I agree boo on the no super powers part ...granted after going through the various things done to me im not sure id want the ability to expel stones from my nethers , chuck up whiye chalky vaugely radioactive material , or the ability to turn my skin and muscles clear so you can see my insides .....maybe super strength but only while clad in a hospital gown :P

about a week and 1/2 ago due to constant internal pains and excessive blood showing up where blood really shouldn't be , I scheduled an exam , afterwards my doctor gave me a laundry list of things it could likely be ....there were lots of really bad things and a few kinda okay things , but they needed additional testing to be sure which it was
CT or CAT scan on Friday , got to drink two big jars of a white thick chalky liquid (I dubbed it man milk) get hooked up to a IV unit with Iodine then passed back and fourth through a Stargate looking device so they could take scans of my inner fleshy parts (no super powers gained at this point ...though Iodine in your blood stream makes you feel as if your gonna burst into flames ...)
Also chucked up excessives amounts of manmilk .....
Monday , the stuck a camera inside of me ...in my oponion via areas cameras were not meant to go , I learned important life lessons such as Valiumns seem to make the whole world pass by in a daze .(note , still no super powers )
....so a week of pain medications later I get a CT scan and a visit by a fiberoptic camera and the prognosis is well its not one of the really bad things (which im not gonna name as its like saying beetlejuice three times) but instead just kidney stones which im super happy about
considering some of the possiabilities mentioned kidney stones is like winning the lottery for me (I never though girls got them ...ya know it was just gods special present for guys :P )
oh well the doc says most likely they will work their way out on their own and worst case scenario they will go in and get em not that that parts exciting or anything but well I'll take it over the alternative anyday of the week .
anyways thanks for the well wishes and hopefully that answers a few of the PM's without going into too much detail

considering you can just turn it off and that there is already forum games to boost or lower folks reps why bother caring .
id be more concerned if say I suddenly got pm's from suichi or shia (peoples oponions that actually matter to me ) saying "Deebs are you okay ? you seem a bit too involved/angry about this "
but random person whom I have no interaction with (even if they left their name ) I just roll my virtual eyes at .
At the end of the day the only person I need to get good (or at least neutral ) Marks from are my close friends and Ocho or Mod 8 (well I guess other mods but they never send me notes :P ) -
Got a get well card from my buddy shia a day or so ago as i've been back and fourth for fun fun fun medical testing and have been generally laid up , bored and medicated .

having an amazing love of sweets yet not having much talent in the kitchen its generally well known amongst my neighbors and relatives that i'll sometimes literlly work for food . -
good luck in your searching , remember the more complicated the comission you are looking for the more it will likely seem like work (thus requiring a bigger incentive ) to the artist so the answer to your question is ....It depends
oh hai a few tips !!
(also when I use the phrase cost here its merely to invoke an imaginary scale , in my case added cost may mean it will cost you a plate of lasagna as opposed to a loaf of bannana bread )
1 ) your pic of your costume is amazingly small , the better picture references you have the better , you might want to include a few different angles
2) if your looking to include fire imps you should always include pics of them , never assume folks know what they are
3) for each figure in a picture its safe to assume that the price goes up so yeah your hero + 3 fire imps will likely be more than just your hero
4)dynamic poses or a pose with lots of background details likely costs more than a static picture with no background
5) while influnece and infamy are intresting currencies you probably should let folks know what server your on as that would play a big roll in folks intrest
I think swans off his gourd with his post as folks will often times do art for things having nothing to do with money , amazingly sometimes folks even do them for free as not everyone here is looking to make their fortunes doing super hero art .
I often end up doing the odd bit of nursery rhyme art for friends and family when they decorate or set up a kids room and personally like to be paid in dinners and baked goods and sometimes merely for an exchange of services .
in this case you did the right thing .
posted what you were willing to trade and what you were looking for , if someone see's the offer and thinks it works for them ...grand ! if its not their cup of tea well no harm no foul in asking right and you might likely get some pm nibbles from folks where you can dicuss price ranges back and fourth in private .
but yeah listing real world money for anything on the forums is a nono on the other hand listing influence is perfectly accepatable as alot of folks do it over on the marketing forums .
Im not doing any sidework at the moment or id actually be intrested in this as I am slowly IOing out my villains and its a much bigger pita red side than it is blue side . -

i'll gladly name scavenge if they do a purge , and i'll continue to find alternative names if they never do another purge .
it just has never happened to me that my enjoyment has been so completely destroyed by not finding a particular name to care very much one way or another . -

I know i've had more trouble than i'd like looking for a particular thread only to wade through dozens of others, half of which being rookery threads, to find it. The rookery is all well and good for what it is, but keep it to a thread. Daily threads are just excessive and unnecessary.

Edit: But just for example, at the time of this post, the rookery threads all the way back to monday are still on the default first page.
Its kinda sad, because the Virtue forums used to have more stuff posted more often, but I know a lot of people just quit bothering because the Rookery garbage drowns it out and nothing is done about it because "it's harmless".
pretty much sums up my oponion on the rookery as well -

to give an example I have seen someone posting in the ARs technical forum , city of heroes section trying to get folks whom would be otherwise unintrested in voting to vote on their particular person so that person a would edge out person b
