Just get some acc (70% ish), and rech (70%ish).
That's all you need. +Dam won't do much more than add maybe 10 dmg to your attacks, and it won't do anything when you use reds and BU -
If you're good youll use it when theyre on the ground and get good use out of it

I still wouldn't post a date even if people are "policing". It's not too tough to kill a PvE'r before dying, even if you have 2 people on you. Especially if those two people are stalkers lol

Yes tokyo, the champion league started falling apart around the halfway mark when there were only 2 teams left in the running for 1st, and only one other that still showe up. But we still got in tons of fun 8v8s, many new players joined and had a great time. I believe 5 of the players on my original 12 man roster were complete noobs at the start, and all became decent to very solid. And don't even start complaining about builds lol. You can make a legitimate psi/em for under a billion. Plus, every team is going to have players who can loan or donate IOs to the newer guys.

You don't really need PvPIOs and purples and really expensive stuff for casual pvp. You do however need to select the right powers and at least put in some sets with +hp and accuracy and a few other things. The amnount you put into the toon also depends on the build. You can make a blaster with capped HP, good acc and good recharge, veeeeerry cheaply.
And with three builds there's really no excuse to be unwilling to make a pvp build. -
CU if you just want to hang out and talk about whatever you want.
BMT if you want to "get **** done" like artic said.
I personally am in only BMT because I don't care about what the vast majority of you have to say, and I don't want my chat box filled with random blabber. If you're a more social person that's into the game for the social aspect, then CU is probably the way to go. -
So artic, kat, dex, lib, fates makes 5 teams. If we can get one more we'd have enough for a league to start.

I'd recommend that you can submit a roster of as many people, maximum of 6, and if you are under 6 people, you get to draft people first, until all rosters have 6. Then continue the draft in a normal fashion.
I think this basically makes it easier to get teams signed up, and also close the gap between the best and worst teams. -

I agree with b witched on pretty much all counts. Core of 4 should make it more even, even if one is still clearly the best. It'll also get more involved.
Id rather not be a capt but I'm happy to give opinions when the rules are being hammered out.
also if you want my ****** blaster/emp/stalker, I may or may not play for you depending on whether I like you.

The energy blaster could work fine for zones if you aren't interested in min/maxing and you're a slow leveler. Get a PvP build on it, and you'll do okay. Fire, psi, sonic, rad, or archery blasters will be a better overall but energy could work. The survivability will be the same as any other blaster (Maybe higher in SC since a lot of people might not have KB prot in their build by then), it'll just do less damage.
Edit: I personally wouldnt use an energy blaster, but it could be done. If you really enjoy it but are wishing for more dmg, then you can reroll to whatever. -

I still think it's funny that he thinks fire requires more skill than sonic. I mean no blast set is really that dificult......but it doesnt get much easier than spamming flares with an occasional blaze

Here's a build I whipped up in about 20 minutes. I am sure it can be improved, cause I didn't really look at it too much. It has a pretty good amount of hp (175% bonus, coming out to 2634). It has phase and aid self. You really shouldn't die on it. I know I told you to take web nades earlier, and thats what you do to benefit a team most, but I get the impression you are a more casual player, and probably want to be able to do dmg. So, I took fossilize on the build, and triple procced it. Cleave is quad-procced. Those are going to be your heavy hitters. Chop is double procced if you need a quicker attack, and you also have the immob, but thats DoT dmg.
The negatives:
Battle axe will always be inferior to sets like SS
The build is a little light on accuracy, and doesn't have tactics. As such, youll want to team with an emp and have them give you fort and CM. If you cant find a team with semi-competent players, bring in some yellows or something. Or don't attack defense based characters.
There's definitely ways to improve this build, so if you're willing to plop down several billion, send me a PM and I'll hook you up with an upgraded version. Although, like others have previously stated, BA/WP is not a toon worth a huge investment in PvP.
Oh yeah, don't skimp on accos. They're important.
