There's "Gangbuster", which is required for an Accolade, and which is EXTREMELY easy to get in St. Martial if you head to The Flop and just run laps) - bosses spawn all over the place. 200 in an hour or so is NOT a problem, especially if you take friends. If you widen your radius, you can also get the Gladiator badges for Blue Ink Men Tsoo, Ancestor Spirits, and Spider Smasher without much more effort. With a little luck, you can even score Tracer (Tsoo Sorcerers) that way.

For the one of killing Dons, that one I don't know about, other than they're apparently much harder to find.

Personally I love /em calculate - it's a very nifty effect, as is the serum costume change. These are so going into the Tavarisch/Positron video...

And my husband is thrilled to death, because he has been asking for neck bolts since he first got into the game back in Dec 2006.

Of course... if you REALLY want to have fun with rampant speculation, it could be they're waiting on bubble helmets for...

Well, I started writing Book 2 today while I was at work... depending on whether the SMEs that are supposed to email me back actually DO, I might have time to finish Chapter 1 of TCoSR2: Courtship and Crime Fighting.

And I really need to find an artist to do the cover for the second book...

National Novel Writing Month. Starts 12:01am November 1st, goes til 11:59pm November 30th. You have to write a 50000 word novel in 30 days. You can prep stuff beforehand (outlines, character concepts, etc), but you can't write a single word of the book until 12:01am Nov 1st.

I say that we do a version of this where you have to write a CoH/CoV novel, either about an established NPC in the game, or like I did with TCoSR, your character interacting with the CoH/CoV world.

Arwen is right - so it's not so bad when you've got a few folks sharing a dish of something-or-other. And btw, some Buca's now do single-portion size.

As for afterward, I'd be up for pool or bowling or whatever, since I've no idea if Matt's running another charity D&D game, and if I'll get into it if he does.

But Buca does have good food, and good desserts. And if the one in Mountain View is anything like the one in Vegas, we should have a killer time. (The owner of the Vegas restaurant was one of the nicest guys I've met in ages, and a very good restaurant manager as well.)

Heroes: Positron and Synapse. But especially Positron. So much so that I wrote a damn book about him. (And Synapse too.)

Villains: Tough call, but I'd actually go with Recluse. He really seemed to be teetering on the edge of good guy/bad guy until he drank from the Fountain, and then it all just went wrong.

My deepest condolences to you, and to your friend's family.

I'll add my voice to the chorus about being an overweight gamer (as is my husband - I'm 35, he's 44). However, last year we both went on doctor-monitored restricted diets and managed to lose a great deal of weight (and then put it back on due to laziness on our parts, admittedly).

I WISH I could remember which LiveJournal friend of mine has some geek-rig hooked up to his/her computer that you power your computer by pedaling like a bike - if you stop pedaling, your computer powers down.
