Quote:LOL.. I doubt I'll be doing dress-up, but I'll bring along my Hellion t-shirt* if you want to use it as a raffle prize! If anyone wants to come along in costume (or feels brave enough) they're more than welcome to
There may even be a prize for the best dressed.....
*washed, of course! -
Luminara's guide is the one I keep coming back to. Definately one of the best.

Quote:Can you post up the build for your archer? Something seems very wrong. My TA/Arch is level 50 and I've played him both solo and in teams with few of the problems you've mentioned.
My TA/Archery Defender is level 43 and has only completed a half dozen story arcs. -
Quote:Last time I used it, the tank complained about splitting his herd... this was one of the reasons I stopped using it.I don't know how many times I've used the KB in Explosive Arrow to knock runners/stragglers to the feet of the scrappers/tanks, and got a "Oooo look, a present! Just for me?" in response. XD

If I'm playing a Natural origin character then I don't take obviously super Travel Powers (I don't like justifying TPs with gadgets either, feels like cheating).
-
Mine'll be in the loft somewhere, along with the various photos and sketches from past NCSoft meets at Memorabilia, Omega Sektor, etc. Might have to bring some of the old stuff along for nostaligia's sake!
-
OMG... I forgot about those ID cards! Good reminder there, P.
Sounds like this is actually going to be quite a big meet. Are you sure this place is prepared for a sudden influx, Kall? We might need to go into the place in shifts! -
I might try respeccing into it with an alternate build and see if I can change my opinion of it. Seems a few people enjoy it, so I'm open to being convinced!
-
Never learnt the trick of using knockback effectively, so it just doesn't work with my style of play. Prefer to keep everything grouped together under Glue Arrow or Oil Slick and then take them out from there. Having them bouncing around and seperated doesn't work for me.
-
Ahh.. so Explosive Arrow still sucks then?
-
I'm surprised you had so much trouble with a TA/Arch Defender at Level 43. My main has always been TA/Arch Defender and remains so even though he's now a 50. Personally I've never had a problem with them.
Remember to use Poison Gas Arrow as well, as if the boss is doing less damage then you'll be in the fight for longer even if you do get hit occasionally. Glue Arrow also is good for bridging the gaps when waiting for Ice Arrow to recharge or if it misses.
Set up your own buffs, then start off with Ice Arrow to hold the boss and then follow up your debuffs. Once the scene is set, start spamming attacks and hit with repeats of Ice Arrow, Poison Gas Arrow & Acid Arrow when they recharge. Just remember not to stand still! -
Quote:Are you playing through contact missions or radio/newspaper missions? How about the best content, doing random missions gets old and that's all I've been doing so far.
What level are you?
Are you playing for the stories or just looking for a challenge?
Have you tried the Mission Architect missions?
What kind of missions/content do you like?
"Best content" is going to be very subjective depending on what the player answering you likes themselves. Maybe give us some hints on what you like and we might be able to steer you a little better. -
You're best off heading over to Paragon Wiki and browsing there... Way too much content in the game to post in a forum reply.

Quote:That's insane! O_oOne thing I discovered recently that may be of use to others (I've already PMd Zortel with this).
If you're looking at a longish train journey with at least one change in it, try booking it in parts, it may be a lot cheaper. (I used trainline.co.uk)
eg: Norwich -> Birmingham = £65.90 return
Norwich-> Peterborough and Peterborough -> Birmingham returns, 4 advance single tickets can be done for £20 total for that weekend. -
Quote:You're best bet is to send a message to one of the mods... not sure who's doing the job these days, but pick a red name and go for it.Any idea how I go about changing the thread title? It could do with being "The Unofficial EU/UK Birmingham Player Meet" or something seeing as it's now been organised... :S
-
Quote:Cool, that would make it just like the Omega Sektor meet then. Kall, can you arrange to have a security guard bust into the toilets while Dante is using them too, just so he feels doubly at home!I hate to sound cynical but if there was an official presence at an event outside of the US, I would do The Underpants Dance down the local highstreet while wearing a bucket on my head.
BTW, I'll be there. -

Seems like the Devs want suggestions on where to go for new 'Player Meets' and yes, those of us in the EU theatre are feeling the cold shoulder a bit, even though there are plenty of conventions over here which NCSoft could attach itself to. This list is pretty UK-centric as I'm not even sure what's going on in the rest of Europe con-wise, so there's probably even more!

Leaving the bemused and slightly scared trader to cope with removing the casing around the bow, Jay moved around the edges of the booth to get a better view. He hadn't liked threatening the man, but Jay liked being unarmed even less. Over the heads of the crowd he could make out The Spoiler and his Star Wars cronies on the stage, as well as the man-mountain that was Brian. Saffron wouldn't be far from her Father, so at least Jay had somewhere to head if something happened. Even with so many heroes in one place, Jay would rather put himself back-to-back with people he trusted.
But if anything did happen then he'd need more than just a bow and no ammunition...
Jay's eyes sparkled as a grin spread across his face and he made his way through the crowd toward a large display of cases and frames entitled Battle Zone: Movie Weapons and Props. -
From this part of the trader's area, the view of the stage was obscured but The Spoiler's message rang clear through the PA. Pushing the lid back onto the sharpie he had been using to sign action figures boxes, Jay Reynolds breathed a sigh of resigned frustration. He'd been late to the opening of the convention and had them gotten waylaid speaking to cosplayers and attendees before spotting the trader with the boxful of unopened Crimson Archer action figures. Jay'd been nervous about the reception he'd recieve from the public since his release from The Zig, but up until now it had been really positive. Then this...
He knew Saffron and Brian were here somewhere, along with God knows how many other heroes, so this seemed like a strange place for a wanna-be supervillain to launch his masterplan. Jay shook his head then signalled to the trader near-by, pinting to the glass case at the back of the stall.
"Hey fella, tha' Manticore bow an' quiver come wit' a certificate'o authencity?" He asked, his voice thick with a smooth, southern drawl. "Cos if it does, then ah'll take it off ya hands right now." -
Congrats on your new position, Melissa.. well deserved!
Looks like the future should be quick exciting for a while yet, but my questions is...
When are you coming back to the UK??? We miss you!
