Quote:You should be careful with responding to people 3 posts up without quotes. I was trying to figure out how I possibly insulted you when I wasn't even responding to you.Insulting me wasn't necessary. Also you should be careful assuming anything.
Also, I don't see how MustachedHero insulted you either, but that's between the two of you. -
Quote:On a high-level team? Absolutely spawns will drop faster than you can drain End. Enemies cheat in the first place by being able to attack on much less endurance than us puny players can. Pretty much anything that's not an AV/GM will be dead or dying before you can sap it (maybe you can sap an EB before it's fully down, but why bother, it's not really a significant threat in a team environment anyway). AVs are somewhat difficult to sap down to 0, and even if you manage it they won't really stay down there unless you focus on keeping them there to the exclusion of other more useful activities, like doing damage or engaging in other (better) forms of mitigation. And good luck sapping a GM, you can do it with some of the lower-level ones but they have pretty hefty recovery. My aim is not to make him a solo toon. My original question if this style is viable was with groups in mind. So you think that groups drop spawns faster than I can drain End?
End drain can be very useful in a solo or small team environment, since while not stopping enemy attacks entirely it does effectively reduce their attack rate. But on a big team, especially on Incarnate content, forget about it. -

May we assume that this redname acknowledgment of a non-50 WST during 2XP Weekend means it won't be changed to a 50-only WST before 2XP Weekend begins? Because I seem to recall that happening before.
-
They made Apex the WST this week precisely because of 2XP. Count on Tin Mage in a couple weeks.
-
They've already done this. Keep an eye out for ZombCare billboards, just as an example.

My first thought upon entering this thread: "I hate this thread and the person who started it; also, I want to die."
-
Also consider using the Performance Shifter: +End proc as your third slot in Stamina, it will on average give you more end/sec than a third slotted enhancement will.
As far as Incarnate Abilities go, if you're hard up for Endurance you'll definitely want to pursue the Cardiac Alpha tree. -
Yeah, and it's not fair to those of us who didn't start playing until later either! I mean, how was I supposed to know all this was coming 7 years ago? If I had known I totally would have subbed at launch and not let my sub lapse a few times.

With the exception of Positron's TF (which was revamped and split into two pretty short TFs), none of the old TFs were changed. The difference is that now we have builds tweaked with IOs, players who know the content inside and out so it's not a bunch of noobs running around like chickens with their heads cut off, and travel times are much shorter due to a wealth of shortcut travel powers (Ouroboros, Mission TP, Assemble the Team). Then you get into the high-level TFs, like all_hell said, where a team of 8 with Incarnate abilities and super-tweaked builds can curbstomp the entire thing in less than half an hour if done correctly.

Quote:On top of the other observations that the mouse isn't over the Harmonized Healing enhancements, all of the other new IO sets bear the icon of the archetype they correspond to, there's no reason Will of the Controller should be any different.Hold on, if you look at the position of that mouse-over text it looks like Will of the Controller recycled the Harmonized Healing set image. Not only that but Temporal Selection can't be a Healing power Heal isn't a control which is clearly what Will of the Controller says it goes into.
Comic-Con. -
Then that's at least an extra 22%(ish), I think you should be fine.
EDIT: Tossed together a quick thing in Mids that has 185% global recharge (Hasten on), 2 level 50 IOs in Hasten, Spiritual Radial Alpha. Hasten has a downtime of 112 seconds under these conditions, which is in fact Perma. The third IO is only giving you an extra 2 seconds by this point. -
"Black Widow to Iron Man or Thor -- I could use some air support. Because I can't fly. At all."
-
Perma-Hasten needs +275% recharge. By my numbers, 2 level 50 recharge IOs puts Hasten at 269%, not quite enough for Perma but close enough by any reasonable definition.

If you have a nuke, Ageless is the best Destiny power. Crashless nuke ftw!

Quote:They shouldn't, but they shouldn't ignore some of their players either. At least previous code giveaways on Twitter and Facebook were open to everyone (Twitter and Facebook members did have a bit of an advantage, though, but that's fair). Why should NCSoft ignore Facebook just because some of their players do?
Anyway, I remembered that I already had a Fakebook account, so Mr. ***** *. ***** was able to snag a code for me. Funny though, I thought I was the only one who had thought to do this. -

I would guess that Rhode Island has some sort of law about contests like this (which means it's out of the devs' hands), although the irony is really pretty hilarious.

Quote:But the limit for most low level TFs is already 3-4.They need to reduce the party limits to something like 4 now for most of the TFs. Its much harder to find lower level TF teams than it used to be.
Quote:i personally hate looking for pads to start a tf small team or solo
it almost wont matter though cause when freedom hits i plan on getting a few free accounts for buff/debuff bots which can also be used as pads
I would imagine the reason is that, storywise, it's meant to be a challenge faced by a team of heroes/villains rather than solo. The fact that players have found a way to circumvent that and complete these challenges solo is irrelevant. You may not care about the story, but the devs do. -
I guess players who aren't Facebook members don't matter (but then, why would they matter to this transparent attempt at marketing).
And oh hey, forum logout bug while trying to respond to this thread (for the second time in a matter of minutes). -
Kin/EA Brute will give you stealth in Energy Cloak, although you may consider the EA toggles too flashy (I believe you can color them down so they're not as noticeable though). EA has its weak points but is getting a buff next issue (Conserve Power replaced with Energize, one of the toggles is getting a +Recharge aura similar to Invincibility's +Def, Energy Drain adds +Def along with its +End), as well as being proliferated to Scrappers if you prefer that archetype. (But you'll have to wait a few months for that...) As far as concept goes, Kin/EA is a nice fit thematically, and I've been enjoying mine up to level 26 (but he's shelved until the buff).

Quote:You can certainly attempt to solo a TF although I have my doubts about a Corr doing so (has this been done yet? I knows Doms have soloed some). But even then, you would still need to find people to pad the thing, which may be problematic if you can't find people. (Incidentally: is it that your server is truly empty, you play during times when the server is empty? Have you tried finding teams on your server's global channels?)Hmm. So i just uh do tip missions and get shards to combine? i don't assume there are any task forces that can be done "alone" ? I am level 50 and a bit squishy (corr) but i did manage to cap s/l and get nrg to 30 or so (plus im dark so fearsome/anchor help me live a little bit.)
I'm red side on a server that is kinda.. empty alot of the time... so i'm not certain what exactly is the best path to keep building on my character. He's the first one i've ever gotten to 50, i like playing him enough to want to go on though.
Thanks for some info, any other direct (go here, this might be doable) kinda suggestions are also welcome. My global (im only on triumph) is @Cinderfang
Beyond that, yeah, you're stuck running Tips/Paper Missions/other repeatable content (Borea in RWZ, Marcus in Cimerora, a number of contacts in the Shadow Shard) for Shards. And yeah, it's gonna take you a while to accumulate what you need.
