Well since this is complaining about imbalances, then why don't they up the damage output for Defenders that go there?

I mean everyones complaining that the Stalkers can one shot (although they've always had to 2 shot me) and that Blasters can 2 shot you.

What about us little defenders, i'd have to 30 shot you to even hope for a kill and that's if your regeneration doesn't outshine my damage (which it most likely will).

I've never had a kill in PVP, mostly because I don't kill steal and on the other side, 'cause I just can't output enough damage as my defender to even hope for it.

I do apologize, as I'd said before, I've never used IR goggles myself.
Haven't ever really been bothered about getting AS'd by stalkers, I know they can't do much of anything else and if it makes them feel better they can stab their steel into my back.
Unless i've got my bubbles on, then they usually end up running as I don't go down as quick and the blasters start shooting.

I've never really had a slump time with my Dominator, but I think the Mind/Psi set just fits me REALLY well (even though I've only got the power bolt and Drain Psyche form my secondary thus far)

Go and check for the Defence buff ranges on there.
It talks all about ED if you go a bit down.

I'm still 6 Slotting mine, although I know it's a piddly bonus I'm getting, I just can't help myself.

A general guide is.

2 = No Reduction
3 = Small Reduction
4-6 = Major Reduction

That's life with ED.

I think my big problem is that I have come from playing as a controller in COH, and BOTH are amazing in a team. The trouble is picking up a team in COV, I have found it to be City of Solo much more than COH ever was.

So I decided to make a character I could solo, and have made a corruptor, she is great fun and I spend 50/50 time in teams and solo and it works well. With the Dom it has to be 50/50 Team and looking for a team so the progress is too slow.

Well I'm a few lvl's higher than your Dom, but add me anyway, when I'm online I'm usually making up a team as I hate solo playing and you'd get good xp too

In fact that goes for most players.

I got bored of waiting around once to get a team so i decided to start recruiting for one, now most times I'm online it's not long before I have a 8 player team although some nights are slower than others and to be honest I am trying to get my Hero to lvl 50 so I can get a WS.

But when I'm online send us a tell, I try to include as many as I can and usually when someone drops I have a few on a waiting list to add on.

Just don't over hold my holds and we'll get on fine

I have no problem picking up people that don't mind being lackeyd either.

Poor stalkers, just 'cause a few players don't see 'em coming or know how to deal with it or get the really Annoying stalkers that constantly kill them just 'cause they can, now everyone wants the poor squishy dears to be nerfed. Well fine, I say that if you nerf the stalkers any more then you should up the amount + damage of crits they get when someone is held and then I daresay stalkers come and find me and let's see them scream for another nerf!

If you don't want a stalker to splat you or you want to see them coming go and buy some IR goggles! There problem solved.

Now leave my squishy friends alone! (at least when I'm playing a villian)

On the Hero side! NERF THE STALKERS! how can they just pop around without me seeing them and then thwack me twice and i go down like a wet rag! It's not fair. Waily Waily, Rant Rant (anyone noticed I'm so bored with this?), Yacka Yacka, Scream, etc. etc. Expletives and all that.

I have been swatted more than merry a time by stalkers and quite frankly, I find it funny. I know that I can buy IR's and then i'll see them, but I don't.

Quite frankly, in my honest opinion, leave the poor buggers alone and if your going to complain about them, expect your AT to get nerfed not long after along with all the other AT's 'cause then we'll ALL be too overpowered over the stalkers.

Their whole point is:

INVIS - AS

That's it, they don't have any more options than that really. That's what they do, just that. Nada much more.
I only played one for a few lvl's in Beta, so please if I'm wrong let me know.

I say go buy some IR's and stop gabbing and yacking over the stalkers and go and splat the poor squishies in PVP on Wednesday.

Keep running with the Sonic Defender though, it'd appear that there isn't someone else on the boards to deliver comments on it.
But I know with my bubbler as well, after a few lvl's I got really depressed and iffy about him, not really wanting to take him further and thought of retiring him and starting something else. BOY am I GLAD I didn't!!!
Now he's major fun.

There are those slump times, but you have to push through them. If you don't have a flavour for the character though, well then nothing can be done about that.

It's quite satisfying.
Generally I tend to pick up teams on my own instead of the usual waiting around to see if anyone will pick you out of the crowd.

Playing a Mind dom, it's a bit harder since pple don't seem to understand that the ZZZZ means their sleeping and if you hit them with an AOE they'll all wake up.

But you live and learn.... Or die horribly in most cases.
I know a few other Dom's, but not many either.

There's nothing more powerful than 2 Dom's that know what their about and how to play together though.

Me and a friend could hold off 3 mobs while the rest of the team is happilly pummeling away.
Most helpful in those little scraps where you'r already in over your head and out pop's an ambush.

I've been iterested in playing a AT with Sonic, although I think it would be most likely that after I take balance to 50, i'd take a different AT with Sonic as I've done the defender thing, but it does so suit me.

Well, i can't really give comments on it, since I haven't experienced it, but I would like to keep updated on it as it's something I'd be interested in playing.

On the other foot, I don't think I have a very PVP build for my defender, nor really my Dominator, but it's not really a PVE build either, it's just what I went for when I wanted/could get it. I'm not one to go planning out a character all the way to the end. I like picking things up that I want as I go along.
Gimp myself? Maybe. Couldn't be bothered.
I do the same thing with Pen & Paper, I pick things up as I go along.

But anyway, PVP unbalanced? I'm not entirely sure.
I mean, maybe, but I'm not a number crucher or any of those other things.

I like PVP as it is. I can't say as I've ever splatted someone, but I've had a lot of fun getting splatted & besides maybe someday I'll build myself a pure PVP character.

But if you ask me, especially on the people complaining about Stalkers, I have to agree, So Blooomin what that they AS you, that IS what they do.
It's just people that can't handle loosing a bit, specially if it's unexpected.
It's what a stalker can do, if they were running around and everyone could see them then they'd be a pointless AT.

How many of you guys/gals will I be seeing about on Wednesday?
I'll be there in all my bubbling glory, but I could sure use a hand keeping everyone well protected (especially since double bubble stacks when coming from another)

Empaths will most definately be most welcome as well.
As will all types of Defenders, That include's the Trick Arrowers!

I could never EVER skip stamina on any of my toons

With Drain Psyche you could be able too as that runs up your end and health quick again, (if you hit) but you also need a few oponents with it.

Personally even with stamina running, if I don't use a Drain Psyche as well, I'm down on the End count. I can't even imagine how quick I'd go down if I didn't have Stamina.

TK is a GREAT power, I've saved my own and many a teams butts with a well pulled off TK, ofcourse sometimes you only catch the one, or the team knocks off the one you TK, but generally they all have loved getting a good wall bash in.

Although I've had many a team chat of: What the <self censor> is that another bug?
And of course me going, No, that's me!

TK is a great, We're in trouble now power!

Yes, in the end I had to go and buy a flight temp power which I tried but the end drain was became too big with all my toogles. Might spec in hover for pvp.

Scarlet's mother had captured his heart and they both battled crime together from that day, saving countless people from the Circle.
One day though, they were overwhelmed and killed, the circle having laid a trap and placed a charm of non teleportation around them.

Scarlet was forced to grow up quickly to take care of his still young brother. One night though a group of hellions went on a rampage, Scarlet hid his brother and tried to lead them away. However when he came back his brother was nowhere to be seen.

Recently with the outbreak from Zig, Scarlet has been hearing his brothers name, just whispers and bits of gossip, but he will not rest till he finds the truth.

Was another villian and about 5 hero's.

I got splatted a lot, specially as soon as I started spamming the holds, it was great fun though and I kept going back for more, until they all left.


It was great fun though, even though there were so few online.

I want to be in a big battle tooo!

Hmmm... TK + corner = Monkeys in a barrel for the brutes to pummel merrily.

Can't remember as I have anything better to do and a good 'ol fight would indeed be fun... now am I good or am I bad?

I know for a fact though that my leadership defence is working through it.
I wish my force bubble was too though.

Ahhh to sit in safety while no one can get a close shot against you and have to use their ranged attacks.

Anyone notice, but the forcebubble draws a lot of aggro, at least for me... and MAN do those ranged attacks hurt, specially when teaming with people a few lvls higher.

I digress though.

The PFF is definately a FANTASTIC power.
It's the only thing that's saved me from loads of debt on more than one occasion, although I really should click it sooner, that split second seems to get me everytime though.

And then it's off to the hospital.

The PFF is really one of the major things that makes playing my bubbler so great!

My Leadership and my dispersion bubble still gives it's buffs to my team... which i'm really grateful for.
My Forcebubble doesn't work or the closer range knockdown bubble though.

But the other 2 definately do still work.

I know what you mean, i've been on a team often enough where i go flying ahead to see what's on, get in trouble and then PFF and just hang there getting shot at by reds/pinks/oranges and taking little to no damage.

It's quite fun!
