What? You don't like those gravity defying assets? Fair enough! Yes more realistic hands and feet plus assets with that little bit of bounce when running and walking... oh and walking would be nice too.

Walking with a general natural looking walk for men and a (slight, not exaggerated) hip-swinging walk, almost like a strut, walk for females.

All basic animations could do with a good overhaul tbh but realistically I guess they're what they describe as 'fit for purpose'.

Having a game segregated like CoX is with EU clients and US clients is old fashioned imo. Having servers located in both is fine for purposes of minimising server/client lag but it limits people's choice to play on one set or the other and it should be down to the player to decide which server(s) to play on even if the lag time would be increased.

Forums are supposedly merging EU and US so I hope that this move foreshadows a point when US servers are opened up to EU players and vice versa and perhaps at that time, if it's necessary, merging a few of the servers. It may not be a popular move at the beginning but it's inevitable that over time people will move on to other new MMO's and the CoX community will get smaller and without a merge people would soon get an idea of what a ghost town server really is.

But it's the MA being so prevelant, namely in Atlas, that's the problem. Or at least it seems to be.
Atlas used to be about low level teams, hunt teams, and sewer runs. Now it's farm central, which used to be PI. Now, you still got lvl 1's in PI, asking to join farm missions, I know. But they were normally players who had played the game before. Not people who had literally just finished installing the game. Which is what they are confronted with when they go to Atlas now.

I love to eb able to build my own private Lab/lair, even if there was a size restriction (ie smaller than SG bases) it could include one tp that links to the world portals and to your SG base (if you have one). Perhaps a TP in the SG base which allows you to tp to any members lair/private base if it's open to SG members...

I know I'd enjoy creating a base per character and I know I'd use he invention system a lot more to craft items for that base.

Think of the possibilities!

Besides the existing game JP's don't need to be customisable to be included in a choice of JP style from the minibooster (although it would be very welcome and your idea of unlocking an identical costume piece is a good one). I don't know how it's done right now (I presume the power is available to you immediately after applying the purchase code to the account) but if that purchase were to appear as a claim voucher (similar to the Vet claim badges) giving you a choice of which style you want to have.

Still, as 1 is still a suggestion related to a booster pack item rather than a costume part, and because it adds extra visibility to what seems like a popular request, this thread isn't entirely worthless!

To be honest the actual flying ability is a secondary. I basically want the same as Coolio, a JP costume piece which animates like the rocket boots but doesn't give flight power.

However, that said, at the moment I only have a choice of either:

A £3 purchase of a JP which gives me 30 days of flight, something that I'd do if I could customise the colouring of it (or choose the JP style), this gives the added bonus of not needing fly from the flight pool.

Or

A 10,000 Inf purchase of a raptor pack which only gives 2 hours worth of flight meaning far too many regular trips back to the vendor (as I fly to most places) and meaning that realistically it'd be better for me to keep my flight ability.

Some of you might think I'd be crazy to fork out extra cash on top of the sub every month, but an extra £3 doesn't particularly bother me to be honest.

So this thread has three suggestions:

1) the ability to choose the style of JP from the minibooster (Choices of the exising LKT-1700 ducted-fan jet pack, Raptor Pack etc.. [Not seasonal versions though])
2) the ability to customize the colouring of the minibooster JP (as previously requested by Coolio in the costume request thread)
3) the ability to have animated costume JPs available at the tailors (again requested by a few people in the costume request thread as I now read it).

Actually my Villain wouldn't need one (RP wise of course) but it would suit one of my heroes down to the ground. But your right they're available, but I'd prefer not to have to keep going back after 2 hours worth of usage or run the risk of running out of air time and having to make my way back to a vendor.

Besides, £3 for 30 days worth of a temp power isn't that much on top of the monthly sub for me so it's not really an issue.

The term Coming Soon™ should be banned imo. Mind you we'll probably have Forthcoming™ or Arriving Shortly™ instead.

I've seen requests for JP costume pieces in the suggestions thread, which is why I said it's been said before. I couldn't find any reference to selectable styles or customisation of the existing JP from the minibooster though (although the search function generally fails me), which is why I made this post! I guess I miss read the post you made though. I know that you can purchase raptor packs from JP vendors but the 2 hour usage limit is too short for my liking.

I'm not sure about anyone else but I would consider purchasing this pack on a monthly basis plus a one time respec for one or two of my characters, so that I can get rid of the flight power and use that slot for something else, if you could either select a type of jetpack you get i.e. the one that already comes with the minibooster or raptor pack etc.. or if you can customise the colours the pack is available in.

Of course I'd not need to do any of that if there were jetpack style costume pieces available, I'd even purchase a full booster pack regardless of other content if jetpack style costume pieces were included with it.

So basically I guess what I'm suggesting is either have a selection of jetpack from the minibooster or ability to recolour the existing minibooster jetpack or, as has been suggested a few times, have jetpack costume pieces.

I know it's hard to leave a game that you've invested some time in, so if you leave for good or decide to come back in the future, I wish you well.

I have my costume changes all macro'd which is fine if you have plenty of space in the ability bars. I'm happy with it like that but if it causes some difficulty with binds then I don't see why it can't be done so that a specific emote is specified either in the costume change box with a dropdown under each open slot or as an option in the costume design screen at the tailors.

I see where you're coming from, I used to play an MMO which I started in earnest halfway through it's life and over the past few years my optimism/pessimism meter went from overly optimistic to exessively negative. In fact a good many of my recent posts on their forums have been 84'd because I've been questioning the company's abilities a bit harshly.
So coming here (after previous said game was announced to be closing) I can see a marked difference (for the better) in both customer relations and development so at the moment I don't see the bad as you do but I'm sure I will over time.
I'm not wrong though, depending on viewpoints and the amount of rosyness your glasses are tinted with, explanations can be seen as excuses and vice versa.

So while the content brought out in I15 is a lot more than I've been used to, it now sets a benchmark for me in which I can compare the next issue and subsequent ones in which case I'll have to wait til I16 to see if GG is wrong or right about the major issue hype getting pushed back an issue.

Explanations are always called excuses by the pessimistic. You'll just have to wait until I16 to see if what GG has suggested is correct, but by what's been shown so far (blue fire imps etc..) it is possible that I16 can be quite a major issue. Mind you I don't want to hype anything up at this point.

My SG has been added to the handbook so I'll be adding some stuff about my characters soonish

Not everyone goes away or abroad for the holidays, in fact this year it's been suggested that people are taking less time away from home due to the economic situation.

Regardless, If people are going away it's simply bad luck. There'll be another DXP event at another time. It's a game, get over it.
