I thought it was pretty clear from the beginning the guy was "unsure" and wanted to confirm something he may have been thinking.
When he asked if it was a toggle power I think it was pretty clear that it was "uncertainty" vs the suggested lack of reading comprehension or conceptual difficulties.
I don't think any other explanation is needed since he already thanked people for their responses that apparently cleared up his uncertainty. -
Quote:I used to respond like this to when I was younger. I mean it is pretty clear "to me" and maybe to you, but to the OP, they must have been unsure. That is why they asked a question that seems so clear to others."This grocery store has increased your maximum apples by 5%."
Hey guys, can you tell me what this means? Do you have more apples or something?
To hammer them about being unsure is the mean part. -
Shockingly some people read that and are still not sure so they come here to confirm. No biggie info conveyed.

Quote:Up to this point I think people were expressing the usual concern about Petless MM's. When people start talking performance the conversation takes on a different life than the OP had intended.Performance-wise, my previous petless Mastermind was able to solo many of the Elite Bosses in the game without Inspirations or Temporary Powers. These include, among others, Black Scorpion, Romulus Augustus, Lt. Sefu Tendaji, Adamastor and Snaptooth.
Yes, people are going to challenge this kind of non specific claim. When I read it I was thinking not the EB's at level 54. As it turned out they were even level 51's that are orange. I doubt I would have bothered to post if that info was provided at the start of the boast. -

Draeth Darkstar. Would you be kind enough to adjust your sig. Every thread you are in gets messed up by your long sig. Thank you.

Quote:No it is more like calling the king out for not wearing any clothes. Everyone can see it, it just takes one person to verbally point it out.Calling something nerf-herding is a way for you to not engage in a dialogue.
If this were the first nerf herding attempt regarding kinetics then I might not be as critical, but it is not and the arguments showing it is not OP have been made ad nausem.
In the end someone not calling it what it is "nerf herding", explains one of the stat/game related reasons that have been explained for the six years I have been here and things return to the next item to be attacked by the nerf herders only to have the process repeated.
This is at the same time that some calls for reasonable needed adjustments to sets is done and the difference is not hard to spot if you have watched it for six years. -

Quote:This is not a call for fixing anything, it is yet another attention gathering nerf herding call period. There is no benefit to nerf herding and it hurts the game.Calling for something to be fixed is hardly bad play. I thought that helping the devs make things in the game work better (balance) was a general benefit to the game.
I suggest you come up with an actual argument instead of just trying to shut someone down from making a point. Too bad you aren't up to the effort involved.
In terms of shutting someone down, calling out nerf herding where applicable is not "trying to shut someone down from making a point". Saying it is, is nothing more than a bold faced lie.
You are better than that right? -

Oh yet another nerf Kinetics thread disguised as a "re-balancing" discussion. Cute, semi-effective and a better disguise than most of the recent nerf herder threads.
The answer is still no, but you get a golf clap for the college try. -
Quote:That does not matter around here. Some people have been actively trying to get SS nerfed for the entire six years I have been here. Based on the fact that the set has been review more than a few times by the devs and their comments about SS, they are not changing it anytime in the foreseeable future. They already tweaked the set so that brutes could keep aggro during the crash they obviuously don't feel the set needs balancing.
Them saying that does not stop forum nerf herders from trolling the topic up again from time to time. -
Quote:I agree with this post.Eh.
Rage, crash and all, is one of the defining items of Super Strength. Get rid of it, and - well, why not just take Street Justice instead? Or Martial Arts? It turns it into more "just punch stuff."
I play a fair amount of SS, but I don't think anyone would refer to me as a min/maxer (or even really caring about the numbers.) And yet I think this would just make the set more... bland for me.
Yes, I actually *like* the rage crash. It's kind of a mini-game for me when I've got a pile of enemies burying me and I see that icon start flashing. No crash? It's like build up. Boring. With it? It's "Can I finish these before I'm down to doing 1 pt of damage or not?" -

The best content in the game? Whatever AE arc I am working on at the moment.

Not the best I have encountered by far. However, since the staff fighting debacle I think them taking the advice to communicate more directly and more often was taken to heart.
The result has been "superb" communication in recent months. Keep it up devs. -
