I ended up going Spiritual on my Blaster. But I'm starting to see the value of Cardiac. Its primary bonus isn't something my chars usually need, but the bonuses to RES and range are very nice. I have 3 chars planned around Cardiac now.

Quote:Why you would even argue that real life possibilities matter in the context of a video game based on superheroes is insane. Human bodies also aren't supposed to be able to jump over buildings. Or do flying kicks with massive hangtime. It's fantasy, man.It is scientific fact that the human body is not meant to move like that.
How you can even argue that is insane. -
Quote:Making it look good is entirely subjective. If you read this thread I think you'll find most of the people here like it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean everyone else hates it. It's impossible to please everyone, and it's impractical to redo it to please a minority (or one person).Yeah but I have to SEE other people using it, unless you can tell me how to edit it out of the game somehow.
Make it LOOK good or don't do it at all Paragon.
I miss Sexy Jay and BaBs because they knew that while making the players happy is the right thing to do, making your game look slipshod and embarrassing wasn't the way to do it.
And Jay hasn't gone anywhere, but don't get me started on him. -

Psst. Walking into the sonic shields in Praetoria and getting fragged is an accomplishment. So is getting your first tip drop by simply killing enemies once you're at least level 20.

Quote:Just like people right now say "LRSF forming: at least one page of IO bonuses required"So you assure us that we will never see:
"raid X forming: level shift +2 only (no stalkers) PST"
Because we all know this will become the norm.
(Maybe not the stalker part)
*sigh* No. Only bad/deluded players will be doing this. The same ones that insist they HAVE to have a Granite Tanker and Kinetics Defender to run newspapers. -
Quote:Just like nobody uses invention sets because SOs are sufficient?Go where and do what?
What's the value add to the player if the top three tiers of the a slots aren't necessary to succeed on the current Incarnate Tfs?
In other words, why should I bother when what I've got is already sufficient? -
WOW! The new badge requires I do a task force FIFTY times with one character? I was thinking it'd be like 10 or something!

I'm hoping the animal pack goes live tomorrow. It seems like good timing.

Quote:Eden week! Get your incarnate power in 10 minutes!I'm actually hoping the restrict it to level capped TF/SFs. The reason being that hero side has some real weird divergences among TFs. Can you imagine what a Katie Hannon week would look like. People have focused on how much a Dr. Q would suck, but really, all that would mean is that people skip that week. A Katie would probably cause a singularity to form in Croatoa from the mass of all the players there.

There's a video too.

People edited a demorecord file to get that, using Ninja Run as a base and just changing the name of the animations. -

Quote:Shame the idle isn't a version of crouch. The one it has isn't as good as it could be.Here's another video preview of the Beast Run, created by Ransim:

I'm gonna have so much fun with that run.

Quote:I built and completed my widow before incarnate. i19 allowed me to round her out just a tad more. She has 101% ToHit with a lot of +ACC. She has soft-cap, a full ST attack chain, and perma ML. She has +60% damage along with damage procs, and never runs out of end despite her toggles.I find my widow, just like in beta, drains endurance like a bucket with holes in it....and I do slot for end red at least 1 SO worth per power sometimes more.
Had I built her before I may be running some other incarnate. But when it came around I looked and realized I didn't need accuracy, recharge, or endurance. So damage default it is. She'll end up doing 285% damage all the time, with procs.
Most of my toons are doing spiritual. I always plan out my toons to have end under control. But Cardiac has nice bonuses like +RES and +range, so I've found myself planning new characters around it. I'm making a Huntsman who already sucks wind, but by then she'll have it under control, and will benefit from more RES and range. It also lets me focus on other stuff like the +100% global recharge she'll have going. I also went Cardiac on my Dom for the secondary bonuses (especially +range with Seeds of Confusion).
I can't help feel like Nerve is useless though. I've only seen one or two people using it. Someone said it's okay for Doms and Controllers for the low accuracy mezzes, but that's really not enough incentive to me. -
Quote:The logic is that they either changed the icon to appease the icon modding community, or because they're going to have a similar power come out soon and don't want duplicate icons. Which would allude to some sort of beast run or similar power. It's pure speculation though.you do realize that's just a new icon for ninja run and not a new animated run yes?
Also, I use musculature on my widow because she has no use for any of the other bonuses. -
Quote:You read it wrong, because you need an Uncommon to make a Rare, same as you need a Common to make an Uncommon.I didnt see an option for upgrading an uncommon to a rare. If thats the case then I totally screwed up when making uncommons. Maybe I am just reading it wrong.
LRSF/STF according to the beta channel. -
Quote:Take a look here:I am actually shocked to see this on the test server so soon. I do have some questions. If you are already at the uncommon level whats the most cost effective way to do this to get a very rare doing the fewest TFs possible? Dont get me wrong I love the kill all TFs and intend on doing more of them. Lastly aside from the sexy ninja run icon what else is there in this patch?

I broke down all the information and have it listed so you can figure out the path of least resistance. -
Quote:Or you can wait until i20, when there will be other ways to earn those components by doing brand new Incarnate Trials. So to get a very rare alpha i need to spend alot of tim grinding the same **** over and over to get another rare. 2 notice of the well along with a bunch of shards to get the favor on top of that.
In other words, this is just for those impatient people in our ranks who want rare/very rare NOW. If you don't care and don't want to repeat content, then don't. -
Quote:Good news then. I didn't notice the scrollbar. I've edited my information in the little guide in the GR section to reflect this. The Very Rare crafting section has a scroll bar, and a whole ton of recipes for the various different combos. The combos I'm seeing for Cardiac Core Paragon are:
Partial Core Revamp + Partial Radial Revamp
Total Radial Revamp + Partial Radial Revamp
Total Radial Revamp + Partial Core Revamp
Total Core Revamp + Total Radial Revamp
Total Core Revamp + Partial Radial Revamp
Total Core Revamp + Partial Core Revamp
The other component requirements are all the same.
Still kinda numb in the head from playing too long on live, but unless I'm missing something, the only restriction is that you can't use the same two rares to make a very rare. Other than that, any two different rares will work. -
I compiled all the current incarnate information here:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=251208
Also this is an excerpt, as it qualifies as feedback related to this patch:
I have a comment/question/gripe here, and it pertains to the very rare levels. Each one lists needing two rare powers to be made. However, every single one lists both the partial rare versions as requirements. The two conclusions I can draw from this mean either that it's merely a text bug/limitation and any two rares will do, or in fact the total versions of rares are literally useless to the advancement up the tree. The in-game tree even seems to indicate that the second theory is true.
If this is in fact intended, this means that anyone who creates a [Cardiac Total Core Revamp] cannot use it to make a very rare. This means the total trees are dead-ends and it should be noted ASAP for players to avoid them at all costs, unless they for some reason have no intention of going to very rare. Furthermore, if this is the case and it's intended, it should be immediately reconsidered, because it's an absolutely horrible idea. Especially for unsuspecting players who go this route and waste the time and effort. -
Quote:I don't know, I've been playing two MMs lately (Merc/Trap and DS/Pain), with no, one, and both upgrades depending on the level. And over the last several weeks I've only had the unresponsive bug one time, during the last mission of the new redside Coral arc.Think I might have figured out a pattern here with the unresponsive pets. If you cast your pets without any 1st or 2nd level equipment added, they zone and respond perfectly. But if you enhance your pets with either the 1st or 2nd level enhancement, they stop responding after you zone. I tested this by zoning in and out of Brickstown/Independence port several times each.
I sent in a bug report, maybe they can figure out how to fix it.
By the way, to fix it use /releasepets instead of a dismiss command. It "kills" all the pets, and you can resummon new ones. When this bug occurs, dismiss will drop them out of your box but they still stay where they are, and no longer respond to commands. /releasepets gets rid of them more forcefully. -
