting on a shelf right next to a Guild Wars box in Samantha's office 34:17

Since the movie has been out a while I am sure its been seen before but hey, I'm an avid CoX fan and I just saw that for the first time lol.

I have had a weird issue with my comp for several weeks and nothing I do seems to be able to fix it.

The problem is that at seemingly random times my comp acts as if the esc. button has been pressed. my active window will stay up but be inactive. if I am playing CoX it will just deselect the window with out minimizing it. If I am watching a movie on Media Player it will switch from full screen to windowed mode. If I am writing an email or something it makes the "bong" noise like when you are trying to do an illegal action and are not typing in the window.

I have tried using Ad Aware, AVG and trendmicro's house call and none of them turned anything up. the task manager shows nothing out of the ordinary. whats going on??

something fun to do with ninja run.

go indoors and turn on a jet pack (I used the jump pack). turn on ninja run and just start jumping really fast. its like the Super Metroid space jump power!

the new event I feel is pretty well balanced and is basically ready for live imho. I only found two things that I would like to touch upon...

1. BUG this is a known bug any way so is rather besides the point. after being kicked out of the new Lord Winter realm (time runs out, not exiting on my own) after the zone loads that I came from originally I am imediatly dropped a long ways outside of the map. the zone itself is not visible but using way points it can be oriented upon. after traveling to the nearest way point the city remains invisible. /stuck fixes it.

2. aesthetics: when Lord Winter phases (at least on low graphic settings on my craptop) everything gets greyed out. the guy is made of snow. he has snow powers, it shouldnt be a grey snow storm. just looks real ugly. even yellow snow storm would make allot more sense than a grey out.

other than those two things, I say LET IT SNOW!
and to that end, can we get a version of the zones that is snowy? it is a winter event after all and its not in florida or arizona. even if its a new zone thats snowy all year round (permanently, not pocket D/ why does croatoa always get the snowmen?)

In keeping with forum trend of asking 2 questions and since I only have 2 at this time I must break rule number 1.

1. can we get the option of putting random (or not) NPCs in the maps reacting to whats going on? for instance, prisoners running around and fighting each other (for the Zig maps or any other) or random people running around in a panic in out door city maps.

2. I would like the option to place mission starting points on maps. for instance. instead of starting from the arachnos helicopter on the Zig break out map (why is a hero using a arachnos black helicopter?) Id like to start some where else, like in the jail working my way to stop them from leaving on the arachnos black helicopter.
