Found this when recording on the Test server. I had several players join me in the "Beat the Skulls in the Superadine Lab" mission, and swapped out the Skulls for Family and Mooks instead.

Playing the regular demofile works fine. Playing the Family/Mook version? Breaks because of the Ragdoll code. Not sure why. If someone wants to take a look at it, you're welcome to. I'd really like to get it working with the Ragdoll text so the Mooks are not dying in midair and then falling flat to the ground.

The birthday was fairly low-key - had to work the first half of the day (although my boss had no problems with me leaving work after lunch). Came home, spent a bit of quiet time with hubby, took a much-needed nap, then went out to dinner with John and Chris (ex-boyfriend who's still a very good friend of mine) for Japanese food.

Tonight we'll be going out with the gang for ice cream or cake or something. After I get filming done.

*shrugs* I never claimed to be the voice of canon when I started writing "The Course of Superhero Romance." And it may well be that Positron has a crush on Ms Liberty, but she's significantly younger than he is, not to mention the granddaughter of his boss. That's tricky ground. Strictly for myself, I have Positron with Dr. Tavarisch because she's closer to his age, not quite as invested in the ins-and-outs of the Phalanx, and is a soldier, not a hero.

As for the rest of your characterizations, I think they're spot on. I've not explored Synapse being in love with Mynx, although I have him flirting heavily with Andrea Blake in TCoSR because they're both only in it for the short term.

Well, I don't know if my particular love story would qualify as "good", but I think one reason why Positron and Tava work well as a couple is because of their differences, as well as their similarities. They have enough in common to draw them together, and enough differences to keep things interesting.

Besides, I don't know about anyone else, but when it's all candy and roses and vanilla, it gets boring. I want couples that have highs and lows and everything in between. When a relationship has (and survives) that, it makes me cheer them on.

Word of advice, Sonic - don't use FRAPS while you're actually PLAYING. Demorecord your mission, whatever, play it back, and THEN use FRAPS, you use far less system resources.

One of my multitude of tentative projects is to actually do every TF in the game and set them to music. (Something to help give the flavour of each TF.) The rest of the Star Patrol (our SG on Justice) and the Nova Dominion (our VG on Justice) would probably be in on it.

But the sheer amount of PLAYING time required would be staggering.
