Anyone know where the Cimmeroan tomb map with the water in one of the rooms is located? I only see one cim map under unique.
-
Quote:Yah i didn't see them in Civilians which was why I was hoping I had missed them.I don't recall seeing the "Fashion victims" in the NPC categories, course I haven't looked for 'em either. You can check the "Civilians" category, but I doubt they'd be in there. I don't have access to the game right now so I can't check. I'll check when I get home tonight.
Oh and the cimmeroan tomb maps with the water in them? any idea where these are? i've found one cimmeroan map under unique but it doesn't have the water in it. -
Thanks for the alternate idea/build there petsummoner, but I don't see tough/weave in that build. Still you have the caps around 50% which is great.

Hi there everyone,
I'm looking for the NPC's from the Twilight Son task force where you rescue Mandy/Candy Lebeaux and some models. Anyone know what category they're under if they're available at all? Also is this map available for our use? -
I am SO ANGRY at NCSoft's Customer Support I'm seeing RED!
Recently I joined a team to go do Hess' task force, once we gathered we found that no one could start it, so we all decided to flash back and do the preliminary missions to unlock Hess. Couple hours later we're finally doing Hess' task force and all is going well. At the end we fight and defeat Archon Burkholder and as we're racing towards the exit half the team gets a Mapserver disconnect.
We log back in, wait for everyone to get on, and turn in the mission ending the task force. Then we find out that some of us who mapservered, myself included. Did NOT get awarded our badge/merits.
SO I contacted support who immediately said "sorry cant find anything in the logs" but then another GM said "escalating to higher GM". I reply with a cut and paste of my logs with the timestamps showing the whole fight, Burkholder getting defeated AND my rewards, only to have the senior gm coem back and say "Oh we see you fought burkholder but there is no indication that you won". Yet people on our team GOT THE BADGE! and that can ONLY be gotten by defeating BURKHOLDER!
GOD THIS PISSES ME OFF! /sigh
I've updated the question with the pertinent parts of the log again and suggested they look at the badges of the other team members to see that they got them. I don't know why this is so difficult for them to figure out or find in the logs when they're in my logs and the other peoples logs. -
PP is half of stamina and health in one Power. You can slot what you can put into health/stamin into Phys Perfection.

Milady Knight
Thank you for the feedback!
I will be moving the extra slot from health into True grit and doing a miracle heal+miracle unique +numina heal+numina unique as you suggest.
I'm not sure about moving the extra slot out of true grit and putting the +3% def back into otws, though the idea of doing a secondary build for lower level Sking does have some merit to it. I could slot stuff up way more and ignore things that were higher then L32 or so, though that may need to wait till i've finished this build first. Either way I'll be putting a resistance into owts of some sort per your suggestion instead of the end mod.
I'll try the build with 3 oblits and if needed I'll spend more after I earn more and go with the alternate build I came up with, which I could post for people if they're interested. Just swapped a few sets around is all.
Thanks for the tips on the Cimmeroa spawns. I too tend to hit the healers first
SO far crafting/selling has been really odd. One day a recipe crafted is selling for 20mil and then 2 days later its selling crafted for 10mil. On a side note I am a person who loves to craft/create in mmorpgs and I LOATHE crafting IO's in this game. Its all a huge crapshoot and the market sucks....that is all. -
Hi FitsSimmons, thanks for posting an alternative with aid self. it really is tempting to pick that up for the lucky hits that get through.
Milady's Knights. Thanks for posting your ideas. I've read alot of your posts and builds and value your opinion.
The empty slot in health was for a +regen or a miracle Heal, just wasn't sure what i was going to do with it.
The steadfast res/def+3% was in true grit for when I exemp down as I'm trying to keep that in mind with this build with the new SSK system levels are going to fluctuate a lot so I'm trying to plan ahead. If i put it in owts (which is where it was originally and is a great place for one) if I sk below 32 i'd lose access to it as then I'd lose owts yes?
I've only kept parry, as silly as it is, because i like the backup safety of stacking the melee defense and it is a cool looking attack heh. However I could drop it for hasten if needed.
I do want to add 2 membranes to Active Defense in the future when I can afford to buy them as they are also running around 100mil or so per membrane :/
Some Questions
Will the lack of endurance reduction in Obliteration sets make an impact on a constant damage chain where you don't have to stop or worry about running out of endurance?
I could replace one oblit with scirocco, then I'd have to 6 slot true grit with numina's to keep myself capped (using a slot from health and the extra slot from headsplitter which would get the sciroccos set) and the makos with another touch of death. Then the steadfast would have to go back into otws. Just not sure that's really worth it. -
Quote:Heh this is a dream build I expect it to take me some time to build it up and get all the sets. I figured I better have a solid goal in mind as to what to aim for.Wow, you went from poor and with only generic IO sets in your last post to a really dueced out and on the expensive side build on this new one. Those three sets of Oblits, one TOD, set of PShifter, the LoTG recharges and the 3 slot Zephyrs are gonna run you quite a bit more than my sub 20 mill softcapped BS/SD build I suggested. Looks good, if you have any doubt how it will perform endurance wise try it out on test first. I always like my attacks six slotted so I might do slice and parry differently, but I haven't had parry in my build in a while so I'm not sure how I had it slotted.
Now I did do a ton of bronze ticket rolls. Been running missions/farms for a week now to keep gathering tickets. I've gotten lucky and gotten almost a full set of performance shifters, did get a +regeneration regen recipe which I crafted and sold for 70 mil to add to my 20 mil. I've also gotten 3 +3% steadfast IO's. Kept one for myself and crafted sold the other two for about 20 mil each give or take a couple mil. On one roll for silver or gold I got a numina +rec +regen which i've saved for this build. I ended up selling a TON of junk recipes to the vendor, but then I've been running 3 characters through these missions as the fancy takes me to play one. To save money I've used tickets for salvage too (8 tickets for a 1 in 6 chance at a common you need instead of paying 100k). Probably have burned through a good 40,000 tickets on bronze rolls and salvage.
The LotG's are going to take me forever to get :/ they're running 150 mil blueside. SO I figure they'll be the very last things I can slot but I wanted to make sure I had them planned out. So far I've not even started buying sets yet with my inf. SO it is going a bit slow in amassing the money needed but it is moving forward which makes me happy.
I'm thinking I'll respec into this build and use generic IO's in everything or SOs and just start to overwrite them as I get the new sets lined up.
Now build wise:
I'm so tight on slots that I'm not sure where I'd pull a 6th slot for a couple of the other attacks. I had to aim for lotg's in the future to help the recharge of everything so that I could do without hasten. I'm hoping the dps will be good enough and the endurance drain will be low enough that I can solo some AVs.
Problem is I can't copy to test and try it out without buying all of the sets first and going broke hehehe.
Anything else you can think of that I should change or add? Sets to swap out? Slots to move around? -
Hi again everyone!
I received a massive amount of help and great advice in this thread here. After the last couple days looking at builds and talking with people and a good friend of mine we've come up with this as a build. I was trying to meet the following critera:
To soft cap my positionals
To NOT take boxing/tough/weave
To not have endurance issues
To not gimp myself ^_^ damage wise
To have hover/fly in the build (blessing of the zephyrs of course)
If possible Aid self (though i dislike the pool)
If possible CP & Phys Perf (to help deal with end issues)
If possible hasten for a better attack chain and potential AV soloing (never done that post i5 and would like to)
Would like the +perception IO somewhere if room
I didn't have room for aid self/aid other sadly enough as I wanted to keep parry and buildup.
I didn't have room for phys perf but I think my endurance will be ok with this build anyway.
The lotg's will cost me a pretty penny but I'm making decent money on the market with crafting and selling so I'll add them as I can afford them.
I got +perception in tactics so I don't need the +per IO
I took maneuvers/tactics to also buff my party nearby and to help cap my positionals.
Any suggestions on what I/we (my friend) could do better?

Just did another small test with physical perfection on test. Figured I'd post the results here.
I copied over my character and respecced out of FA and into PP. I left all other slots the same and put the enhancers back in the same order they were in before the respec (print screen+picture viewer program).
Without phys perf I was able to do about 5 attack chains including buildup/active def/shield charge 2x before endurance got to about 10%. This is with the 3 toggles running.
I then did the above with tough+weave running and could only do this about 4 times. The attack chain was pretty much when something refreshed and once I'd hit 6 attacks I considered that one cycle.
With phys perfection with 3 empty slots and no tough/weave I was able to do about 7 cycles, this included one extra shield charge+buildup.
with phys perfection with 3 empty slots and tough/weave I could do 6 cycles.
With phys perf full (3 end mod) I could do 8 cycles with no tough/weave and 7 with.
these were rough tests and I stopped before tanking my endurance in all cases some cycles stopped with a tad more endurance then others. I was mainly looking at how long could i keep swinging without running out.
for numbers PP is exactly half of stamina fully slotted or 0.41 eps empty its half of that. It functions decently but really only fully slotted where its equal to roughly 2 toggles (.21 end each). This does help absorb the cost of our basic armor toggles, more so if you put 1 end red in each one or have sets that reduce this.
If you have sets that reduce end on the attacks and give you end bonus/recovery bonus' you probably have no need of this at all, unless you're using it for some sort of slotting fodder. -
Lots of good advice here! Thank you all for pitching in. I've looked over a lot of these and figured it may be better to state my goals with the character and see how I can reach them with everyone's input. I've looked at all the builds above and have a much better idea of what I can/should slot, just not quite there yet as to what I can drop/not slot as much.
Goals:
To soft cap my positionals
To NOT take tough/weave
To not have endurance issues
To not gimp myself ^_^ damage wise
To have hover/fly in the build (blessing of the zephyrs of course)
If possible Aid self (though i dislike the pool)
If possible CP & Phys Perf (to help deal with end issues)
If possible hasten for a better attack chain and potential AV soloing (never done that post i5 and would like to)
Would like the +perception IO somewhere if room
Also trying to avoid purple sets as they're way too pricy for me to buy currently.
I've about tripled my money with a good sale from a lucky drop recently and have about 60mil to start off with.
I have saved / gotten the following:
Gaussian Fire Ctrl - buildup%
Steadfast Prot -res/+3% def
Performance Shifter - +end proc
Kismet - +6% acc
Numina's - +regen/+rec
just having problems trying to get everything into the build. I don't mind dropping GC for all the stated reasons. I didn't take slash. I could drop parry if I'm softcapped but would rather not. I don't have whirling sword but could pick it up if there is room. Oh and I just hit 50 on a rikti ship raid today. -
it is a level 44 power choice, so you'll need CP or FA. PP itself is about equal to two normal armor toggles of end reduction if you 3 slot it with end mods from what i remember in the beta forums.

Quote:This I can answer for you as I have a dual blades/electric armor brute, whom by the very nature of my primary is very squishy as dual blades has no easy mitigation. 1 long activating kd, a kd that requires a 3 part chain and 1 ku thats also long activating...these tend to leave you hurting or dead when alot of damage is incoming. With Power Sink in Electric Armor, end won't be an issue, though I've never found it an issue with Claws anyway. The change of Conserve Power to Energize gives Elec Armor a nice heal/regen/recovery clickable, which can't be a bad thing for a resist set.
I know that Brutes have long disliked having to take the Medicine Pool for Aid Self, since Electric Armor has lacked any self healing, and it will be interesting to see if Energize patches that hole in the set enough to leave Medicine off.
All in all, I think Electric Armor and Electric Melee will be very popular.
Power Sink is a keystone ability of electric armor and used not only to refill your endurance bar but as damage mitigation by draining minions and lts down to about 10% of their endurance left, combine that with lightning field draining endurance and you can keep them pretty much empty. Slot for recharge and endurance mods.
Sooo I have the medicine pool and the only time I'm able to get to fire off successfully with alot of incoming damage/attacks is right after a power sink or if I manage to pull off the 3 combo kd. I have 2 interrupt reducers in it too.
Now I went on test and took Energize and 6 slotted it for health and recharge so I could fire it off roughly every 41-45 seconds or so. The up front heal is good and can't be interrupted. Healed me for about 780 or so, which is a good portion of my health. The regeneration wasn't quite as amazing but did make a difference for the next 30 seconds. So you'll end up with about 15 seconds of downtime with no small regen boost.
All in all I am going to respec out of the medicine pool to take Energize and never look back! I found myself to be less squishy on test then I did on live after adding Energize. Any set that has mitigation in its primary (easy kd, -tohit, etc..) is going to really get a lot out of Energize.
The only criticism I have of Castle's Implementation of it is that he Didn't move it down to L24 or earlier and moved something like Lighting Reflexes or Lighting Field into its place. Electric Armor needs the heal earlier for brutes. Tanks are getting it at like 12 or something, which is damn irritating for brutes. -
Quote:I did get lucky on an alt and either got a performance shifter +end on a random ticket roll or from a drop from soloing. I'll be slotting that in stamina for sure. I'll have to start doing more TF's so I can get a miracle +rec and toss a miracle +heal in health.Yeah dump FA at first opportunity for Tactics.
+Perception is good vs pesky smoke grenade.
Do things that generate Merits.
With about 250 Merits, get a Miracle +Recovery.
100 million is too much to buy one for if you've only got 20 million.
Then get a Performance shifter +End, with merits or cash.
Then you can start looking at sets.
This is what it currently takes to make Sword and Shield work endurance wise.
You should also get the PB attack.
Hitting 10 enemies with 1 attack is more efficient than hitting 10 enemies with 10 separate attacks.
Get several people with PB/AE attacks and you can start to mow through things.
The minions should not be high purples unless the group has lots of +Acc buffs to go around.
What is faster, killing 4 orange minions for 10 points of reward, or one purple minion for 5 points of reward, in the same amount of time?
Yeah I am actually looking at a respec to see what I can put in and what I can drop. I want to get rid of box/tough/weave and softcap with sets as a final goal. That will allow me to pick up the whirling sword, the new physical perfection which I'll 3 or 4 slot with end and a heal or a proc. As was pointed out to me in beta the problem with slotting phys perf with procs is if you exemp and lose the power which will be pretty easy to do as you can't pick it up till 44 due to being forced to choose CP or FA. I'll take CP instead of FA and look into the leadership pool for some +per, though I think I have a guassian unique IO sitting around that I could put in build up.
Question: does that unique IO work all the time or only when build up is fired? Guess I could copy to test and try it to see.
Quote:Your endurance problems will be nearly solved by the new Physical Perfection power. With the Miracle unique, Numina unique, Stamina, Physical Perfection, 2 Performance Shifter procs, and End Redux's in your attacks (if you slot sets, you'll get some anyway) you shouldn't have any endurance problems.
Quote:If to hit is really a major worry for you I'd put in a kismet unique. Costs no endurance and takes up one defense spot which you should very much have.
Thanks for the advice eveyone. I'll have to replan my build and use my alt build to start set slotting it. -
Quote:You gotta love 8 merit rewards for story arcs (multi missions)! why in no time you'll have 200 for a single recipe out of a full set you need /sarcasm.Also it's going to drive people back into the AE since Pool A/B recipes can be rolled there while Merits only allow for them to be purchased individually (at ridiculous prices).
Yah the merit rewards are still far too low for the non tf/trial person. Worse redside as there are fewer tf/trials that are short. ITF is the most popular it seems. -
I'd like to add Djeannie to team up with Grey Huntress

I'd be honored to get Djeannie into your queue if possible ^_^

if you're still taking requests I'd love to have one of Djeannie done.

Quote:Actually I don't run FA 95% of the time due to its enormous cost and I still have end issues.I was reading this thread, and I would also agree that Focused Accuracy is what's causing your Endurance issues. Try running missions without it on and see your performance. If your attacks are slotted well enough, then you should have no problems with endurance or your To-Hit. Most decent scrapper builds can get along fine with FA or Tactics.
all attacks have 2 end red in them.
all shields have 1 end red in them.
tough has 2 end red in it and is not run often at all
weave has 2 or 3 end red in it and is usually run along with the 3 other toggles in shield
stamina is 3 slotted.
and i'm still wheezing if not soloing or in a big solo fight near the end or dealing with a very tough boss / eb.
Quote:Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents... My Katana/SR tended to have endurance issues, but after setting him up with IOs, I now have enough accuracy to leave FA off, so it now just holds a couple of set bonuses and its a backup +to-hit if I need it. Plus, my IOs reduce the endurance drain of my toggles and attacks by much more than basic IOs. Conserve Power is invaluable to him too, and as such, I've taken Hasten to get CP up as much as possible, and of course Hasten boosts your damage output by quite a bit.
Miladys_Knight: Thanks for the info there, interesting stuff. I may need to frankenslot as you've shown till i can afford better full sets to get +rec and +def for softcap or close to softcap. -
This part here. Bad idea. Not all banes are going to take the mace patron pools, many don't even take a patron at all.

Quote:They'd have to set it so that if you swapped to a crab build whatever costume you were in would have its back item replaced. That's it. Had wings, now you have the backpack, had a cape, now the backpack.Thinking about it, it actually seems a bit more complicated than just setting it to check if you're using a Crab build or not. Since the backpack is a back slot item, it would overwrite capes or wings. So what happens if you're in your Huntsman costume, and forget to switch to a costume without a cape when you switch to the Crab build? For the backpack to turn on and off, and *not* wreck the costume, they'd have to include some way for the engine to keep track of what is "supposed" to be in the back slot. The only other possiblity is to allow the backpack to turn on and off, but keep the back slot locked if either build has Crab powers. (So you could do a Crab and Bane build, but your Bane can never have a cape. Ever.)
Conversly when you swap out of crab form you'd get your back slot item back. So you could have a bane cape on other outfits. -
Quote:thanks that link will helpGetting the Performance Shifter "Chance for End" PROC could help. It's probably the easiest quick solution I can think of. Last one I bought was 12 million altogether I think, including Salvage & Crafting costs, but it's probably gone up lots since then. Made a decent difference to my Fire/Rad controller and my Warshade.
After that obviously +Recovery sets. Not sure at all what ones would suit you best though. -
Fair analysis. I do like the +per it gives also, though that rarely comes into play in PvE, but yeah the cost is insane with it being weaker then it used to be.

Heh I have one of the accolades, i should have mentioned that, but not the other one. I'll have do to tina's stuff for that, thanks for the info. I'll check out those sets you mentioned too. Didn't think FA would be so bad with 3 end red in it. Will have to respec to conserve which kinda sucks cause i really wanted the +per for fighting arachnos. Hate being blind.
AE was for some tickets for common salvage as I have no desire to pay 50k for common salvage or go farm low mobs for it via oro. ^_^
