If you're going by single 12v rail amp, the 550W clocks in at 25A on the third rail (with the first two at 22A) while the 650W has 52A on its single 12v rail. Thing about PSUs is that you should get more than what you need at any one time. I picked up a 1000W PSU w/83A on 12v. Did I need that much? Nope. But it sure is nice to have it.

I would go with the 650W.

So...character growth is reset back to zero. Barbara Gordon has no good reason to go back to being Batgirl when there's two already available for that title. Her going back to Batgirl is equivalent to Dick going back to being Robin. She's outgrown it and that persona.

As well as saying that psychopath known as Damian is still Robin. They want to have their cake and eat it too. Reset everything, but oh wait, not quite. Keep the crap but jettison the good stuff. And yes, they are pretty much jettisoning all the character growth that has happened since CoIE.

How many times have they been "reimagined" in the last 10 years? How many different origin stories have we gotten for Superman, Batman, etc? Which one is "true" now?

Seems to me, that they want to take it back to the start because they've run out of ideas and want to retell the same stories again but only slightly different.

Except it's NOT affecting everything. If they really wanted to reboot, they would go whole hog. Instead, we get an even more confusing mess of "It still happened" combined with a reboot.

One of the stated goals was to make it so that new readers could jump in without knowing a whole lot of backstory. But if things like Brightest Day, Killing Joke, Damian Wayne, all still happened, but everything was compressed into 5 years or so, people are going to even more confused.

So...you were planning on spending the movie just staring into Conan's eyes?

Presuming, in fact, that as people get longer-lived that they'll want to have kids. If you can have the knowledge that you'll effectively live forever, then there is no real impetus to breed and produce a new generation. Barring wanting the "experience" of having a kid. Just because someone can live to 1000, does not mean they'll be having kids that long. Heck, just look at our society now. People in their 30's and 40's just starting to have children vs how it was even a hundred years ago.

Such life extensions will probably be hideously expensive. Probably 95% of the population will be unable to afford them outright. Others will have to take out "life-mortgages" to pay for the procedures. The people who are poor or bad credit-risks will not get 'em; they'll live, breed, and die as usual.

The article in and of itself sounds A LOT like the Future History storyline by Robert Heinlein. Or possibly Niven's Ringworld setup (been a while since I read that stuff).

In other words, they'll be able to sell you a pill every day, but won't actually "cure" old-age! After all, much more profit-effective to not actually "cure" it, but rather to keep it at bay...

I'm not worried about a population overage. As a being's life span approaches immortal, their reproduction rate approaches zero.

But I wonder if Woodrow Wilson Howard is somehow involved in this...

Sideswipe is good, yes, but you shouldn't have Sideswipe without Sunstreaker. Had they flopped those characters around, it would've been better.

The destruction of Chicago gives a perfect excuse for the Autobots to rebuild with Metroplex or Omega Supreme. Creation of a new Autobot, along with helping the humans to rebuild. It wouldn't even have to transform into a mega-bot, just have the ability to transform from a city into a defensive base.

Go back to the original combiners. The Aerialbots, along with the Stunticons, Combaticons, Protectorbots, etc., all were good. That first "Devastator" could've been a Decepticon trial run for real combiners. Heck, the story could even be written that the new batch of Constructicons help with the rebuilding of Chicago, surreptiously of course, and do something with Metroplex's spark/code/whatever. The Autobots need to field their combiners to stop him.

You can only bash in Megatron's face so many times. They need to face ever increasing threats. Unicron's about the biggest threat there is. Hell, could even fix it such that what happened to Cybertron was only appearance/visual side effect of the bridge closing and not its actual physical destruction. Cybertron "wakes up" and becomes Unicron. Yes, I know it doesn't fit in the lore, but it would allow for Cybertron to somewhat be shown again.

That ain't Mirage. Mirage is one of my favorites from the original toys/toons. Along with Shockwave (never got to have one of him, a friend did but never let anyone else play with it ). They can call it what they want, but that ain't him.

Hell no. I want Unicron dangnabit! Cybertron itself was massively cool from what we got to see of it and I wanna see a similarly awesome Unicron. The only things better than getting Unicron would be the Dinobots, Superion/Bruticus/Metroplex/etc, or them finding some of the Maximals and Predacons.

Saw it. Liked the explodey bits. Carly was a nice piece of eye candy. And I understand why Dylan didn't have a Heel-Face Turn, simply because the best he could hope for is a firing squad if/when the Autobots/Humanity won.

Thoughts:

Who was the red Autobot? Poor ol' Ironhide, constantly getting killamajigged. Surprised the Flying Dutchman (gotta be a Firefly AND an Halo:ODST reference there - even though Wash wasn't in ODST, Dutch was played by Jayne and forget the name of Mal's character) didn't get impaled on some random bit of metal. Unicron's gotta show up in the next one...reasoning being that the space bridge was some kind of interstellar/galactic beacon to him. Wish Skywarp and Thundercracker were innit. Wheelie was not quite as annoying and actually useful for a change.

And one of the newspaper articles called her, "Rising Star". I mean, come on, could they get much more blatant?

I have my reasons. Mostly due to the fact that by using/buying any Steam game, you are giving up any and all First Sale rights. It's not strictly limited to Steam, but outside of an MMO and DLC for xbox games, any game that requires that of me is not purchased or played by me.

I'm not against digital download services, after all, I buy stuff from GOG. But I don't buy any that require me to tie them to an account that they have the capability of closing out at any point with little to no recourse on my end or games that are priced anywhere near their boxed counterparts.

Well, local store's PC game rack is limited to about 20 sq. ft (of which, half is either game cards for Facebook games or those mystery/item collection game). By comparison, their xbox/PS3/Wii racks are ginormous.

For me, PC gaming is all but dead. I can't really think of anything coming out that I feel an overwhelming need to get. I might look into Skryim at some point, provided it isn't a Steam-based game, but eh.

The one I got has 83A on the 12v rail. Should be sufficient for pretty much any vid card (or 2) I ever want to get in the future.


The good thing about this build is that if I ever need to, I can always change it out. I could easily see keeping this case for as long as the fans hold out and the ATX form factor for mobos is kept. I'm not one that is constantly on the upgrade treadmill. I will use a comp for as long as it's feasibly possible and still useful. I mean, heck, I still have a Pentium Pro 200 box and a Tandy 1000 that still work.
