Quote:Thanks, Texas Justice, but the post was really a backhanded way of suggesting to the people selling this stuff that they might make an effort to show their own merchandise.YouTube is your friend. Just search for City of Heroes Staff and you should be able to find plenty of videos shot by players and put together by the Devs.
Just do a search for City of Heroes Staff and you'll find plenty of links to videos

Is there any gameplay footage of the Staff powerset available, or are we expected to buy it solely on the strength of a picture of a guy with a stick?
-
While I do like the design of the jetpack being included in the game card, I'm not about to rent one for five real bucks a month. I'd -buy- one for five bucks and then gladly expend paid-for time to play through new content that "repairs" the jetpack after 30 days of use... in game.
How about offering that as a deal for those of us that already own the games? -
Has there been any more word about the perquisite being given to those of us that bought -both- games seperately before NCSoft's generous gift to accounts that only bought one of the games?
Am I looking in the right place? -
I agree that, as long as they're set as disabled by default, meaning that no info is available on the net without a player's consent, there's no problem.
Publishing a list of @global names from the Friends List without consent is intrusive. -
Not being an expert on the subject, I offer this course of action...
Contact Lighthouse or Ex Libris via PM to look into it (now that the problem's come into public light as well). If the Mr./Ms Paragon contest awards were any indication, an actual ingame 'meeting' between the winner and a person able to actually bestow a yellow character title is involved.
(I also hit the 'notify moderator' button; which may help bring this situation to their attention more quickly.) -
I am generally pleased with the announcement; ESPECIALLY if it means that even 1/4 of the humour that exists in NCSoft's "Dungeon Runners" finds its way to CoX. This franchise has taken itself way too seriously for far too long.

Using the terms "Flashback" and "Weapon Customisation" to describe the new features is entirely misleading.
Neither accomplishes what the forum has been full of requests for since launch.
That being said, I still look forward to the "Time Travel" and "Weapon Selection" features being introduced in Issue 11. -
I'll wait to see it ingame.

Thank god they added that feature to ignore the invasion alerts they assured us all they were looking into as far back as the 3rd, so people who would rather hang out in D's and chat can be left in peace.
Oh wait....

Wasn't that "by popular demand" as well? -
Will you be data mining to see who doesn't log in on those days in order to credit their accounts?
Or...
(editted to add the suggestion link) -
After 21 pages of this thread, has anyone gone back to reread the part that says that this will only be applied to 'inactive' accounts (where 'inactive' means 'not paid for for 90 days')?
If someone has a level 1 character with a name that they're camping, they have to keep -paying- for the right to use that name.
What's the problem? -
Devs, it is not a client side problem.

We would love to hear your feedback on how this patch affected your play and optimization.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, since you're soliciting feedback.
I want to nominate whoever it was that decided that the way to cut the lag that the zone invasions are causing was to cut their frequency for a hearty pat on the back. That probably worked in the rikti war zone.
I want to further nominate that same person, and all those that agreed with him/her to be the recipients of a swift kick in the backside for depriving those of us with toons of a lesser level than 35 of the excitingly rapidfire invasions that had us hopping almost constantly from one zone to another before the patch. The "event" has become boring because you couldn't be bothered to fix your mistake or are incapable of doing so. -
I trust this will address the lag/rubberbanding/disconnections that happen everywhere, including on instanced maps, when the administration invasion spam appears as well.
-
I did this a while ago and Dirtwolf suggested that I post it here.
Enjoy!

Nobody'd have to sweat this if the devs had taken the suggestion to make each fly pose its own power, like the prestige sprints are.
