Why? Was the actress pregnant in real life? If so they could have simply killed off her character early on in the show and used the stones to have Chloe return to earth and study to be a medic. Then she wouldn't be a useless meat sack whose only purpose is to give Lt. Loser a booty-call. -
As of Justice when they come across the crashed space craft, it had been a month according to Rush. 3 episodes later and another month is added on as they go through the created system in Faith. in Sabotage, an estimated few weeks go by when they are just drifting in space after one of the hyperdrive engine blows up. Then they travel the gap at an even slower rate because of the missing engine.
The episode Pain was, while not in it's original spot, supposed to be in the new galaxy from the start. It just got pushed up one spot because the season finale was made 2 parts. That episode that it replaced is supposed to air sometime this season.
Overall, I don't think the writers had much control over TJ being pregnant. -
There was that really long gap that was skipped over when Destiny was traveling through the void of the galaxy.

If the stories were better written we'd probably be more willing to let things slide. For example I don't recall anyone complaining about how how nearly every group SG-1 and the Atlantis teams encountered always spoke perfect modern English.

I am planning to go see it Friday with a couple friends. Should be a fun time although I don't think I will be using that token I get. I am kind of disappointed that it is only Friday-Sunday except for Thanksgiving week and Christmas week seeing as I have a class Fridays from 1-5 and it takes about an hour to get through depending on traffic.

So it is a plot that they have had to use a few times. That is after all one of the big things they have to worry about. Looks like we will see a gate seeding ship next week which should be interesting.
Edit: In regard to the whole stranding them on a planet while Destiny jumps on. At least they didn't draw it out longer than they needed to with multiple episodes. -
I think this is only the second time that they used that plot. Last time it was because they got trapped in a tunnel and couldn't get out in time to reach the gate.

I have been seeing some of the crew post on twitter that this is an episode that would be good for new viewers to tune into as a first episode.

The movies are pretty much on hold right now partially because of MGM's current situation and because the direct to DVD market fell out after the SG-1 movies came out but they do have scipts for both Revolution and Extinction. We may get some indication of what is going on in terms of Atlantis around episode 15 when David Hewlett and Robert Picardo guest star. Because of their appearance and because of how Extinction has yet to be made, there has been some changes made to everything regarding Atlantis.

Blender does seem to be a pretty good 3D application especially considering how it is free and open source. It was the first program I started working with 3D in even though I never got that far. Maybe I will go back to it once I have properly learned Maya when I want to do some work that I can't do with the education version of Maya.

The new aliens will probably never help with something that major at any time since they have said that Destiny does have a purpose and it is something that could get everyone back home in the end.

The episode you are thinking of is "A Hundred Days" in which the gate was active when it was hit which created an iris type situation where the gate could still be dialed. To get through, a particle beam was used to clear an area so Teal'c could get through.

I wonder if all the ZPMs that the Pegasus replicators had or could make would be enough.

Apparently there is an actual mission for the Destiny crew that will be revealed early this season, might be episode 8. The magic aliens could be a part of that.

Out of all my friends, I am the only one that does not have an interest in seeing this movie. It just does not look interesting and I really didn't care for the version of the song Creep used in the trailer.

That was really great when Terry Crews was using the AA-12. If only the one in that popular future war simulator that came out last year acted like the one in the film in terms of rate of fire. It tends to fire extremely fast unlike what we saw. There was actually this one time where I saw Terry Crews here in California. He was at a resturant in the mall by me asking the front desk if they validated for the vallet parking which only costs $6.

I haven't really been a fan of Olivia for a while now although I am not really sure why. Maybe she just seems overly full of herself or something. A minor thing I noticed through twitter that bugged me was that she would post links to news articles that she would place on her own site.

The sad part is, we were probably one of the last places on the Internet that regularly watched and talked about Heroes. Now it is no more and in a few eons, people will back and think no one enjoyed the last 2 or so seasons of Sylar and company.

Going to see The Expendables first mainly because the friend I go see movies with has been waiting to see it for ages. Once I get back from a quick vacation the following week we will go see Scott Pilgrim though as he does want to see that now.
