SteelRat, It was actually thanks to most of the friendly responses post to this that I decided to stay.
Also it is good for the new players to see how (reasonably) friendly the forumites are. -
No drink...
Will a (purple) Luck insp do instead? -
Maybe they could have a secure area where the info was open to CGT, CIT etc.
Then we could still use current sites, but with server based info, rather than trying to capture it or confirm each badge/powerset manually.
Then they could use the web show/hide option to it's fullest.
(The above is my personal opinion... Remember you are allowed your own too.) -
Check this out...

Crimson_Belt, Send me a pm with your global k.

Thanks all, have kept my heroes, but am going to spend a little time giving my defiant villains some tlc...
I think they missed me...
As for union chat my global is in my sig.
Ty again all, the forum community has restored my faith in the game one. -
Due to the attitudes of some so called 'Heroes'.
This post is to give other players this info and maybe a good hero or two may get me to change my mind...
Seems a shame to delete 12 characters (toons) due to server attitude. (Or all 24 if I quit.)
Maybe YOU can persuade me not to.

Why not have a direct copy of the MM's but instead of only working on summoned henchmen, adjust it slightly so it works on fallen enemies/allies.
(And it could affect fallen allies similar to vengeance, as in not affecting that characters chance to rez.) -
Thanks for the support Judgement_Dave,
As for the vault suggestion, it's a bit of a red flag to a bull towards the devs, just trying to give em some ideas.
Anyway as the devs would decide if combined storage happens and any effect on capacity is in their hands,
all I can say about it is over to the devs...
Edit: Got it, keep current storage and growth as your characters level but combine it across that accounts, servers, faction.
(That would allow capacity to raise as now but to be accessible to all of that accounts faction on a per server basis.)
Mind you I'd still like feedback from other readers about these suggestions. -
Seems similar to a Necro MM's Soul Extraction:
Soul Extraction
You can extract the soul from one of your defeated undead henchmen and summon its spectral essence to do your bidding. The power of the soul is dependent upon the type of undead henchman you extract it from; however, it will always be one level lower than you. Unlike your other henchmen, the extracted soul is only loosely bound to your control and will eventually move on to the next world. The soul cannot gain new powers with Enchant Undead or Dark Empowerment.

Np, so is 6x a current single characters 'Vault' storage limit reasonable to ask as a combined limit.
Also does that mean you like my other ideas and it's this specific one that needs more fine tuning? -
Anyway *Grabs fire extinguisher and puts flames out...*
What about the other 8 ideas listed hmm? -
And how many of those scattered vaults have exactly the same junk (err salvage) in them?
By removing the single character vaults you remove the hoarding ability when the vault is combined.
I am currently trying to figure out the best figure for the loss/gain of the vault difference.
I assume you would even complain if I suggested 6x a single chars slots for combined vault storage...
(AKA I'll complain if I can't hoard.)
Also please note I was not suggesting dumping anything stored over the suggested limit after the change,
but just allowing items to be added/stored up to that limit.
Personally the 'Vault' storage seems to currently only get used as a dumping ground to hoard items,
by sharing this facility it would get used "properly" by more players...
Otherwise it may as well get removed from the game completely - Making people use Wentworth's,
The Black Market or drops. -
I got that it was your idea Sugar_Rush,
I was just saying as Gilmore agreed with you what could happen,
but with my 'Vault' suggestion that situation wouldn't happen.
Anyway what do you think to my Ideas?
(The list is on page 1.) -
Hmm, do I take that as a /signed then Gilmore?
Further to the above...
Judgement_Dave,
My suggested change to 'Vault' storage would also mean that one of your 50's could buy the required salvage/recipes from Wentworth's for any of your alt's and place said item in the combined vault, thereby freeing your alts to sell their common salvage for inf, which they could use to buy enhancements or similar.
Just my POV. -
Judgement_Dave,
I was not suggesting decimating storage as we currently have Personal (Carried) and Vault (Stored) storage, and if you read the bit about storage capacity bonuses elsewhere it states the bonuses only affect the (Carried) storage capacity.
I was looking at a way of making the 'Vault' storage more viable, as a shared resource.
(Noting that the devs want to restrict hoarding.)
My suggestion would still allow you to have each characters 'Carried' storage but also an easy method to transfer commonly needed recipes and salvage to all of your characters of a faction on that server.
Further to this you wouldn't have to try to remember what each character has in the storage vault.
The reason for reducing the 'Vault' storage would be because every character of a faction of yours could access it, so to a single character it would appear to increase from the current limit up to say current x4, (based on servers.) for example from 35 up to 140 item capacity.
(If extra slots become available this 'Vault' limit could raise to 1.5x or 2x the number of servers. (With 2x being 2x4 servers =) 8x current 'Vault' capacity.)
I believe I have come up with a method that the devs would consider useful, whilst not allowing excessive hoarding.
(Which means it is more likely to get implemented if the devs choose to do so. IMHO.)
Hopefully this explains it for you (and the other readers) in finer detail...
To paraphrase: All characters can carry salvage and recipes on them as now but rather than a vault per character combine it so the stored items are in a single vault per faction per server per account.
(Single 'Vault' capacity as per highest faction character's current 'Vault' capacity x number of servers.)
Finally, NP Gilmore, I got the gist of what you were saying... Ninja MM's = Bow.
Watches as one of Gilmore's new SG members crafts and takes a lvl 50 damage set invention that Gilmore
'pre-programmed' to sell at Wentworth's while Gilmore was changing characters...
(I think that is/was a bad idea... IMO heh.) -
Ty Gilmore, so it should really be Grenades as a additional tyvm.
-
Transient_One my reasoning for a few of these as follows...
1. Several players want to be able to use a secret ID, I just thought that this would be an easy way for the devs to add that without so much hassle they decide not to, if it was implemented, there is no reason for you to have to use it, it would be there for players who have one costume aka a suit or similar to act as their civilian clothes, and hence may want a temporary civilian name.
2. I was thinking a quick method of adding a new secondary power set for MasterMinds, as many of them don't suit carrying a bow as a secondary weapon, think Thug primary with dual guns, oh I want an EMP pulse I think i'll dump my guns and use this old bow... Nope give me grenades any day, especially as there is no MM Primary using a bow. (At this time.)
3. Yes but I'm also advocating a different animation for nails over claws, therefore not breaking the current game for other players.
4. Yes, and don't know why they hadn't possibly thought of using Baggy based clothing as a starting point, it appears almost robe like when standing but then splits to legs as you run, etc. (So it should be possible to link the leg edges to form a robe skirt.)
5. Ty ReclusesPhantom, that was exactly what I meant.
6. Exactly.
7. Your opinion is your own, but thank you for allowing me my suggestion, maybe the devs would add my idea as extra powers on those 2 pools at that level, mutually exclusive of course, then that would also help it by not breaking current gameplay.
Alternatively it could also be range limited as restriction f.
8. My whole point of the idea, smaller account storage but easier to share without hoarding everything, also players with less characters end up with more storage.. (For the US versions it could be roughly based on 1x servers or similar.)
9. Yup, Lol it is, almost as bad as a PPD beating up an innocent civilian...
(Looks at item 1. as a ciVillain < heh.)
Anyway thanks for your opinions, any more from other people? -
Thanks for the support ReclusesPhantom,
Come on people, are there no other opinions on these?
