There will be at least 2-3 legions made up of CoH members. On is Israphel, I can be reached by whisper or mail to Desmodas. -

You can still play the faction you chose, you're just gonna have to wait to make the character.
Right now, this is a REALLY annoying side effect of the balance. Many folks who pre-ordered will now miss out on pre-selecting their characters. When the head start begins, things should balance out and you can make the faction of your choice. -

Not too sure this needed to be implemented during pre-selection, but it was gonna be necessary at some point. -
Bad news for some folks playing Aion:
Race Balance is already in affect. You might not be able to get the race you want during Pre-selection. Some servers have already temporarily locked out certain races.
EDIT: Basically you have to wait awhile until it balances out. The definition of "a while" could vary considerably. -
Presently, I'm stranded in central time zones, but I usually post events with each continental US time zone.

Mid's Official Update is out too. Current up to Issue 16.

Just logged in, servers are up and Issue 16 has arrived.
Now to spend hours pretending to attempt an original character that will end up looking like all my other characters...honestly I do try. -

While I personally would not chose to do so, it certainly can be done. Against most mobs, you should be fine. Learning which mobs to look out for would/could minimize the rest. Certain mobs will always be a problem, but those could be avoided entirely.
I just wouldn't have the patience for it. -

Since I'll be focusing on Asmodae come launch, I'll be spending most my time in Elysea for Open beta.
