400 to 500? Where are you that you find these abundance of gifts?! I have flown for over 40 minutes and I'm lucky to find 10! More lucky if someone doesn't mooch off my find.

True...I also noticed new mentoring badges. Were the time frames changed (I went from 1 to 5) also noted that they have similar descriptions buts listed seperately. Any news on these badges?

Statesman, thx for noticing not all sg's are huge with 75% online at all times to gain prestige. My sg is around 30 strong but not enough playtime among them to have more than 2 rooms built with a power generator.

Some ideas suggested are well thought of and would be very valuable to us. Here are some of the suggestions already made with a few of my own: <ul type="square"> * Sell Salvage for prestige
* Trade Tech Salvage for Magic and vice-versa
* Have prestige build and costs porportioned in ratio to sg size (didn't quite follow that post very well....sorry)
* Earn Prestige for badges earned in SG mode, i.e. 1000 per Exploration, 2500 per History, 1000+ per villain (depending on villain badge), 10000+ per SF/TF raising amount per level, and nice prestige bonuses for rare monsters, gladiators, and mission badges (by set)
* Give us the ability to sell Crafted items to players (temp powers or weapons)[/list]This will aid in the building of prestige without it being an easy cash in, after all as in the badge suggestion, we still earn the badges why not earn prestige as well.

All in all...thx again for helping us out

Granted we are still on the reconstruction phase but we have a few amneties to take care of all needs.

First we have Entrance gate , a little foreboding but what do you expect from a villain group.

Next we have the Main Doorway into the Great Hall

The Main Hall serves many purposes: <ul type="square">* A meeting place

* Some Aesthetic and cultural value where group members can just relax after a daunting day of villainy

Yea...well I am using my lower toons to pick up the badge missions and then do a mish swap so my main can get the badge as well. But thanks...I am learning that soloing is the best bet until 18 when teaming becomes more productive as my MM pets are -2.

Just FYI...I don't think it's been posted...but the Mongoose badge is 25 snakes. Counted them last night with my new toon.

Yes...what is the Destined One badge? I know it is an accolade but do you get it from the CoV DVD collectors edition? Cause I have that and I don't have the badge. Do I have to insert the actual disc now and install?

What level is Dr. Shelly? I just got her as a contact tonight and I outleveled her!! Second one!!! First Bocor now Shelly. There is something wrong with this. If I have to pass The Russian to get Shelly as a contact, but my low toon can't survive the run to him to get an early start, then how am I gonna get it if by the time I can run around somewhat safely I have outleved her (same scenario with bocor).

Sorry for the ramble but I am frustrated!!!

I hate to be the devil's advocate on this topic, but it has been my experience that you can outlevel your contacts mid-arc. I have at least 10 in CoH with my main like this and at least 2 with my alts. I don't think it was a bug as I've gone back to them (for the hell of it) but couldn't get anything. Maybe they changed it to +4 or +5 level over the contact's cap to still receive missions, but I have neither read nor confirmed this (I usually out level it by 1 level over cap...and it has pissed me off to end so many times)

Any idea in how many kills before getting the badge?

Very well put! Further observation on the Dev's effort to encourage teaming. As I have said in another post, the intention was there buit not well thought through. By teaming, we also shronk what little prestige we already earn. The bigger the team, the lower the prestige. Personally, I hook up with at least 3 or 4 friends a night if not more. Since in CoH my main is a 37, I no longer earn influence with prestige (level 25 cap). Now I have to choose: earn 3 prestige per "arrest" (wich translates to 34 "arrests" for a lamp) or earn influence (which at the current exchange rate of 1 million inf for 2000 prest. isn't worth it).

So ED, are you sure this was Stateman's idea and not Lord Recluse's?

But my question is in the content. The CoH description mentiones that updates includes CoH and CoV material. The CoV guide seems to be only that, CoV. So what does this mean? I can get the CoH binder and have a guide for both CoH and CoV? Some clarification on that part would help my purchasing decision.

Also, if someone could answer this, the "update packets" are sent periodically or is this something we have to purchase?

Actually, that's not entirely accurate. AM is before noon, PM is after noon. 12:00 is noon. In actuality, it is neither PM nor AM, just like midnight since midnight could either be considered to be 12 hours after noon or 12 hours before. However, since the 59mins following midnight are in AM, midnight is commonly considered AM as well.

Using limits on both 12:00 and 24:00 Noon becomes PM and Midnight Becomes AM.

The trouble is, you're dealing with a discontinuous/step function. If it's not defined AT the point you're approaching, you can easily get into trouble trying to apply limits.

How about this...just drive around EB, Gamestop, or wherever you preordered 3 or 4 days before the release (since some people live in a time warp). If you see a mass of people dressed up for halloween with about 10 Statesman and 25 Arachnos with the occasional Sister Psyche (we all hope for more )Then odds are you are at the pre release.

If it's a no show, then go the next night and look for said congregation, and so forth until you realize "HEY!! IT's Oct. 31...Noon ... Midnight ... whatever ... I HAVE THE GAME!!!"
