I have my little comic half way done now, and i want to put it up on photobucket to show my friends. However, i don't know how to change the file type. Apparently you have to click "publish" in the file menu to convert the file type, but that button is greyed out for me. When i click "publish to hypercomics" it gives me an error dialogue saying that "Publishing to Hypercomis requires PDF Writer and Ghostscript to be installed. Please run hypercomics set up to install these programs."
Before i do this, i want to know:
1.) if these programs are 'safe'
2.) will this allow me to convert the files/pages of the comic to jpeg and other image formats?
Thanks

P.S.: I cannot print, either. That button is greyed out and when i use the shortcut (ctrl+p) nothing happens. My printer doesn't even flinch. Is this related to the above problem? -

Eeep!!

So many try, and so many fail. I am the only hero that I know of who has ever gotten "Regal" to look good.

What do we think? What do you think we think?
That's a great piece of art, but i have to agree with PMD... But then that may just be how the character is...
Anyway yeah, [echo] awesome! [/echo]

As awlays, amazing work, Gill. And, as always, i can't wait to see the finished products

Ah okay i see now. I was in a slight hurry when i read it, so i'm not suprised i missed something. I've also been having trouble reading lately... I can't seem to focus on what it is and i often lose my place between lines.
Sorry about that Static!

Not a bad start. There are of course a couple grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors but this is to be expected.
The only problem i have with it is that it sounds like he's going from being a hero to a painting thief. Did he just want to go into the museum after hours and check out a painting he liked (hence his reason for shapeshifting)? There's no really clear transition between the scenes and makes for a confusing read.
Minor flaws aside, it's good work! Keep it up!

Having seen the pencils for my piece, I would have waited a million years for it. It's worth every dime, nickel and penny.
Keep up the fantastic work.

Didn't that take a while to count?

More phenominal peices rox!
Heh, i need to hit you up for some coloring tips. How did you get such clean lines from such a sketchy piece?
Oh and as an afterthought, on strength, he's supposed to be wearing bracers, not gloves -
In response to gill, celtic, and cyberlynx.... That's just the way i learned to draw... I couldn't stand "how to..." books and i never really used referance material- except sometimes the comic books i find every so often. I always have and still do just draw straight from my imagination.
I guess it's not the best advice then... don't listen to me -
I don't know if you can call me a pro, but i can give you some tips.
Don't use "How to Draw" books (i never did anyway), they don't help IMHO. Just go out to a comic shop and look through some of the books, look for one (or a few) with some poses and a style you might like (perhaps your favorite artist) and take them home (pay for them, of course!) and trace the poses, faces, whatever you'd like to get better at creating. Sort of give yourself "lessons."
After you've traced a few and got a feel for the anatomy and such, try doing some work of your own. Use the books as referance material if you need to.
And, last but not least, always always ALWAYS use your imagination. -

Can't wait to see the colored ones rox! I'm horrible at coloring :/ -
Okay i got bored after i did strength and i did one of morph too. I hope you all don't mind.
So here are the sketches so far, as promised. However, i drew flame a little too light for the scanner to pick up so i'll be going over that one and post it a little bit later.
Here's Morph and Strength.
How do they look?
Edit: forgot to mention that they're on lined paper because when i did them i was in school and didn't have my sketch pad with me. -
Okay i finished flame... It's just a sketch right now though as i'm in school and don't have the "resources" to fine tune it (ink, etc.). I'm going to make an attempt to color it. But the color one porbably won't be too good so i'll post both the color version and the inked one.
I got bored after i finished so i drew strength too :P.
I'll scan them in when i get home. -
I suppose i can give this a try....
You said flame wasn't done yet? I'll try him. -

If only stone melee had rage.... *sigh*
Oh, and something like KO blow instead of fault. Grr.

Fault is part of what makes Stone Melee what it is. -
Energy might have better damage i guess but Stone Melee is very controller-y. With all its inherent knockback (it's got alot) your enemies will spend quite a bit of the fight on their backs. That's a major defense because they can't do anything while they're falling down. Some people don't always go for the most damaging set.
I don't know about Super Strength. -
Not sure if we've been posted or not but:

Hi, i'm new to the game-- just got it yesterday-- but i was inspired to draw this guy when i heard about CoH. I was sketching ideas for heroes i thought would be cool (though i had no idea what the character creation would yield at the time) to play as and thought i might post it here. Enjoy!
P.S. i have others. if anyone wants to see send me a PM.
