Crimson Prime has been a friend of mine for almost exactly 20 years. We used to play Villains and Vigilantes in his dorm room, and our GM was none other than Sean Fish... a.k.a. Manticore. Many of the bad guys we used to fight on those late college nights have now appeared in COH, including Countess Crey, The Vindicators (the name we used in college), and a hero named Crimson.

Now, 20 years later, Crimson Prime has had to adapt and evolve his character since Manticore borrowed his name and dropped it on an NPC in Peregrine Island. An homage, I'm sure... but no one can replace the ORIGINAL Crimson... now named "CRIMSON PRIME".

not really the OP was already known to be a 15 year old boy according to his post history he is also known for stalking Rowr on the Virtue Forums as well as getting a thread locked then deleted when called on stalking Rowr and he decided to go bat loco .

Secondly the moment you stated the above was likely the last time your words of wisdom and gentle advice in this thread really needed to be heeded .

If your going to try to browbeat folks for art expect people to get annoyed

give the man a door prize I agree with the Liquidy one .
Theres lots of nice ways to ask for art that do get my attention .

a regular poster , critiquer, art person (heck even some guy off the street)that would like some art of his or her character and isn't particular and posts a thread
asking that his character be considered for art is a really good example of a way to ask for art

entering a thread going "zomg art , draw me ---------> link to pic " is not a good way to get the attention of someone whose art you like .

I doubt you'll be getting ignored anytime soon as you actually provide feedback on folks work and generally post both before after and during lots of folks threads regardless of weather art is offered or not .

You'll note my disdain is merely for folks that show up go "nice , draw me -----> link in sig" in threads where the artist hasn't even suggested that they ar looking to draw anyone else , as well as never actually contributeing to the art forums in either comments, feedback or art .

I find these sorts of folks reprenhensiable as well as a very good deterrent to ever actually doing sketches for folks that I don't know very well .

once again these are IMHO YMMV and take with a grain of salt

I'll be siding with Suichiro as well on this topic .

If one is intrested in art or a particular artist they can easily send them a pm asking to engage in a trade , If an artist wishes to do sketches of folks they will create a thread asking for particapants and then any number of folks will jump in (myself included).

jumping into a thread when an artist is either trying to show their work or receive feedback from their peers and merely going "Draw me, _----> points at screenshot link" is IMHO the very worst kind of art lover (And I use the term loosely)

posting a thread essentially calling out another artist for an art trade is also incrediably bad form .

of course these are my oponions and your milage may vary , but im really beginning to detest the me me me gimmie gimmie gimmie attitude shown the folks that just want to show off their really niftypics and then get spammed with draw me requests

on the plus side that is what the ignore button is used for and i'll be starting to make liberal use of it in regards to art"Women of the evening" that can't follow simple courteousy .

If you get too overwhelmed you can drop my name from the list Thistle as I have plenty of art

and you'll find that if you post that your doing free art you'll be soon swamped with art "women of the evening" as well as other artists that just like to see their creations drawn in a different style

hee thats the sorta info I like to have on tap Im looking to start doing a few art trades in the near future and knowing how overworked or how fast a particular artist is is a good thing to know before starting one

oh agreed but I do like to track how fast folks work , it makes it easier to figure out who to trade with in the future
