Aura went on to other things at NCsoft and is doing well - she says hello.

Gilgamesh went on to another game and was replaced by Arctic Sun. Awry also came on board for CoV as a web writer.

Vyvyanne went on and is lead QA for another NCsoft game.

Valdermic and Jax also went to other games. _Spiral_ is the current QACC.

Finally, today is _Nomad_'s last day with us - she has moved on to be the CC for an upcoming NCsoft game.

Yes - I was busy scaring myself half to death playing F.E.A.R. and The Movies for a week after the regular holiday. So if you sent a PM and haven't heard back yet - give me a few days.

Issue 7 - Tentative plan for releasing the "Feature Update" to the website is mid February - so you might as well settle in for about a month of waiting unless a dev decides to drop some hints.

Of course you already know I7 includes 40-50 content for CoV, and as with every update more art updates, missions, and quality of life features. The other items in I7 will be revealed when we get the Feature Update.

Cryptic Studios and NCsoft would like to assure the community that during the service outage on 12/20/05 around 9pm PST no customer information was compromised in any way. In addition, no character data was affected. The issue was promptly resolved and all systems are again secured.

We have an amazingly funny, creative and active community that likes to play forum games when they are not able to play in the cities. We have your standard forum games such as group story threads, holiday song parodies, and Avatar Wars as well as our own creations such as the Ask A Stupid Question (AASQ) thread, and the Showdown at the Litterbox.

We figured why not create a place for people who like forum games to go play while keeping other areas to their designated purpose. Some of us red names might even start a game or two now that we have a place for it.

I have to say that Castle has made my job much easier, as have all the AT reps we have. Thanks Y'all!

And believe me, Cuppa is the #1 advocate for Hero AT reps. I think the producers hate hearing me on the phone about it.

The Support section of the CoH/CoV website and Help section of the PlayNC website will be undergoing an upgrade and maintenance on Wednesday, December 14th between 6:00 AM and 11:59 AM CST.

Customers may not be able to access the Knowledge Base, “Ask a Question” and “My Stuff” sections of the Support/Help Tool for the duration of the upgrade and maintenance window. For all Support inquiries during this time frame, please send e-mail directly to support@coh.com - these inquiries will be queued for review once the upgrade and maintenance period has been completed.

We will be reactivating the Cathedral of Pain on Test tomorrow (Nov. 30) about 11 am CST. This CoP will have some tweaks from the last one - so grab a group and help us test out the changes!

The launch of City of Villains coincided with Halloween - a favorite time for our players (not to mention ourselves)!

We received many entries to the City of Archvillains Halloween Costume Contest, and we're happy to showcase them for all of you. Some are stunning, inspiring, jaw-dropping, provocative, and of course very frightening! I have added the following to the Issue 6 patch notes - They were inadvertently left off.

In PvP, all players have been given a 25% bonus to base Defense. This change was made to help power sets like Super Reflexes and Force Field that rely on Defense, as they were underperforming in PvP. These power sets were originally balanced against the base to hit chance of minions, which is much lower than the base to hit for characters. This change has no effect on PvE.

Warshade/Eclipse now gives Psionic Resistance.

Modified powers that protect yourself from Controlling effects (for example, Integration, Unstoppable, Rooted, etc). These powers will still protect you from Controlling effects, but multiple hits from controlling powers can overwhelm your protection more easily than before. However, these powers also improve over level, granting you more and more protection as your level increases.
