I've got to admit when I ran my comparison I didn't pay that much attention to animation times. Seems Stone is actually much better than I gave it credit for, where as I just wanted it for the animations and thought it was about equal. I do think hurl is an unlikely inclusion for both Stone and SS in any in combat attack chain though but reality doesn't always touch theoretical figures.

Ice Melee's lack of inclusion I assum is based on the factr it wont touch the other sets? And Mace? (would be interested to see how it ranks)

For a tank I also like to factor in the usefulness of the status effects (though this still leaves Stone Melee looking superior it makes a bit of a change to the others in ultimate ranking) I know it doesn't effect the damage but it can be the be all and end all of a set.

I guess I'm coming out of this going "Wow SM, didn't know you were so nice" though

IIRC stone is quite far ahead in the lower levels but it pretty much evens out with the later powers. Rage puts SS quite far ahead in the end. Sure EM has high ST damage, but its AoE is hardly worth mentioning let alone using.

I looked into all three for making a brute. In the end I picked stone cause it looked so much nicer than the others, I mean who doesn't love the mallets?

8th was Midnight Lost, DM/Regen scrapper made during Issue 3. But I got bored of Regen towards the end of issue 4 and made a DM/SR (which went on to be my 1st 50) Last few months its been bugging me that she's on the list at 39 so figured I might as well get her to 50.

9th? Not sure really, got a tank I like at the moment (WP/Fire), but with my 3rd account in the mail it could be anything really. Am planning a Inv/Stone tank and a Ice/Sonic controller on it at the moment so....... *shrugs*

Oh and DB dont plan to ever play her again, no more regen for me. So she wont die on the STF

I managed to miss out on 3vP, I ocaisionally fight in the zones but generally the atmosphere of there and arena put me off. If there was something like 3vp again I'd bet you'd see a lot of non PvPers involved

Currently a level 20 Elec/Elec Brute.
From my own experience it doesn't steal ALL the experience the mob would provide, it merely steals some of it because the chain lightning effect acts weird... The damage dealt is white, not orange, meaning it doesn't come from you. If the charge kills an enemy, it gives you a funny message like "Longbow Sergeant has defeated Longbow Gunner". I notice about a 10-20% exp penalty when a mob is killed by the jumping charge. I'm not sure if it also affects experience if it merely does damage, but doesn't kill.

I guess it depends on the individual. Me, I'm not bothered. More experience or less experience, either way I'm going to level up eventually. Plus it looks cool, and I find it fun to try and see how many times it can hit before fading. Current record for me is like 8 or something, I think. I ended up killing the enemies before it could keep going.
Some people might value their experience ratio more, though, in which case this could get annoying.

Then again I've only been playing the game since Christmas. But, this is my observation if it's worth anything at all. :P

Also, I find it physically impossible to hit more than two targets with Jacob's Ladder. Cure you, narrow melee cones.
