  1. Posting your build will help.. if not maybe be a bit more specific on what you love about it so others can dial in and make that/those areas shine.
  2. It's also fairly easy to reach the greater than 45% defense with tripple'N up on Kinetic Combat IO's in single target attacks and Eradication in the other attacks. Do that followed by Steadfast 3% in Permafrost and Reactive armor in Tough and you could drop Combat Jumping (leaping) for Hasten (speed) and boost the time Hoarfrost can be cycled... other than that focus on regen and hitpoint would be the way I attack the build.... ending with about 250 more hitpoints and 100% regen.

    It's sad though.. most the answers are the use of IO's, an aspect of the game that is not intended on being needed.


    I think for standards playing you need to learn to let your health bar go a bit lower than you may be comfortable with since it will mostly completley heal you.

    If you find you are going red faster than your recharge on dark heal pick up hasten, use it for those groups... and slot dark heal for max end reduction.

    I honestly do not see the problem with "another" AE is ruining the game thread. I tend to agree with these threads.

    The OP was clear and and proper, but that was not enough because it turned into another thread much like the others?

    I think every player that is not happy with the introduction of AE should say so. Should they not mention or for that matter, clearly mention that they think AE is ruining the game before closing an account?

    We could sit here and debate "how to" but at times that takes away from the goal... like a tanker using taunt.

    Every player that is saddened by AE is not going to be able to propose Ideas to fix it, but that is no reason to discount the fact that many players think the game is in a sad state.

    Yes they complain and with multiple threads on this discussion maybe the volume of complaints will inspire the devs to make a change, the reason why they do not like AE has been stated over and over again. The devs can focus on that and make adjustments as they see fit... if they see fit.

    I disagree with most of this because I do not think the players are for the most part creating "content". AE adds "stuff" to the game but for the most part it contains... nothing.

    For the most part hordes of the same enemy, on the same maps with the same clickable object to bypass the ticket limit. This is neither dynamic or really even content.

    Creating a story or a mish is great but when the vast majority of players are piled into one building running farms.... (same old ruining garbage)

    OK I will bite...

    Eliminate auto leveling, this will require players to sk, making the farms closer to game content farms.

    Eliminate the ability to have custom groups without minion's and lt's this will eliminate xp abuse and further close the gap between game content farms and AE farms.

    Make AE's like TF's eliminate the rewards after frequent play.

    You see Aett, many players don't have clicks, and need to pug or atleast find a good portion of players to fill out a team. This extreme easy button is pulling from these resourses. AE has turned Freedom into Protector, sure alot more players are on line but it's still a dickens to find a team to play real content.

    They are doing as every player should voice an opinion. We all are not smart enough for the details, but most of us can see the damage being done.. should they just remain silent?
  5. I think Invul/ is a great choice also.. Ice/ would be my second suggested Primary.

    Secondaries.. although most mitigate one way or another I actually like /EM the stacking of stun is just..... fun to me.
  6. I assume you concider Fire/ with poor resists also if that is your opinion of Dark.

    Your Idea..

    I would advise to skip trying to add additional defense with weave unless you are going to try and IO some defense in it simpley is not enough when factoring you have no defense debuff protection and your self heal is going to compete with the additional toggles for endurance... not to mention your Rage crash.

    If you are going for +rec and +end thats up to you.. I still believe your mitigation will be minimal with the additional defense and your power selection could be used for other purposes.

    CoF.. it's a good call on skipping this power it's dismal accuracy seems uncalled for it's grand endurtance cost.

    Dark does need a bit more love from the player to keep on par with the likes of Stone/ Shield/ Invul/ Ice/ and WP/ but it's does work if taken care of..

    I may IO mine or not.. to many projects not enough inf :P

    /EM works syncs with OG, /Dark syncs with CoF
  8. I like Energy Melee over SS for two reasons.. one is the defense crash if not stacked and the other is the damage "debuff".

    Energy melee is much more fun for me as a scranker.

    Invul is great IMO.

    I disagree with this statment Shield/ has wonderful defense using melee/ranged/aoe it has very few holes, I spent a meger 15-20 mill on IO's and have over 50% defense to each of these. I think the real difference between the two is the heal.

    As stated this is your toon, your playstyle.. I always left CE on, a few more seconds it does take but it holds aggro pretty well and thats always a benifit for eager blasters and such.

Not going through the pages this early in the morning for me but I have a simplistic solution... under options have a setting for in game e-mail that is as follows in a check box form so you can have more than one option "All"- get e-mail from anyone in the game. "Supergroup" recieve e-mails from sg members, "Friends list" recieve e-mail from anyone on your friends list. "Global Friends" recieve e-mails from anyone on your global friends list.

    I did not try to imply that his feedback in the community was a bad thing but much like your post and my own response it is not about his findings/concern. The concern about farming rare drops has been lost in most of this thread and a simple change of words explaining this finding may have helped, thats all, nothing more. I tried to show where he may be more skilled at finding flaws than reporting them, by refraining from a few simple words less debate about his skill, boasting or actual intensions and more about the concern might happen in the thread. Its not an insult, I am only trying to help Ultimus as you feal he has helped the community.

    Ultimus and what he does or has done.. is great, really! I will never be able to do what he does I don't make builds for that, even if I did I might not be able to.

    As for the concern I believe that sometimes it will be faster and sometimes it will be frustrating possibly farming a TF/trial for hours, depending on the rate drop in pool C and D this may or may not help. The "Brain" tried to this point is using the term "might". I quoted the Brain only trying to show that he the "Brain" was understanding of a farming situation and openly expressed that he was trying to avoid that. Shivans as pointed out have also been discussed before. That being said farming may become very common but it may have no direct impact on rare items becoming common. This may be a loop hole or flaw it is not a loop hole or flaw yet. As you pointed out Test server will help decide that. One last time, "Brain" stated that he was trying to avoid a situation that would make rares becomming commons, Devs know about Shivans.

    Again about the "concern" I don't think it is any concern atm although it could happen. I believe with the words from the "Brain" and the understanding about the Shivans shows the Devs understand this. Rares becomming common are going to be avoided at the best of the Devs ability as implied. Loop holes etc. sure they will always be found but I still believe the chances of a team of 8 finding a rare or more rares in 1 run is the greater chance, even for overall time involved. It may not drop to you but teaming may = more drops per 2 hour period, which may = more items for all players to complete formulas, which may = more items for auction etc. etc. which may be better for the community. Just an opinion.

    As for Ultimus sure keep on keepin on... I have nothing against his playing or sharing, I did not think I said that. I thought he could explaint things in a less irritating manner for some of the community (not me I don't mind one bit) which may = more time on subject. Out of all the "good for you posts" I think you miss read mine.. or as normal I did not explain very well the first time through (it has taken several times before)
  12. I think by using the title "I" and in your posts and in the thread refering to your accomlishments and server, not focusing on the posible flaw this thread has gotten a bit off track.

    Most of the thread is about you and your shivans over 1/2 of your replies are about your accomplishments about the shivans or other things not relating to the "concern".

    If from pool C and D a rare drop might ("might" was Brains term) occure then you "might" be able to complete it in 30 minutes and you might get your rare drop.. but then again you might not, you could solo this for 2 hours and not get your drop then again you might.

    If you have a team of 8 and tell them what drop you need it may only take you one run of 2hrs-2.5 hrs to get that drop, if each player that completes the tf or trial gets a drop.. maybe 7 can get it done in that time and you can have an alt at the door from a seperate account, giving you 6 chances to trade and 2 chances for that drop. I think much of this thread is nothing to worry about till Brain changes from his "might" to "does"...

  13. I mentioned long ago that "gauntlet" did not work with power pool attacks, glad to see this is going to be fixed... does it work with Brutes? Or will they use be able to taunt with the power pools also?
  14. I do not know about scaling but my 40 Ice tank gets creamed when quartz is placed by DE. I am talking about a near 100% accuracy by boss's, LT's, minions and pets alike. I can "tank" a mob of 5 Boss's or I can get killed by 3 minions and some quartz. Thank you...
