I need a good song for this video. I'm tempted to use "Magic Man" by Heart, but on the other hand, I think it needs something big and sweeping and over-the-top orchestral bombastic.

Currently, our gaming group in Seattle is full.

And Bloodspeaker and I recently introduced them to Betrayal at House on the Hill... oh wow, that went over well. We're already trying to plan when to play it again (when we're not having our regular RPG night - I run Legend of the Five Rings.)

I've played through the Resistance/Warden arc (and ironically, went Loyalist on the VERY LAST MISSION), and then played the Loyalist/Responsiblity arc (and ironically, went Resistance on the VERY LAST MISSION). It was the weirdest thing - "I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine... no, THAT just crosses the line right there. No." While playing in-character (and very different characters and backgrounds), I just could not stay true to that ideal all the way to the bitter end. Just couldn't.

All that aside, at least we (mostly) agree on the fact that GR's writing fits the Shades of Grey motif - we can argue and justify our actions, there is no clearly defined sense of right and wrong.

And it's some damn good writing.

The more I see what you guys can create, the more amazed I am, so I'm curious if folks have bases with the following:

a) Recording studio/film studio of any kind. It'd be fantastic if Samuraiko Productions could have its own film studio in the game.

b) Space station (I know @Turbo Starr made one, but was curious if anyone else managed a similar look)... ESPECIALLY if you can make the rest of the base resemble the new Praetorian tech lab maps.

c) Scientist's lab - specifically (and here's your challenge), if you were going to build a lab for Neuron and/or Anti-Matter - I only need their main workroom, not the ENTIRE lab.

d) Mystic, other-dimensionally located room - someone did one a while back that it look like stars and planets and whatnot in total blackness... no idea who it was, but I'd LOVE to see it recreated.

If you've got existing rooms that might meet any of these, please post screenshots, and include the server name!

Hey, I'm just glad to see that a) we're getting more vids and b) they're getting uploaded faster for others to see. Ads for the events? The booster packs? Teasers for the Task Forces? This is MAJOR progress!

Not that I'm aware of... however, there's been a long-standing joke on Justice that PC's football team would be the Paragon City Enforcers. (I then took the joke one step farther by doing a mockup Sports Illustrated cover where Jim Temblor (Faultline) joins the team.)

Well, it seems that Jim has reserved the name on every server. (Smart man.) So, if anyone on here happens to know Jim (or Jim, if you see this), I would love to make a video for Harry Dresden in Paragon City. (And thanks to the joys of demo editing, I can mix and match powersets to give him whatever powers are appropo... and am quite capable of setting entire buildings on fire or blowing up cars spontaneously for the right effect.)



(Only problem is that there is no male face in the game NEARLY as hot as whoever Christian McGrath gets to model for Harry on the book covers... *sigh*)

Lots of good advice on here already - and yes, Grav/Energy can be a tough set to start as a Dominator, but once you get going, you GO! Something else to keep in mind as you play is whether you intend to go more damage-heavy or control-heavy, and remember that you can always respec if you try one path and find you'd rather go the other.

If you should happen to be on Justice, give @Blood Speaker a yell (my husband) - he took a grav/en dom from 1-50 BEFORE they made the changes in the Dominator AT, and has given some really good advice on tactics and powers. Banestar remains one of his favorite characters to play.

I wonder what server he plays on - I read Book I of the DRESDEN FILES as sort of a 'get an idea what this series is' thing when a friend started running the RPG, and just got sucked in. I don't know whether I'd thank him or slap him. (Or hey, I can even make an in-game vid for him! "Screw Chicago, Harry Dresden is now saving Paragon City!")
