you may want to give the change card option a go as stasis has suggested as its the card registered that's used for payments by default or at least it has been in my experience. Any time I've missed a payment due to my card expiring and me not noticing I've just went in changed my card and then activated my account again and its always worked so far.

If you don't have Maestro option in the change card section while others do (myself included as i just went and looked) i would definitely contact support once again and perhaps even point them in the direction of this thread as its clear for some of us at least Maestro is a valid option so there knowledge base is at least partially wrong and i wouldn't be surprised if the knowledge base is first point of call for first tier support.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The correct card is already in there, it doesn't expire until 2011. It only has any effect if your card was declined etc. My sub was cancelled because i cancelled it. In order to restart my sub I can't use a Maestro card. Its simple really but some of you don't seem to grasp what I'm telling you.
  2. [ QUOTE ]
Have you tried contacting support? This seems like a very odd thing to do without even telling us.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes and they referred me to the section of the knowledge base which i quoted earlier.
  3. [ QUOTE ]
Why don't you use the "change card" option, then?

Are you absolutely sure your card hasn't expired/isn't due to? When I changed mine, it kept telling me it was invalid and eventually that I'd be investigated for fraud. Turns out, my card had expired a month before the date printed on it - but my new card arrived the same week, and entering those details worked fine (not Maestro, though).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I am not a moron, please don't patronise me. The change card does nothing to reactivate your account. I used a GvE pack code previously on my second account and had cancelled the monthly payments just to make sure that it didn't get taken out. Therefore I need to reactivate account/purchase game time, which is not an option with a Maestro card
  4. [ QUOTE ]
Maestro was still an option when I checked 2 mins ago and clicked "change card".

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes it is in that section but not if you use the reactivate subscription or buy playing time.
  5. Nope if i use mastercard option it tells me the number is incorrect.

I live in a village in the middle of nowhere, we have no shop so Paysafe isn't a valid option for me.
  6. it used to let you, before the recent 'update' to payment options, now you are simply unable to enter the details of any card other than those listed above.
  7. from the knowledge base:

If you live in Europe, we accept the following credit cards for payments in €/£ for your game subscription:

    · Game time cards, which can be purchased at your local game retailer

    · Credit cards: Visa, American Express, MasterCard

Then, in other countries, you will find some more specific payment methods:

    · ELV and PayPal for Germany

    · Solo and PayPal for the United Kingdom

    · Carte Bleue/ Carte Bancaire for France only

    · Moreover, if you are in the UK, Spain, Austria, Germany, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland you can pay for your subscription using paysafecard.

The following means of payment are accepted for online serial code/access key purchases from the PlayNC store:

    American Express®
    MasterCard®
    Visa®
Switch / Maestro (United Kingdom only)
    Solo (United Kingdom only)
    Carte Bancaire (France only)
    Carte Bleu (France only)
Paysafecard (Germany, Austria, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and the United Kingdom)
PayPal (if you are in the United Kingdom, Germany, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man)

so you can't use Maestro to subscribe to the game any more but you can use it to buy server xfers etc.

Oh well I guess they must know what they are doing but they have lost 2 accounts
  8. It appears I am no longer able to play City of Heroes. Payment via recurring monthly payment using a Maestro card no longer seems to be accepted when extending your subscription.

My Paypal account isn't verified (and can't be verified (long story))

So my only option of payment would be via Game time cards, which to be quite frank, I can't be bothered messing about with.

So to those of you still able to play COH, Farewell, My account expires soon and I don't think I can really be bothered logging back into the game at this time.
  9. Thanks, my claws scrapper is huge body type, so that explains that!
  10. When I logged my claws scrapper I got the message that I'd opened up the Rularuu claws (which I should have as I'd done SSTF1). They don't seem to appear at the tailor though

    Anyone else having this problem?

I think a team of all-Soldiers/Widows could be fun - but lacks the metal-crunching, fast-pacedness of say a Stalker, a Corrupter, a Brute, a Domi and an MM plus to very useful skills of a Soldier and/or Widow. Of course, team them up with Heroes on co-ops and you're well away.

    [/ QUOTE ]

you obviously haven't seen a VEAT team in action then. We have a team with 6 crab spiders, its incredible how fast mobs die. It is by far the most ruthlessly efficient team I've been on villainside

    Def vs Res

hmm, you missed out any decent fiery melee attacks

maneuvers is a pretty pointless power for a tank to take, Fire Sword Circle would increase your survivability far more as mobs would be dead. Greater Fire Sword does amazing damage for a tank.

You really really really don't need temperature portection

Whirlwind is awful, pretty much the only way you have of damaging stuff is if its next to you, whirlwind throws it away

Hasten is far better than Flurry

    [/ QUOTE ]

But I didnt ask about attacks.... I asked about Def & Res... ;p

Truth is i have an idea of the way I want my Tank to be. I dont like Fire Sword, i think its unrealistic and looks false and I dont want it as part of my set.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Post a rubbish build on a public forum and it will be criticised. Fine if you like to play that way but you are limiting your potential.

higher level vet powers: very much doubt they fit. lollipop and wand are obviously magic in origin and effect.

ona gam time note: How is everyone with Sunday 8pm for a playing time ?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Fine with me
  15. As long as it isn't a Monday or Thursday I'd be happy to roll up a TA/A defender

    And what about veteran powers?
  16. Death_Badger

    Fire/Dark?

You really can not take Plasma shield at 49, its the mez protection vs Sleep and Hold

Weave isn't really going to be a great help (even with the acc debuffs of dark melee)

The beauty of fire/dark for me is that you can take dark consumption and consume

I personally wouldn't miss Midnight Grasp out, Its the most damaging power in the set

3 end red in a shield is pretty pointless, they would be better used in attacks

3 recharge in Rise of the Phoenix!!! I sincerely hope you aren't planning on dieing that much!

Combat Jumping is an exercise in wasted slots, the defbuffs are adding virtually nothing, and it is one of the cheapest toggles to run in the game

Blazing Aura will need at least one accuracy in it

Just to let you know, Ouroboros is semi-co-op zone because both sides can acsess it. Although they can't see each other, they actually do pretty much the same stuff in there, except 3 TF's arent acsessable by villians.

Also, it's not the issues before, it's just the many of it recently.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Semi co-op??? as in not co-op at all...

And the missions are completely different, ie villains do villain missions, heroes do hero missions, and both have completely different SF/TFs

    [/ QUOTE ]

...which was pointed out in my OP.

Also, the Pilgrim (the only non-TF/SF contact in there) is both the same for heroes and villians, except the heroes have Outbreak and villians have Zig.

    [/ QUOTE ]

They do completely different stuff, they can't team up.

IT ISN'T CO-OP IN ANY WAY.

Another question that comes to mind.... has anyone ever selected SO as an end mission reward? I certainly haven't

    [/ QUOTE ]
I did back in I7 with my fire brute - twice - because back then you got a decent xp/inf bonus if you took the SO and not the respec (not sure if that is still true since I9 and the reward window change) and I was still levelling. In fact I did 2nd villain respec trial 4 times with him - twice I took respec (and got first two badges - still haven't used those respecs, heh), twice I took the SO.

Haven't done a respec trial since, on either side with any character - haven't needed to with the amount of freespecs and vet respecs flying around. I'd like to do the TV reactor trial at least once, but only to experience it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup as well as the SO or Rare Recipe you get a HUGE xp award.
  20. This is my build, going pet and AOE heavy, lmk if you think it needs any tweaks

    Claws for Brutes

Power Proliferation renders this sort of suggestion useless. Of course they will try to port across the majority of sets and I can see no reason why claws wouldn't be proliferated
  22. The current decorative item available seem to work a lot better in smaller roome.

It'll be interesting to see what people come up with if there is a base revamp next issue.

    50...

    [ QUOTE ]
Funniest for me was someone dinging 50 in the middle of the photo for Defiant several months ago, stood on the steps of City Hall!

Dunno who it was, but damn funny seeing about 80 people all saying gratz at the same time

    [/ QUOTE ]

Pretty sure that was Warengines Scrapper, Fierce, though my memory may be plying tricks on me

My main Dinged while faceplanted on Diabolique mission, the only way any self respecting blaster should ding
  24. A merge with Union would not be good. I play on both servers and whenever I'm on Union I get bombarded with blind invites, or illiterate tells, and when I have joined PuGs I've tended to get more debt than xp. It seems that Union may have more players but many haven't got a clue.

I'm not really a fan of villains, but I play in a regular team one night a week plus try to level up a few others (but can't seem to stay interested enough in the alts to get them past the 30s)
  25. You do know that Integration gives stun protection? Resilience just gives more on top which generally isn't needed.

L22 'too late in a scrappers career' just LOL, you don't have sufficiently big hitting attacks to make real use of it until the L26 and 32 attacks anyway

Global hp bonus isn't needed on a regen, they get this power called Dull Pain, which caps the HP

Why on earth does a scrapper need a ranged attack?

Torrent slotted with Ragnarok????? its a very low damage attack that does knockback, really not soemthing you want to spend a few hundred million slotting

Taking Weave just to slot a LOTG + recharge is ridculous, as is going into the flying pool to take hover, there are numerous powers wasted, and you wouldn't be ablo to attack constantly the extra toggles, all of that recharge and no stamina would see you drained pretty quickly.

IMO munecaron a terrible build, a balance needs to be struck on any build and gimping it in order to add recharge is pretty pointless
