Just wanted to add my verification to this issue. Running some Maria's Praetorians missions, and against the Malaise one (in the sewers) with diff set at +2/+0 he spawned as a 54. When reset to +0/+0 he was a 50.

Welcome Doc!
I'm getting tired of having to beat you up in game, so I'm hoping for better things!

Got another one, this time from Alex (iamgesbyalex on DA).
You can visit my DA page to find it. I think I misplaced a link to my page somewhere around here....

That's good to know. I think most of us have been made whole in one way or another, so that's a bit of a relief.

Yeah, I wish there were a couple more options for the collar there, but that costume looks good as is.

I was wondering....I clicked my bookmark just the other day to see if there was a new one. I was just a bit too early I guess.

Here's what I have, for comparison:
Dell XPS M1710
Core 2 Duo T7400 @2.16 GHz
4 Gb Ram
NVidia DeForce Go 7950 GTX 512 Mb
Windows XP
17" screen @ 1920x1200
They will tend to run hot, and will shut down if they get too hot. I'd strongly recommend a cooling pad. I don't have experience with that particular vid card, but my system runs just fine. -
Quote:Hey there, purchasing my first laptop (definitely more of a desktop person but I've found myself with the need for a laptop enough times that I'm looking now).
Anywho, was wondering if this was a good looking config?
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P8800 (2.66 GHz, 3 MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB)
4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 130M
18.4" diagonal High Definition HP Ultra BrightView Infinity Display (1920x1080p)
Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card
8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
I can provide any other data but that seemed the most relevant... my main concerns are:
1. Is that enough Memory to run that rig properly?
2. Is the graphic card overkill?
1. 4 Gb is plenty for this game. Unless you run a 64-bit windows you'll only see around 3 Gb of it.
2. I'm running a 512 Mb NVidia card on my laptop and would have gotten more if I could have at that time. I think the game will use up pretty much what you have, depending on how you se your settings. Mine are not maxed out by any means, running 1920x1200 widescreen.
I would recommend getting a cooling pad to run it on....I got a NZXT Cryo LX, which is actually wider than my 17" widescreen laptop, and have liked the results. -
Quote:I can provide an SG base for you if you want. I'm still pretty much sitting on top of a base with a 5 million prestige grant (pre-i13) that has most of the teleporters (the city zones but no hazard/co-op zones).
I can recover a ton of it, as most of the base is still on very basic control and a turbine generator (carried over from live), and the plot size is ridiculously huge for what's in there right now.
***ADDENDUM
About half a million free at the moment. Sitting on a secure plot, all TP pads (but not all beacons) placed but had to break out into two control rooms to cover control for adding more TP beacons). If we can score the supercomputer, we can eliminate one of the control rooms and possibly drop back to a cheaper hidden plot.
No need to wipe the base....I have one that's fully equipped with still 10 mill prestige to spare. It's normally only used during beta testing, so it's generally open every other day.
There's just some bug with the power generator not producing power, which I /bug reported, so when they fix that it should be golden. Anyway, all the porters and storage are there, with super computer and a plot size with room to spare. And it's available to be used. -
I like WS and Seagate as well, and there are a few other generally reliable brands, as well.
For the size, I'd really go as big as you think you need, then get a size larger. I got one to store vids and pics and back up CoH, and it goes faster than you'll imagine.
I always compare it to closet space - how ever large one you get you will fill it up.
Of course, the first PC I used didn't even have a hard drive - dual floppy - so storage space has been an issue with me since the beginning.
But I've never regretted having too much. -

Quote:I will have to make sure I have test server downloaded by then
No need to DL it. Take your CoH folder, make a copy (add Test to the name or something). Then take the shortcut to start it up with the following in the Target cox:
"C:\Program Files\CohTest\CohUpdater.exe" -test
(CohTest in this case being the folder name)
That should do it. You'll just DL the patches since i-16 went live, which should be one or two smallish ones.
