I work nights, so I'm usually on early mornings - 7am Central to about noon.
Weekdays I'm usually on before noon Central; look me up. My global is Kavik

So, even after getting every single incarnate boost possible your saying Palladin will still mop the floor with me regardless?

Just doesn't sound like the demi-god levels of power I'd envisioned.

Please consider that having the Alpha Enhancement, even at VERY RARE / Tier 4 level, is not the same as being an Incarnate in the sense of Statesman and Lord Recluse. We have a long way to go to be on a literal part with them.

Also, I may not be able to solo any GMs, but with the Level Shift of the UNCOMMON Alpha enhancement I was able to go one-on-one against Eochai, Winter Lord, Lusca, etc. I never neat any of them, but they never beat me either. I either kept at them till I was able to get a team together, or I eventually broke it off, usually after more than 30 minutes of melee goodness.

So no, I cannot smack-down Babbage, but he can't smack me down either.

No worries. I had a feeling that's what it was, but I was hoping maybe a change to the current Party Pack was coming; cheaper price, costume parts added, something that would justify the purchase.

And not even that. They have the code for stubby tails in-game already; they use it on the warwolves.

You get one Wolf head w/ 2 options, Arctic Wolf or Grey Wolf

You get one Minotaur head w/ 3 different horn selections (or none) and 4 different nose ring selections (or none)

There are two different size Cat heads, with choices of Lion, Tiger, or Plain (for the large head) and Cheetah or Panther (for medium head). Each get 4 different ears w/ 5 different options. The Large head additionally has more options for the face, as well as a teeth option allowing you to go sabertooth tiger style, plus 3 manes, w/ 2 options as well.

Currently there is 1 Bird head, but it does have 3 different beaks.

The Animal Fur pattern is similar to Monstrous Fur, but it doesn't leave exposed skin. It is not universally available for all tops and bottoms, but it looks great where it IS available.

The Cat Claw boots (seen in my pic of Kavik) can be skin or hairy (monstrous fur or animal fur), and have patterns for cheetah, leopard, and tiger. The Bird Claw boots just have hairy and skin.

For tails we get a new Ragged Wolf tail (you'll still want to use the old wolf tail for fox or squirrel toons) and a minotaur tail.

The new aura is called Beastly Rage. So far its best feature seems to be the steam / smoke breath exhalation effect, but it has options for any and all body parts we usually see on newer auras, as well as being always-on or combat-only.

The new CC emotes are fur spin, feather spin, fur burst, and feather burst. These really need to be color-changeable, but as is they still look pretty cool.

I didn't count all the features / options, so I cannot confirm the 60 new pieces claim, but I will say it more than meets my needs, and the bulk of it seems geared towards felines, which is fine for me too.

But what about as a Scrapper, since the OP is posting about a scrapper build / attack chain in the Scrapper sub-forum?
  7. With my main toon I have done every blueside arc, but when he went villain as a 50 I was limited to Ouro and the generousity of lowbies. Appearently there aren't as many lowbie VEATS out there, or not as many lowbie VEATS that need/want help, as there are lowbie HEATS. So I missed a few VEAT missions, and its possible I missed a handful of red non-flashbackable missions.

I'm happy with my progress so far, but I REALLY want those goldside badges!
  8. Very nice. I wound up doing the final mission of LGTF with a duo of a controller and a master mind, but we still had 6 to 3 people on the team when we finished off weakened hami, so it ain't nearly so impressive.
  9. Very much lovin' the animal booster. Yes, I'd love some simian, ursine, porcine, reptilian, etc. parts... but this is a great booster, and there's no reason to think we won't see more animal packs in the future.

  10. I do not know, but I would seriously doubt it.
  11. I would support this, though it would be frustrating to lose my toon's name bu entering Warburg when another toon w/ the same name from a diff server is zoned-in.

My main toons are all on Infinity. I like the community I play with on Infinity. I also want to try some real PvP, beyond "let's take turns collecting the badges". What I don't want to do is start over w/ new toons and abandon my main toons, or blow a lot of money moving them all to Freedom.

    /this

I think they did not anticipate the sheer num,ber of folks that would turn out for the animal pack. The party pack didn't do nearly so well, and for years the devs were stating the party line that they weren't going support turning this into City of Furries.

So now they know just HOW interested players are in the animal pack. As a give-away, it was a victim of poor planning; true. But as a marketing ploy, I think it demonstrated that we the players WANT these kind of boosters. And to me, this makes our efforts to attend a worthwhile endeavor.
  13. Woot, gotta say; AVATEA ROCKS!!!

And I'd be saying that even if I didn't win a code. :-)
  14. I love this thread! These costume clones are great, and unlike tribute costumes of Marvel, DC, etc. characters, none of these will get you generic'ed!

One of Neuron's failed experiments proved able to resist his programming, when he turned out to be a werewolf.

    Cat in a Tree

But while 9 out of 10 times it IS a harmless cat that cannot deal any real damage to you, on that 10th time is is a catgirl stuck in a tree, and you wind up battling the Praetorian AV Bobcat!

Can I use my STRR to craft the SRP or do I need to start from scratch and build up to the PRR and the PCR in order to get the SRP?

Wish I had noticed this before. Dumb dumb dumb.
You're fine. I made that same mistake myself at first. It was pointed out to me that when you look at the necessary components to craft a SRP, you can scroll down; it shows you different combinations that can all be used to make the Tier 4 you want.
  17. The one toon I have that's a millionaire is ALSO a god. MidGaard was my answer to the age old question, "What if Bruce Wayne had found the hammer of Thor?" When I started him at level 1, I assumed he had just been in a terrible battle destroying his insane arch-enemy Utgaard, and as a result was suffering dimentia and a serious decline in power. So no all-powerfulness and no uber-richness until he could sort things out... at level 50. Was it all just a lesson in humility? If so, it worked; now he's haunted by the things he did (started him as a villain).

My main toon Kavik the Wolf Boy is kind of a god, but it's not a good thing. During the Coming Storm he was lost in the Shadow Shard while one of Rularuu's aspects was slain. As a werewolf with the potential for immortality Rularuu began slowly transforming Kavik into a replacement aspect. After years of this, realizing what he was becoming and the danger he now posed, he traveled back in time and merged with his 'present' self. Of course, every time he uses the powers of his future self, he is also helping Rularuu build a gateway back to the real world. The toon has a 'battle-worn' costume demonstrating the partial transformation, and I only RP him to be at Incarnate level when sporting this look, which is also when he tends to go into berserker rages and act very arrogant.

Dr Herbert is quite poor but quite arrogant, believing that as a healer he has the power to grant life (as opposed to combat powers which merely grant death), so he considers himself to be godlike. Of course he isn't, but as his life's ambition to 'cure' death has taken him from Arkham to Sharkhead to Paragon City, he has learned the potential value of science, technology, and magic in restoring life to the dead. His zombies are the result of alchemy (science), his Rise of the Phoenix was a magick learned from an eldritch god he now tries to avoid, and as for technology, he has tapped into the mediport systems used by both heroes and villains so he can teleport his allies to himself so he can heal their wounds on the spot. For a non-powered human to achieve all that, why wouldn't he consider himself godlike?
  18. I'd love to get Robert Downey Jr to play Kavik the Wolf Boy... but more than likely I'd get stuck with (and settle for) Luke Wilson.
  19. Great job. I am curious what Feb 23, 2011 has to do with the Party Pack?
  20. Kristoff von Gelmini,

Even though you never actually log onto these forums, so you most likely will never read this, I have to give you credit; you have one of the longest and most cumbersome player character names I've ever seen, deserving of the longest and most cumbersome run-on sentence I could think up on such short notice.

    Friends forever,
    Kavik the Wolf Boy -Infinity
  21. Since Malta is highly anti-superbeing, I can only assume Malta's L58 AV's secret identity is Bruce Wayne.

Edit: Wait, he's only L54? Heck, he could be Irving Forbush then.
  22. Dear JavaBean,

You give me the pep to keep going. You may be a defender, but I'll always be your support piece.

    with love,
    Kid Kilovolt -Infinity

  23. I used to have his colors (and facial hair) match Snaptooth better, but I changed them to keep him looking more like his main costume (he's a leprechaun)... and to avoid all the angst from teammates who thought I was a foe.
  24. There's a creepiness factor to this which surpasses (to me) the most graphic and disturbing of Italian gore flicks.
  25. I hadda camp on the lawn next to the zombies to win the coralax costume a couple months ago; I think it's great to see an in-game way to win one of these. And of course I plan to buy the booster anyway, even if I do win (two accounts), but just try to keep me away!

    Oh, and THANK YOU DEVS!
