Edit: Just checked that thread. Interesting read. Lotsa numbers for comparisons. So forget my baseline, check out the thread! I have to do a few similar runs to those listed. But at first glance it does seem that confuse does yield signifcantly less inf. One example:
Influence from Kills : 19,928,944
Villains defeated : 1,104 (18.32 per minute)
117 Bosses
285 LT's
702 Minions
So less than 80% of critters yielded 280% base inf compared to my run. Ok, those were at +2 and included bosses so I have to get similar results to compare. "Now a boss is worth 7.94 minions" would mean above result would be comparable to approx 1900 critters with no bosses. Still quite a discrepancy (136% vs 280%).
Though base inf doesn't bother me too much, I'm in it mostly for the purples (and they do yield much more on the market). And turning off bosses yields more critters per minute so more purples too. Yay!
No offense but the Op asked for a good farming toon suggestion(7.5 million an hour is chump change).Yes, Fury Flechette doms have fallen that far. Roll a brOOt ,Op. There is no reason to farm with a dom anymore unless you just enjoy playing them. The enfamy or recipe yield per session to be earned playing other At's then dom's is self explannatory. BrOOt's kill more things and faster. Yielding more of both enfamy and recipe's.

Grrr.. you JUST figured out that turning off bosses means more kills which equates a higher chance for drops base on kill numbers vs time?
On a side note you can custom MA missions for any character to max out tickets expediently. I mean the caps so low now who couldn't? If you want to farm with a fire//psi make a custom mission. Cap out your tickets. Roll bronze 10-14 and 35-39. Get your recipes. Go sell em.That'll put you right up at 20-30 million an hour with the big boys on any AT you care to play. Voila!!! -
Pvpec was never a sanctioned or recognized group by the developer's except when it suited them. For the most part the Pvpec was abhorred by what would be considered the 'real" pvp community from it's inception. In my opionion the dev's have learned a valuable lesson . It's a shame that the curent Pvpec rep's have the burden of that legacy to bear but I agree with the Dev decision. Moreover,even in it's current incantation, most that pvp are not there doing it for a prize anyhow.
Good show getting this going ,Sillit and Co. Hope it ends in much fun for everyone! It's certainly a solution for nonpopulated pvp zones. Pay 10.00 per character to get to a server that has some action(give the game more money). I really hope this works and that you all avoid the migration to test for the reasons others have stated in the thread. I don't think the dev's ever imagined the test leagues and this is exactly what they want and a means to get PVP attention and if not improvements then at least concessions. Don't give up. Keep at it! -

Sounds to me like thats your and your friends problem. Anyone can step up to lead a hami raid. It isn't Wulf's responsibility to populate the damn thing. So far on Guardian he is the only one that has consistently provided successful raids for the server. People like to succeed. No offense,Kheldarn. Seriously? If you or any friends have interest in leading hami's. I feel 100% certain you will get help from Wulf and TA. I also know that if you contact raid leads from other servers via the forums they will be happy to help you as well. A few servers have multiple hami's weekly. In fact ? Those servers have multiple leaders that sometimes just run spontaneous hami's. Some raids take longer than others but practice and repetiton make for better raids over time. People get how to do all the roles and times get shorter. The fact about any 50 player encounter in any game is that you will need some people preset in a few roles until the majority understands the raid. That isn't elitism .. it's common sense.There is nothing stopping Guardian from doing the same as the servers with multiple leads. Every server doing multiple raids now had to take baby steps to get to where they are currently in terms of frequency and consistent ,timely,successful raids.
On a positive note ...I really hope the redside raid goes well and everyone has a fun time ;D -

I really debated a bit before finally deciding to respond.
Here goes....A buff to fill a domination bar did what? Allowed players to have a full domination bar more quickly. What used to happen once the bar was full?What USED to happen was you opened a can of WHOOPASS and went to town with it. O wow!! My dominator( double and triple) has MORE DOMINATION!! Screw kinetics and fulcrum shift being needed. What happens now is you get a handy fill to your endbar( which the AT needs considering the end penalties added ). There isnt much in Pve that requires added mez outside of what dominator's already had to begin with.
Now we have Dominator 's as watered down versions of a blaster // controller hybrid with a defender inherent + some mez protection. IMHO we are back to issue8 as far as the AT goes.
Many of you all forget that I played a great many dominator's to level 50 and am not just irked that psw was nerfed.Hell? The only reason I had a fire//psw in the first place was because that happenned to be the combo I picked the day COV went live.

The whole dichotamy of an archetype was changed to accomadate new and//or casuals. Noone took into consideration that some players enjoyed dominator's because of the diverse and challenging playstyle needed to be a good Dominator and get the most out of the archetype.
I am sure someone will post the obligatory'exploit' comment . Go on and on and on about how this or that wasn't intended and the dev's fixed blah blah.That's fine and dandy.I don't care. It's all in fun and to each their own.I will never roll a new dominator and know plenty of players that feel the exact same way. However, that's another topic entirely. To be honest, noone cares anyway. I'm glad the changes managed to get so many new dominator's out wreaking havoc in the Rogue Isles!! -
Oroborous is unplayable. I really hope someoen gets on this quickly. I attempted 4 different archs during my playtime this morning to eventually just log off in frustration.My experience today consisted of:
1."The Vahzilok Pollutant" lvl1-15 arch
a. Access pillar and select the arch
b. The mission door spawned as a pillar in Oro
c. Click on the mission door(in Oro) .
d. Hang in loading screen for 10 mins.
2."The Mind of a King" lvl16-19 arch
a.Select (no problem). First mission is a hunt.
b. Get second mission. All baddies are level 1(wth?).
c. Hmmmmmm? Must be something wrong here /bug.
3."Crown of Glory" lvl25-29(3 door missions should be a quick and easy way to get the last 2 merits I need to purchase a recipe for the character)
a. Loads fine.... YAY!! It's a go!
b.Level 1's????????
c.Through logging out and in I managed to complete the arch. The baddies still stayed level1 but I was able to get credit for defeating objectives. I don't know why.......
1. Please note that I logged off to reset the mission after killing all objectives, reading in my combat logs that I had completed the objectives.
2.After the reset I completed the ONE objective as I had in the prior incantation and received immediate credit.
Can we please get this problem rectified?I know people wont like to read what I am about to type but I think if they can't get in a quickfix there should be a rollback to give them more time to analyze the problem. Oro is borked as to nigh unplayable within the levels documented above. When I have my patience glass more full I will attempt some other archs at higher levels this evening to try and verify if the level 1 spawns are just affecting lvls1-29 oro sf//tf's. There really seems to be some sort of BIG problem with all sf//tf's at the moment. -

Point 1. Any dominator in a full team with subpar recharge( hasten + 20%) experienced periods of domination overlap( stacked double dom) prior to the changes.
Point2. Any dominator in a team with permadom 1 or 2( 160% or 180%)experienced periods of triple stacks with a higher damage ratio than the current domination formula. This basiclly means that any dominator in a full team or in a 4man team with a kin on board contributed more damage without the end penalty.
Dominator's used to be the end game.They aren't any longer.
I apologize for being rude to Min but the comment about " exploit crowd" hit me the wrong way.
Point 3. I don't really care about the adjustment to psw. Bottomline is outside of pvp dom's got less powerful in the hands of a fast paced player. The fact that you all view the dumbing down of dominator's a GOOd thing baffles me. THE whole inherent of the archetype was changed after over 3 years. They aren't dominators anymore. Might as well come up with a new name for the archetype.

edited to add that the general consensus was nonbuffed doms( few took into consideration the team buffs experienced in a prior issue)performed too poorly for the casual player.. It was a frakken witchhunt for people that exceeded the "norm".The funny thing to me is that if any of the protestor's had made minimal effort they would have been right there with the players that had . To explain ... a teamed dom could surpass a solo dom easy breezy in terms of outright damage in pve. I find my dominator's endsucking whores now. Don't yell at me for saying I don't like something either.Sure.. I can slot for recovery... at the price of not slotting damage... or hp .. etc..The performance is lower. I said this back during the initial arguements... YOU KNOW.. back when SOME doms were out farming brutes.Not going to rehash this ,Lilli.

My Fortunata currently is lvl 48.5.... yea I know I'm a damn slacker theres plenty of lvl 50 veats already....... I concur with M3z'z opinion and I am a peeveepee NOOB! Even Miss Noob see's the potential in this at and with limited dexterity skills has managed some fun stuff in zones.
The dev's did a good job with the Villian epics. My only regret is there are not more around to team with. I suppose my post is a threadjack and I apologize. I am pm'ing you M3z with my current Fortunata plan. I am going for perma ml and all I need are 1.5 levels to achieve the goal.
For all the dom lover's the Fortunata build is about as expensive as a permadom one. I took your gloom suggestion in the SOA thread, M3z and you were right.

You're correct. Noone was being hurt and plenty were benifitting via the BM. I think it's funny. Doing 8 caps in an hour and a half wasn't an easy thing to organize with 8 non dual boxers.
I think Posi is just pissed the hero's werent smart enough to run Katie the same way. Got his boxer's all in a twist because villians are smarter.
You could have multied Katies as well with a little different organization.
Either way this kills the BM. Sure.. A couple of players have posted screenshots to attest to 22-24 min 4 player cap runs. All that does is substantiate the fact that the good people will keep going and the mediocre players will miss out..... AGAIN. In addition the people running Caps arent going to sell untill prices for uniques are jacked up to over 200 mill per unique because the additional recipes introduced in issue10 just further dilluted the pool C drop Pools ( I might be wrong on which issue but anyone reading my post knows wth I am talking about.)
The previous change and the currrent change do absolutely NOTHING to address the BM issue. In fact....... it makes the BM worse.
Since the dev's all seem to be the " average Joe gamer" I'd seriously like to see them compile a team on test or in dev land and do an 8 man cap rotation. Let them organize the damn thing and solo and coordinate reassembly then get the Crap of the Hunter or Pacing of the turd at the end. Let them run it and see how long it takes to get a decent drop.
This change does not effect me in the least except as a minor inconvenience. In fact? I m not an RMT but I have enough villianside pool c's banked to be a billionaire in the game a few times over in the coming months.
I seriously question where these out of the blue changes originate and the motivation behind them.
Thanks for the compromise. Nice of you all Dev team. The bandaide won't work long though. You're gonna need a foogin tourniquet and an amputation to fix the BM following this change. Maybe a good idea is to sew on the leg of Wentworths to patch the one the BM just lost. -

Yes, the compromise is fine. Simply not a wel lthought out " fix" to a behavior affecting a mediocre sized % of the whole population. The side effects to the market, however, will be devastating. I suppose that doesn't affect " Joe Gamer". I'm not " Joe Gamer" and am irked to hell and back.

To reiterate my original statement about farming Task / Strike Force and Trial statements for RMT purposes and to echo Positron's follow up statement; the reason for the change to these missions is to curb the following behavior:
8 people start a Task Force.
7 people log off and allow the 1 character that's a strong solo build to solo to the end.
The 7 other people log on just before the finish.
Complete the mission and 8 people obtain Pool C rewards for the work of 1 person.
The above behavior is something that we are not allowing to continue.
We understand that there is more work that can be done on these missions. We appreciate and value your feedback on that front.

What are the plans in the works to address that inevitable situation? Most likely what will happen now is RMT 'rs will start selling recipe's or craffted enhancements instead of enfamy//influence. Whats easier? Buy a Miracle unique for 50.00 or pay 150.00 for 140mill enfamy?

Something occurred to me today in addition to the other thoughts I have posted in the thread. One reason more people are now capable of running the RSF and STf respectively is because of the countless hours players contributed testing the RSF and solid strategies.I know I myself spent 6 days in Rsf to figure the thing out. No.. I wasnt alone. The team agreed we'de not quit until we finished. When we hit a stumbling block we'de break for the night and a few of us would agree to meet at a later time and figure the mission out before the whole team reassembled at the designated time the next day. With the current change thats not something players can do anymore.
Might be funny to watch them implement something new that actually requires solid testing to compile strategies now. -

Anyway? I will happily feed my pool C uniques into the BM in small increments and make a killing.

Let players play Task Forces how they wish without being forced to team, which can be especially problematic on low population servers at low population times. There was nothing inherently wrong with all Task Forces, though a lot of "play my way, aka the right way!" gamers have turned it into a crusade against soloists.
The problems as I and many others see it were Cap SFs and soft-spawning the STF/RSF. Do as was done with Katie TFs and examine them individually, don't enact sweeping changes. I'd be surprised if there's anyone who opposes this change who wouldn't agree with what I just said. We've all acknowledged that Katie TFs were easily farmable and disrupting gameplay as usual, so deal with any problematic TFs on a case by case basis.

We shouldn't have to find workarounds as a result of dev negligence. I am lookin at you Mr. Tech in the rsf.I don't object to a spawn for minimum team size AT all. The fact of the matter is because of poor game design and negligent implementation all the players are now at this point. THE POINT WHERE THE WORKAROUNDS don't work anymore and are becomming an inconvenience.
A person can look at any point made in the thread and it all goes back to a "workaround".
1. Why do people softload RSF? To avoid the buggy tech.
2. Why do hero people fill a team? Because they cant get 8 players for the 6-8 hour boredom fest for a badge.
3. Why do both heros and villians want to do quick Katies and Caps? For a chance at a good recipe from a messed up drop pool.

I have already expressed what I think about this change. I find Posi's post bordering ludicrous. Why? Because just MAYBE I don't want to play how he wants me to play. I could give a good gotdamn about the " pride of accomplishment that comes with completing a tf//sf". I WANT MY REWARD! Not a damn badge. If I want to feel "pride" I'll go to a PTA meeting or volunteer at the foodcupboard at my church. Maybe I will volunteer at my daughter's school book fair or accompany 30 10 year olds to the zoo as a chaperone. I don't play this game to feel " pride" in my accomplishments. THIS is a game.
I posted earlier about selling a miracle for an exorbitant amount. Know whats sad? To date I typically list uniques( when I sell) for around 1-5 mill depending on my mood.You know that Miracle that sold for 500k a month ago?

Bottomline there are a few different factions of players affected by this "blanket" change . The factions connect and overlap at some point. So how about coming up with a 'fix' for all faction s of players and NOT just the ones who do it like YOU say?
You want to make a minimum spawn based on team size? Fine. I think EVERYONE can live with that. In fact? Noone so far in 68 pages has complained about the 'softlaod' fix. Providing you dev's fix the dumb tech in Rsf.How about taking some of the really good player suggestions regarding drop pools and research implementing some of those?
