Hrmm... there is one thing I must ask.

Why would WP/NC care about one another enough to make them "Arch" eachother?

I mean they are living in a "CITY of Heroes" what would prompt them to seek eachother out like that?

You may need to flesh out more characters that would draw these 2 together, both in terms of "Friendly" competition and a common Defense. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" type thing.

My CJ story(In my BRAINS!!!) has at least 3 supporting characters, and for the most part I'm leaning toward just telling CJ's story not even from his POV, but all from an interested 3rd party. Kinda like Marvels where the whole pantheon and great events of the Marvel U are seen/told not by a "Super" but a normal Man trying to live within it's confines.

Takin a week off and not "working" really feels unproductive. Not that it wasn't needed, but man... Did Registering for College get more difficult? or maybe it's just these new state Laws and guidelines I've got to get acclimated too. Either way, Poo on Schoo... well the registration part anyway.

So yeh, Not alot of work was done on my non-que stuff, but I was able to WIP out the Artist Exchange gift.

As Suggested, Miller is pretty much "THE" source for the modern comix look of straight 2 tone stuff. Very Dynamic, and great use of Negative Space.

Another would be David Lapham. "Stray Bullets", "Amy Racecar" and his latest(only) run on "Dardevil/Punisher"(Colored but good).

Don't be afraid to go back in time too. The late Alex Toth has an amazing grasp of black&white too.

And of course Mike Mignola. If ya can find them, the old b&w issues of Hellboy are amazing.

Which leads to "Batman: BLack & White", 2 vols' both very good.

Hrmm.... Drawing "Ethnicity?" There's always a line, but for everyone it's different. Realistically, grab alot of National Geographics(Cheap!) and draw from those. Every ethnicity has it's telltale mark.

As you saw with the CuppaJo Fannart/& the Debacle that followed *cough*MMOART*cough*, we all really enjoy the community aspect here and band together well when needed.

What I'd like to see, is:

* Officially Sponsored Art Contests.
* Cross Promotion throughout the forums. via: more Art/Fannart images throughout the Forums. ie: If you enter into the Scrapper Forum, there'd be an image at the top of "Scrapper of the Month/Week/Year/Etc"
* Fix the Embed image issue. Sure, we know it's both a bandwidth issue and an issue with possible/probable illicit images being posted, but If I remember right by signing up for the forums we ackowledge and sign a contract not to do so. If found, kick us. That simple.

Hoo! So Friday's here and as planned here's an Announcement fer you all.

I plan on starting up 3 commission/que's.

1. Standard: My usual Black and White stuff. Still focusing on Dynamic Lighting/Posing.

2. Chibi's: I love'm. Doodle them all the time really.

3. Busts: I've found my faces lacking as of late. So, I'll do some busts to help flesh that out.

Limit of 12 each, and no real ETA as to when I'll get them all done... but I'm shootin for about a month. Workin on the last Que brought to my attention that I can work alot more than I am now. So I need to push myself as far as I can to fill it all in. Stressful? Yes. Rewarding? Hell Yes.
