  1. Well, I'm bringing Wraith-Blade.
  2. The amount of /Dark villain side more than makes up for the lack of it hero side.

Just wait till Rogue comes out, you'll get tired of us.

Now, if you wanted to make a group exotic Defenders, like Cold or Sonic, I'd be in for that (specially since I heard we're suppose to get more character slots with Rogue).
  3. That's one on you.

To redeem yourself, I expect us to fight Calystix and the Eye without clearing the room at all.
  4. You know, I went to a 30 minute evacless Hamidon Raid a few days ago (technically two on the same night). I'd say there were probably about 10 or so people that actually knew exactly what they were doing. Everyone else just followed orders to the best of their ability. There weren't even that many deaths (though I did mass rez more than three people twice with Howling Twilight, but that was over the course of two different Hamidon Raids (in the Abyss and Abyss2)).

Point being, if you actually have enough people, it's not that hard. But if you don't, it'd be nice if you didn't just grind to a halt because your EoE supply ran dry.
  5. It didn't.

It didn't go at all. Here's lookin' at next week.
  6. Well, I chanced into two evacless raids on Virtue tonight. Fight ended in around 20 minutes and the group burned through Hami from 25% to 0.

Of course, they had a full raid.
  7. Do you guys not practice daylight's savings?

This is suppose to start in 6 minutes and on one's here.

It doesn't matter if you have 200 EoEs, if the raid is struggling you'll burn through the things like donut holes. Then you tell 35-50 people "we're going to pause this to go farm EoEs"; that raid is over. And even if it isn't, now you run the risk that not everyone will be able to get back in.

And that's the point, it's a needless headache. The damage is specialized so that all armor pools, whether stone or electric, are on the same playing field. Why does there have to be a second contingency that separates high priority characters over low ones? The fight is already centralized around specific roles.

Edit: And I don't mean to argue directly at you over it, it's just always seemed pointless to me. And worst of all, when they changed the fight, they deliberately left that mechanic.
  9. That you could opt for a 5th Power Pool if you didn't choose an Ancillary/Patron Pool.

Found that out to be false the hard way.
  10. I think you have to remember that death in this game, once you reach max level, isn't like death in other games.

I think the reason why the devs don't care if people die, is because there is no penalty for it.

I have two problems with the Hami fight. One is that it's just the same thing four times in a row. Yeah, it's easier to balance, but it's also bor~ring. The second part is that you can easily fail it if you run out of EoEs. I can't think of another MMO that lets you fail a Raid Boss. Wipe and be forced to start over (that is, start over a fight that only lasts 30 minutes tops)? Sure, but Hamidon doesn't even give you that option. If you run out of EoEs, you have to wait for him to despawn and then spawn him again, which you will never get a large enough group of people to do.

Here's a question, why do we even have EoEs? Why can't Hamidon just do a more reasonable amount of specialized damage and call it even?

I've never been one to care about the past, I just look at how things are now.

The old Hamidon raid was fallible too. Why? Hami-Os aren't that good. (53 Merits aren't that good either, but that's an entirely separate argument.)
  11. Keep your nostalgia away from me! I resist you!

Holy God! All at once? How do you keep track of things?

If you liked FFT (that, FF6 and FF1 being the only Final Fantasies I liked) you could try the Disgaea series.

For half the SF, I thought it was the strap to some purse option I didn't know existed.

This is like my favorite SF, don't tempt me.
  15. I already did this one on Demon Shell, so I'll bring Wraith-Blade again.

Whenever we do it, that is.

Edit: GAH! Stupid VG symbol! Took away my skull!
  16. Didn't get anything impressive to drop, but I got my Dual Pistol/Dark Miasma Corruptor to 33.

Not bad considering I didn't even play all that much.
  17. Well, we didn't exactly get to the last mission with the greatest of speed. But I'd still say yeah, probably around an hour and a half to two hours.
  18. And since he's bringing the brute, I'll bring my Corruptor.

    Mids' Update

Vista here. I uninstalled the old version and tried to get the new one. It comes up with an error every time it tries to install a file.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I forgot to run the thing as an admin.
  20. Damn! I remember doing that too! I only did that like once! How the hell did you get that screenshot off unannounced?

You are far more skilled than I took you for. I need to watch my back.
  21. I hope we're not postponing, I got a new character high enough yesterday.

  22. There's Waldo! He's up on the lamp post!

  23. One large reason for the excitement is that when reactivation coincides with double XP, lots of people that have canceled their account show up for the weekend.

But, double XP also doubles influence/infamy, prestige, and I think drop rates (though I'm not positive).
