Quote:That example is, yes. The example from the OP is a very easy mistake both to make and miss in QA.I remember a forum poster saying they'd collected a list of every typo they could find and the document was pretty sizeable. These are just six examples, and there are hundreds (maybe a thousand or so) more. You can call it hilarious all you want, but the fact remains that this game really does need someone to proofread it. Did you look at the errors in SSA7? Did you?
Mind explaining how that got through? That is unacceptable. What's more unacceptable is that typos can be reported in Beta and ignored for several issues.
And yeah you kinda need to chill a bit. Yes, some of the text errors in this game are pretty sad, but they're really not game-breaking in the slightest. -

I think I've only ever seen a DFB team specifically not want to get Corpse Counter maybe once. It's a stupidly easy badge to get and anyone who doesn't want to make the "effort" at helping someone else get it is not worth teaming with under any circumstances and should be immediately one-starred (and possibly placed on global ignore).
As for Brotherly Love, yeah that one is just a pain. The DFB badges had the right idea, tasks that are pretty easy to get while still requiring you to know what to do (as opposed to getting the badge passively). True, Corpse Counter can be ruined by one idiot with AoEs, but then the same can be said of almost any cooperative badge. -

I'll be honest, I never noticed this typo, and I usually do notice them. Although I agree that the game's long-standing typos (although this isn't one of them) should just be fixed, this is hardly the straw that breaks the camel's back, and taken by itself makes "unacceptable" a hilarious overstatement.

I've said it before, I've said it again, and I will continue saying it until the devs freaking get it:
The in-game description editor needs to be fixed (nay, wholesale replaced) before any another changes are made. -
Quote:Unless you only have 2 of your 3+ characters unlocked while F2P, in which case you could still lose a bunch of your characters.Since the game is now F2P, it's easy enough to log in at your leisure to make sure you keep your names.
Also, no for all the other reasons the others mentioned. -
I think the statue of limitations on revealing spoilers for Hess expired like 7 years ago. (By the way, Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father, and Germany lost World War II.) And WWD7 was mentioned by another poster, not the OP.

"Yesterday!" would have been a funnier punchline. C-

Quote:I didn't, but that's because my Claws Scrapper uses Shockwave's KB smartly (and there's no room in her build for the proc anyway). For their sake, I hope anyone who didn't instantly think "claws scrapper!" upon seeing that IO at least thought "claws brute!" instead.

...What's the spoiler here?

Quote:PEDANT ALERTExcept that's a bad analogy. If they give you $20, they no longer have it. With the O Portal, they can 'give' you one while losing nothing. I feel it's more like asking someone for a light for your cigarette. You're not taking their lighter, just asking them to use it once on your behalf.
Technically, you're actually using a very small amount of their lighter fluid.
Better analogy: It's like asking someone to check their watch for the time. -
I couldn't believe I got Mr. Science way back in Issue 4 (Mister Science had been taken, though). I was also quite pleased to get Qubit when CoV went live. And somehow, no one took Werewolf Bar Mitzvah, so that's a Primalist placeholder (unless I don't like Primalists, in which case I guess I'll use it for a Claws Scrapper or something).

Quote:Did you even read what I said? THERE IS NOT A DIFFERENCE. Go on live server with an Energy Blaster right now. Go ahead, do it. I'll wait. Okay? Look for someone who hates knockback, and then team with them. What's that? You got kicked because you have tons of knockback and there is currently no way to mitigate it on Live? Well holy crap! How is this better than a universe where mitigation exists but you simply choose not to use it anyway? As far as you're concerned, nothing has changed. Even Chicken Little thinks you should slow down and think this through a bit. Also, as many others have said, it's apparently unique, so you're not gonna be able to slot this across your build even if you want to.I actually hope you're right. But...my actual -experience- with elitist gamers tells me this will happen. Call it a gut feeling that it will happen when this goes live, unless they change the proc before then. *shrug*
And all of that aside, in the 6+ years I've been playing the game I have never been kicked from a team because of my powers or build. Ever. EVER. So y'know, maybe find people to team with who aren't complete jerks, or maybe the problem lies with you and you need to learn how to conrol your knockback better. I dunno, I don't know anything about you, I'm not casting judgment, just laying out the possibilities. Either way, the fault does not lie with the devs. -
Quote:If you get kicked because you don't have the proc, you would have still been kicked if the proc didn't exist. There is literally no difference. Sorry, but your reaction to this is completely overblown, ridiculous, and based in no existing reality.Except not. I can fully see people kicking someone with KB from the team with the reasoning being "you don't have the converter proc. And I hate KB."
I have in the past been kicked from teams simply because I did not have a certain power that everyone else picks or an "optimal" build that softcaps all positional defense ratings.
I'm sorry, but I don't find playing "cookie cutter" builds fun. If everyone is running around with the same powers/set bonuses/etc., where is the individuality to the game?
You. Are. Wrong. -
Quote:It's true and has been true for a while. It won't damage enemies or you.Can someone confirm this? When I ran my main through the alpha unlock arc I used telekinesis to push and hold Trapdoor into the lava to defeat him. Also used it one some of the baddies at the end of the first SSA. Would be a shame if this fun "technique" was no longer doable.

More rare Invention Origin sets that don't fill in the gaps we currently have (such as Resistance)? Eh no thanks. Besides, the devs have stated that they plan to phase out Shards eventually.

Yes, however this does not appear to work above level 50, which is what the OP was asking. Mids doesn't currently appear to support enhancement boosters.
